Comfortable in all seasons, and just 15 minutes outside of Hayward, this cabin with its updated kitchen, bath and flooring, this spacious home provides plenty to do both inside and out. With three bedrooms and sleeping loft, two family rooms, wood burning fireplaces, fully equipped kitchen, spacious yard, fire pit, and dock space for your own boat, you're bound to have a hard time leaving at the end of your stay! The warm weather months tempt you to watch the bald eagles soar and hear the loons call while sitting on your private south facing dock enjoying the unique beauty of the North Woods! Two full bathrooms and three bedrooms, in addition to a loft will accommodate a total of 10 comfortably! During the spring and summer months there are many outdoor activities to enjoy including the use of our two kayaks and canoe, fishing, biking, hiking, etc. There are also several nearby sandy swimming beaches just up the lake a bit. The winter months hold special appeal at this "Up North" retreat. Cross-Country Skiing, Snowmobiling, Ice Fishing, Snow Shoeing or daily hiking can fill your desire for exercise, however don't be surprised if you'll find just as much pleasure enjoying the ambiance of retreating in front of the two wood burning fireplaces with a good book and glass of wine! The property was great, all that we expected and more. Our family enjoyed the kayak. The dock accommodated a boat and a rented pontoon. Found a few sandy spots on the lake for the grandchildren to play & swim. Enjoyed many evenings around the fire.

Beautiful spot on Lake Nelson. Cabin is very nice. Only concern might be limited wifi access and no television access. There is a large library of DVD 's available and a good number of books.

The cabin was perfect for our short family vacation. Very spacious and comfy for our family of 5 with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen had everything we needed which was greatly appreciated. Such a beautiful location!! We loved that Hayward and Cable were so close, with lots of biking options.

We enjoyed out stay at his cozy cabin. We loved the big windows and the views of the lake. Plenty of space to relax and play games and watch movies. Everything was perfect! Would come back.

This property was very spacious and clean. Great view of lake. There are pontoons available to rent right on the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our week with our adult children and everyone wants to do it again!!

Our stay at the Eagles Nest exceeded our expectations! We celebrated 3 birthday’s and an anniversary, fished, boated and jet skied. The cabin and accommodations were perfect and we can’t wait for our next trip. Thank you to the Young family for sharing their cabin!

This was by far one of our favorite winter cabin experiences we have ever done! The cabin was perfect for cozying in and had everything we needed! We loved the layout with the extra bedroom/bathroom/living space which would perfect if we wanted to bring kids! We would love to come back and enjoy a summer here- nice outdoor area right on the lake! Bonnie was very accommodating to our needs and a wonderful host! We will for sure be back!!

This place was a perfect spot for a fall getaway with our family and friends! It was in a great location and had much to offer with a great fishing dock, beautiful views, perfect location to trails and town. The home was cozy and comfortable with two fireplaces and plenty of spaces to lounge and be with family. I would definitely recommend it as a great stay!

Really nice property. We stayed for Chequamegon mountain bike race. Perfect for a group of friends or family. Lake is absolutely beautiful in the morning. Would stay again!

This cabin was a good place for our family to spend our family vacation. View was very pretty. Shallow entry to water. On a quiet part of the lake so not too much boat traffic. Owners were very easy to contact and replied right away!

We had a wonderful family vacation for 6 days at the cabin. The cabin was very nice and homey and we had a great time. We rented a pontoon boat and kept it at the dock, so we had easy boating access. Bonnie communicated very well. Great stuff!

Perfect vacation for relaxing, kayaking, and visiting the quaint town of Hayward. Loved that there were two kayaks on property for us to use. Two downfalls were poor cell service (AT&T) and no air conditioner. But who would have expected mid 90's in early June?!

We just happened to hit hot weather and with no air conditioning it was a little rough-we did get to cool down by bedtime with window fans but overall it was a fun experience

Great place to stay!! Was right on the snowmobile trail, beautiful lake and views. Perfect balance of being far enough out for peaceful isolation yet close enough for necessary in-town amenities.

Cabin was clean, cute and a perfect get away to enjoy Wisconsin winter in the northwoods. Had a great time hanging around at the cabin and getting out on Nelson Lake to ice fish.

A group of 5 of us booked Bonnie's place for a fall getaway and a change of scenery due to all of the limitations COVID has brought to us and cancelled travel plans. We booked last minute but would have easily selected Eagle's Nest had we planned months out; it was everything we were hoping for. Plenty of space, amazing views, good amenities, fall colors, and yes, even a few eagle sightings. The listing and photos are accurate and communication with Bonnie was exceptional. She answered all of my questions timely and reached out to let us know of a few things that wouldn't be available due to repairs and COVID. None of which changed our experience or were an inconvenience. So happy to have booked here. Thank you so much!

We had a very relaxing time. Bonnie was super responsive with any questions I had. Place had everything you need from movies to games. No wifi which turned out good for us. The view is super cute. Because of the weather we couldn’t use the fire pit which was a bummer for us but the setting for the fire pit was perfect . There are other properties on both sides of the cabin and pretty close to each other and maybe the tv room could use some blinds but other than that it was just perfect for my family of 8.
