Your senses will come alive as you take in the details of this gorgeous home, from the handcrafted front door to the aesthetic tile work. This 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is the perfect retreat for your Oregon coast getaway! Located in one of the best neighborhoods in Yachats, Oregon, the Big Wave Lodge offers you spectacular views of the waves breaking onto the tidepools right out your windows! From whales, sea lions and sea birds to fishing vessels and storm watching, the action is sure to please year round. A short walk down one of the most scenic streets on the central coast will lead you to a set of steps to the sand in Yachats Bay. At high tide, you will walk right past a blow hole and the bay will be filled with water and sea life. At low tide, the bay turns into a wonderful cove-like sandy beach. You are also walking distance to the town of Yachats where you will find fabulous dining, fresh seafood, and wonderful shops to explore. The grand family room has a 75" flat screen TV and a large, inviting sofa. Grab a book or a pair of binoculars and claim your spot in front of the sunny picture windows! The custom kitchen is well appointed with everything you might need during your visit. Downstairs are 2 bedrooms and a shared full bath. There are another 2 bedrooms upstairs which share a spectacular custom bath-suite. There is a deep, freestanding bathtub with ocean views, double sinks and a most spectacular shower with double shower heads and incredible mosaic tile artwork. You will feel like you stepped in to the most luxurious European spa! Just a short drive south you will find Cape Perpetua Scenic Area for hiking, whale watching, and the highest viewpoint accessible by car on the Oregon Coast, Heceta Head Lighthouse, and many beach turnouts to be able to explore the coastline. Sleeps up to 8 - 4 Bedrooms, 2 Kings, 2 Queens, 2 Bath. Vehicles: Licensed for 4 (Strictly enforced- No street parking allowed) Winter: 2 night minimum Standard & Holidays: 3-4 night minimum. Age Requirement: The primary registered guest must be at least 26 years of age. The majority of guests must be over 25, or children under adult supervision. *Each home is individually owned. Amenities and furnishings are subject to change at any time. Please contact our office with any questions. This home does not allow cat guests or other non-human, non-canine visitors. We absolutely loved staying at this property! The master bed was so comfortable and the upstairs bathroom suite was one of my favorite features of the house. We used the hot tub, grill and enjoyed the stunning views from the living room, master bedroom and upstairs bathroom suite! The only thing I would want to change is the ability to lower the hot tub temp so it is more kid friendly. And somehow there were other guests in the house when we arrived because they were confused and though it was their rental. However management was always very responsive regarding any concerns and needs.

The perfect base for the World Championships!
We had a great time and Dan was super helpful and friendly. Loads of space, great living accommodation and a brilliant location for Haywards Field. And Raphi the dog is gorgeous!!!

Beautiful property. Is due for some upgrading to appliances, downstairs bathroom needs an upgrade. The wood floors need redone. Could use some area rugs to warm the place up. While trying appealing to everyone the place has gone a bit cold I think. The patio door was broken by the previous renters and they did let me know about it before arriving which was nice. While it did not ruin our trip it did impact our trip because we had to go through a bedroom to go out on the deck for the hot tub. There was no deck furniture to sit on to enjoy the outdoors. The hot tub is wonderful! Very clean and good jets for massages after a long day of hiking. Compared to the other houses in the neighborhood this house looked the most run down from the outside. The grass was not mowed and it was the week of the 4th of July so the kids could not play in the front or backyard. While the house had everything we needed and we were comfortable the house is in need of a very good deep cleaning. First impression is everything is clean but as the week went on we noticed things that were not clean. The upstairs shower is beautiful but there is some mold growing up towards the ceiling. Lots of dust. It was a bit pricey for having things in disrepair and not clean.

Oregon Dream Vacation
We had such a wonderful time at this property in Yachats, Oregon (literally right across the street from the ocean and....at low tide...the tidepools)! It was the perfect size for our family of 8 (including teens and children)! It was very clean, it has a large, nice hot tub, a large gas grill to cook on, all of the kitchen utensils, plates, pans etc, to have a great time cooking there, a huge washer and dryer and I LOVED the upstairs bathtub and double shower room! So cool!
We would highly recommend the Cape Perpetua Park in the Siuslaw National Forest (only 2 miles South) for some beautiful forest and ocean hiking! AND LeRoy's Blue Whale Restaurant! It was SO good!!! This was our Oregon Dream Vacation, and we would LOVE to come again!

Our group loved this house but we like character and history. In an older home you expect to find somethings that aren't working - light switches, jacuzzi tub fixtures, leaky roofs, etc... but all in all to us it's part of the experience and not something that would ruin our trip.

The hot tub was wonderful..I believe the filter needs to be replaced and the upstairs shower drain and bathtub drain weren’t working well. Otherwise it was awesome:-).

Very Relaxing & Gorgeous Views
We wish we would've booked for longer...it was so relaxing and peaceful...I highly recommend this place! The neighborhood is quiet; there were people walking dogs and hardly any cars. We watched the sunset and stargazed from the hot tub and bath! There were thoughtful touches throughout the house. The shower, bath, and beds were all fantastic! There was laundry detergent for the large Washer/Dryer (no dryer sheets/fabric softener) and plenty of towels. Kitchen had everything we needed (e.g. meat thermometer, coffee bean grinder, etc.). There were Pacific Ocean views from almost every room in the house which was lovely. Check-in was easy and the house was conveniently located to the city and nature.
The only things that didn't meet our expectations were: 1) the backdoor was very challenging to open (the kids couldn't open it), which got a little annoying since we were using the back door to let the dog out, 2) the grill didn't light with the lighter knobs, but after 3 calls to the property management, we were eventually able to get it to light with a long lighter (which was provided in the house - bonus), 3) the slider from the bedroom to the hot tub doesn't lock, and 4) the stunning stovetop was missing two burner knobs.

We stayed three nights at the Big Wave Lodge for a birthday celebration. The eclectic decor and design details throughout the house were an immediate delight to our group. It was very comfortable and stylish with no outdated or cliche vibes. We were all so grateful for the lack of fisherman’s nets and musty smells, haha!
Very tastefully done and well maintained.
The beds were comfortable with good pillows and adequate warm cozy blankets.
And the upstairs shower….. amazing!
We all enjoyed a relaxing and comfortable visit.
I’d say we appreciated the well stocked kitchen and large dining table more than anything over the course of our stay. It certainly got put to good use!! The games did too. Great selection.
One thing we would have appreciated is a designated recycling area. We made due of course but there is so much storage in this house that it just seems like it should be hiding right behind a cupboard door somewhere.
Also, pictures don’t show how the hot tub pretty much overlooks the neighbors living room. As a group of six women, we felt a ripple of concern when we slipped into the tub and our neighbor glanced up from reading his book and gave a nod. We spoke with him the next morning and he seemed friendly and kind. Still, some type of visual barrier would be appreciated by all parties, I’m sure.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this house. Great view, great location, well appointed.

Overall terrific place just south of town across the river. Excellent condition and nicely appointed, with spectacular ocean and tide pool views, and plenty of space for 6. Walking distance to tide pools, sandy beach, and to town across the bridge. All routine cooking utensils, pots, pans etc available if you are so inclined to cook.
Yachats is a beautiful, quaint, artsy town with interesting stores and restaurants, though many are open only on weekends during the off season. It's one of my favorite Oregon coastal towns. We ate Thanksgiving dinner at the Adobe Resort restaurant, which was good, with spectacular ocean views, though the decor is a bit tired, and desserts were uninspired.
A few minor issues: Verizon cell phone service is nonexistent (we communicated via text and email since the Wifi worked well), the kitchen faucet was loose, the living room couch smelled of urine (prior dog?), there was only 1 small trash can on the 2nd floor (in the toilet closet; could have used one in each bedroom and the bath area by the sink). Use of the television remotes was a bit confusing; could have used a brief instruction guide. The front door was reached via a steep stair case; a challenge for the old folks in our group with bad knees.
All considered though, we loved this place, highly recommend it, and will definitely return.

Yachats Thanksgiving 2021
Overall terrific place just south of town across the river. Excellent condition and nicely appointed, with spectacular ocean and tide pool views, and plenty of space for 6. Yachats Family Comfort
Big Ocean Lodge is a wonderful home. Plenty of room for up to 8. Well stocked kitchen. Large table. Great TV and comfortable living area. The home is close to town and right across the street from the Pacific. Great views of the crashing waves from the kitchen,, living room and top bedrooms. The only downside to our stay was that the hot tub was out of commission and the gas fireplace isn’t available for use. Highly recommend.

Outstanding views & comfortable home
We wanted a little get away and this was a relaxing and great reset for us. We took full advantage of the tub in the upstairs bathroom and the quick walk across the street for some ocean mist. With the flexibility of working remotely, this was a great setup. Wifi allowed me to take multiple video calls for productive meetings. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We had an epic time at Big Wave Lodge. The house was beautifull and the location was perfect. Walking distance to downtown Yahacts as well as a nice beach and amazing tide pools.

The bad - The house could use a really good deep cleaning. The rug in the living room was full of hair and dust bunnies, and there was more under the couch. Not a good situation when you have a crawling baby. Most windows had blinds, but the skylights and upper windows in one bedroom did not. All windows should have blackout curtains for sleeping. The rubber seal on the upstairs shower door was broken causing a pool of water to form outside the shower anytime it was used.
Overall, I would recommend this rental, but I hope the property manager takes my recommendations to make this place perfect!
