Nestled in Yachats, this lovely house for $135 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. The Shell Haven is a beautifully constructed home with ever-changing peeks of the ocean and bay and easy beach access. All three levels in this home offer privacy and plenty of space for the entire family. The two downstairs bedrooms, both with king beds, have private bathrooms, and a third bathroom is located on the main floor. The main floor has an open floor plan - perfect for mingling while you cook or watch TV together. The upstairs loft has a queen sleeper sofa, a full/twin bunk bed, and a lovely ever-changing ocean bay view. Enjoy the wide deck for your family gatherings, or head up to the 3rd floor for a bit of quiet relaxation on the upstairs balcony. Soak away your troubles in the backyard hot tub, which is surrounded by trees. Located on the south side of Yachats, this home is nestled on Shell Street, just beside Yachats Ocean Road State Park and the Yachats Wayside, where the road makes a one-mile loop, exposing one of the most scenic viewpoints on the coast: the Yachats Bay and the Pacific Ocean. Walk along a trail that gently winds around the Yachats Bay, where the river meets the sea. Enjoy access to the beach, tide pools, blowholes, summer sunsets, stormy drama, and whale watching. Enjoy a spectacular night time view of Yachats! Sleeps up to 9 - 3 Bedrooms: 2 Kings, Bunk (twin & full), Queen Sofa Sleeper, 3 Baths Vehicles: Licensed for 3 (strictly enforced- No street parking allowed) Standard: 2 night minimum; Summer & Holidays: 3-4 night minimum. *Each home is individually owned. Amenities and furnishings are subject to change at any time. Please contact our office with any questions. Age Requirement: The primary registered guest must be at least 26 years of age. The majority of guests must be over 25, or children under adult supervision. This home does not allow cat guests or other non-human, non-canine visitors. Dogs are welcome at this home but must be registered in advance and paid prior to arrival. This home has a 3-dog maximum occupancy! Pet Guests: One time $35+tax fee per dog. Love the Yachats area, great to be able to walk to the beach and town. The house layout is a little weird, says it sleeps 9, but only 3 rooms and no extra linens for hide-a-bed. The house definitely could use some updates and more kitchen supplies but loved the hot tub and overall the house met our needs.

Nice property with a trail for beach access. Plenty of space for us all to spread out and had everything we needed. It is in a great location had a 2 min drive to town. Check in process was super easy and I loved having the iPad for all the other info that was provided.

Cute house, clean, comfortable beds & had what we needed for our stay. The location was good for us & the house was easy to find. Easy access to the beach, the area was quiet & very little traffic on the road in front of the house. (We did hear a logging truck or 2 on the highway, but very minimal) Overall had a good stay & enjoyed our time there, thank you.

We loved the hot tub, puzzles and proximity to the beach.
Could use some decent cookware, dish cloths and towels. I didn't know knives came so dull. We like to cook.

Everything was clean, beds were comfortable, and well stocked kitchen. My 17 year old loved staying in the attached finished garage. It was a super fun bachelor pad for him. We all enjoyed going to the river and seeing seals, crabs, and seagulls. It was in great proximity to some fun adventures.

We LOVED this place. Less than a 5 min walk to the ocean / beach. ( make sure to check tide times! ) We loved having this home as our home base. We went hiking, sightseeing, and beach exploring.
Be sure to check out the aquarium in Newport (discounts avail if you are a AAA member).
My husband fished in the river nearby where it feeds into the ocean. We saw the best sunsets every night. It was so fun to walk the beach, and climb rocks. We love to hike and went to Cape Perpetua, did Amanda's trail, Ya Xaik Trail (which looks like it's in a neighborhood, but was pretty with lots of ferns/flowers) Hobbit Trail, Heceta Head Lighthouse, Devils Churn, Thors Well, Yachats 804 Trail. Seal Rock has great tidepools to explore at Low Tide.
Nice to have a washer and dryer to use also.
I appreciated the keypad entry so we didn't have to fumble for keys. The girls also walked to the beach and could come back when they wanted without us having to worry about who has a key. The neighborhood felt safe.
Just an FYI for whoever sleeps in the loft... it is open to ( and you can hear the rest of the house). Not a big deal but our oldest wanted the loft to herself, but then complained that we were too loud and she couldn't sleep in :)

Lovely location, close to town & the best beach for exploring

Not really any ocean view. The dryer leaves your clothes smelling and takes 3 times running it to kind of dry them. Nice big rooms. There was blood? On the walls and a lot of the dishes were very dirty that were on the shelves. Dog hair and smells. On the furniture. Ok stay. Nice big hot tub. Lots of towels that’s nice.

The previous renters put dishes away in the cabinet there were still dirty and unwashed. 2. The kitchen floor was not very clean and looked like it hasn't been moped for a while. 3. Getting to the hot tub and back into the house again is a bit of a mess because of the low spot outside of the back door and the collected rainwater and mud. The beds were comfy and an overall a decent place to stay.

Nice property within walk of the sea
This house could fit multiple people easily and was in a good location for day trips to either Newport or Florence. We did not have a view of the ocean from the house but it was very easy to walk to a set of steps down to the beach. I enjoyed walking along the nearby 804 trail as well. My kids enjoyed the upstairs bunk bed and liked eating breakfast at the kitchen bar. My seven year old nicknamed this property "The Luxury House" and wants to come back again.

Perfect place to stay with a big family.
We wanted to share the magic of Yachats with our children. They range in age from 13-22. There was enough room for everyone. Super convenient location. We all had a fantastic week. Neighbors were pleasant.

We felt the home and property was spacious, it was reasonably close access to beach (persons with limited mobility might be challenged). The town has close neighbors with other shopping, fishing, crabbing options too. Overall we enjoyed our stay, this just had some interesting elements.

Summer Vacation
The location was close to the ocean, a little bit of a walk on the 101 to town, close to the Oregon Coast Trail, very breezy, open second floor for gathering around the table. The kitchen was a little small since we cooked a lot of evening meals.
The location of Yachats to others points of interest was great. We drove to Florence and the dunes (25 or so miles). We drove to Newport (25 or so miles). Many stops inbetween to hike and observe nature and the history.

Great location and spacious
5 of us had plenty of room in this spacious home. A bit rough around the edges: some mold in showers, bathroom baseboards deteriorating and the garbage can in the kitchen was broken.
Overall a pleasant experience and we would stay there again.
Management was responsive to our request for soap in the showers.

Great beach house for families
We stayed here with three couples and three babies under 1. The hot tub was nice, and we loved taking strolls to the beach when the weather cleared. We managed to make a decent Thanksgiving feast as well! My only complaint was that the kitchen could've been a little better stocked with kitchen implements, mixing bowls, etc but was decent for a vacation rental. Nice and spacious, but be aware that sound easily carries to the upstairs loft bedroom and back down to the common areas.

The house is very nice in a quiet neighborhood that is close to the beach.
Overall, we were very pleased with our stay at this house. The distance to the beach was literally 2 minutes and the hot tub was very relaxing. The noise from 101 was not really noticeable. The only thing that doesn't make this a 5 star review was the furniture. The chair and reclining love seat were very uncomfortable and need to be replaced. The beds were ok but also felt broken down and in need of replacing. Other than that it was a charming house and a nice mini vacation for us.

Really loved the location!!
The front door opens to a really nice large foyer that leads to the laundry room and two separate queen size bed rooms with their own bathrooms. Through the right hand bedroom there is a door that opens to a hallway that leads the garage and the backyard where there is a fabulous roof covered hot tub. Then up the stairs to the main level is a really nice kitchen, large dining table, living room tv. A deck with a nice outdoor grill. The one couch was comfy but the recliner and other loveseat were not too comfy, you could feel the springs poking you. The peek a boo view from the living room was awesome! There’s another floor above that with a bunk bed and windows we didn’t need that area but would be great if you had kiddos with you! We will definitely look into renting this place again if we get the chance. The smell in the bedrooms downstairs was musty, the kitchen could’ve had nicer pots and pans, and maybe some more spices in the cupboard, but other than that the place was great!!
