House is so well equipped with every behind needed to enjoy time at the lake. The deck is awesome. Plenty of parking for vehicles and room for two boats. Will definitely come back to this property. Communication is immediate and they are so easy to work with.

We always love coming back to this house. Each time we come the house we feel like home. Our girls love the house and ask to stay here.

We had another great stay. We have been here a few times and came away impressed with the care to small details and the upgrades that have continued. We have now stayed in quite a few vacation rentals and this is probably the most fully equipped we’ve seen. The canal is pretty gooped up so we opted to not use the dock but parking was good with the trailer.

Our fist time to Clearlake Oaks and the property is located in a convenient location to restaurants and stores. The house is very clean; the owner provides us with everything we needed for our stay. The only thing is that we saw ants in one of the bedrooms near the garage. We still give 5 stars for cleanliness because the ants come inside due to hot and dry weather (we have the same issue in L.A. too). Overall, we are very happy and satisfied with our stay.

Lisa’s property was perfect for our holiday weekend, lovely house in a great location, stocked with all the amenities you could need and more. Lisa was very responsive as well!

Great Property!!

I've stayed at many rentals and this was definitely the best stocked house EVER! Games, blankets, baking pans, chairs, everything. My family had a lovely holiday weekend, we were so cozy! And the deck on the canal is so lovely for star gazing and sun bathing. Our dogs were happy and the beach at Clearlake is an 8 minute drive away with a boat launch. We loved our time here. Thanks for everything!

The location is amazing, and the beach volleyball court and dock are perfect for the kids! But the house itself is not ideal for a weekend or longer stay. Some rooms were freezing without heat, the oven/stove did not work and it was Thanksgiving :-( !!! Towel hangers in the bathrooms fell off the wall upon placing towel back on rack. Fuses shut down so that a major portion of the kitchen didn’t work at all. This house needs some help hopefully prior to the next family staying there.

Nice drive from Sac to Clearlake. House was cozy. Lots of kitchen supplies. For the area did not have to worry about bugs getting inside. Bedrooms had TVs. Lots of linen and towels to use. Adequate kitchen space. Very nice fridge. Price should have been less since the view was off. No water in canal to fish.

From the house to the owners to the lake my family and I had one of our best vacations ever. Pete and Lisa were wonderful!! I would recommend this property, neighborhood, and these nice folks to anyone!

The house worked out nicely and we had a great stay. The only setback was we were unable to use the boat slip as we had planned due to the low-water and lake weeds. Also the ramp down to the dock was slippery and very steep. Thanks goodness the boat launch was close by. overall we enjoyed the house and had a great time.

Easy check in, all amenities provided, and very comfortable accommodations. They included extra towels, blankets, pillows and multiple luggage racks.

We loved property, it was nice and relaxing and had everything we needed ... We caught a bunch of fish and went back to the house and cleaned them ~ The house was absolutely perfect and Lisa and her husband were so great to us and made us feel very welcome. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to go and relax and have a good time ... Thank u for a great place to stay, we will go back for sure ~

The property was great and it exceeded our expectations. The communication with the owner was superb. It is located really close to the entrance to Clear Lake, which made it perfect for our kayaks. I must say that I was extremely happy with everything, and felt very comfortable in the home.

We were able to gather the old gang from high school and spend the weekend visiting, reminiscing and catching-up. It was the first time we were all together in 29 years!

The house has a wonderful kitchen big open living room and stock with many essentials. Work perfect for our family . Look forward to coming back for years to come

House was great, loved the size of the patio, slept six well, docks were good for two boats to stay overnight!

I spent a couple of nights with a group of 18 year old boys eager to fish hard. The house was great, clean well appointed and everything worked. It felt bigger than 950 square feet. The deck overlooking the water was clean for the most part but the ashtrays could have been picked up and stashed away prior to arriving. The water level was very low, making navigating the ramp down to the dock difficult but doable. Not much the property owners can do about that. I will definitely look to return once the water levels come up. Great access point to fish the rattlesnake island arm of the lake and throughout the keys themselves. The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant.

We had a wonderful stay here. Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms. The owner was so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back :)

Beware, this Vacation Rental owner gives the industry a bad name. We rented for all of March. We left town for a week and advised Lisa the house would be empty as a courtesy. We returned to find that someone had been staying in the house. She admitted her neighbour/property manager had been in to do laundry and take a shower. But it was clear some one had been staying in the house. When we emailed Lisa, she never even replied back to our last email. We had to revert to contacting the police. The Exterior The paddle boat on her listing, was flooded, full of weeds and inaccessible. (turns out she doesn’t even own it anymore) The BBQ, no propane. At first she refused to pay to fill it up, but later changed her mind. The BBQ was in such a state of disrepair that it was dangerous. Her excuse, she isn’t on site and doesn’t maintain these items. Then we find out she was there just before we arrived! I would be embarrassed to leave my place in this condition, let alone rent it out! One dock was full of dead seaweed that had been there so long, weeds were growing out of the pile. I wish I could post photos. The front yard was overgrown with weeds. Sad thing, this house really matched the area. The Interior There were no kitchen chairs for us to sit on. She had a different (used) kitchen table, but only two bar stools that were too high. Her neighbour/property manager found some, but Lisa wouldn’t let her buy them. But she sure was willing to take our money. Some sheets were so nubby I couldn’t sleep on them. The pillows were so stained, I bought new ones. Towels were stained and ratty…. Most furniture was old and well used. Her gourmet kitchen cupboards, pieced together from an old kitchen. I was itchy while staying there, I at first I thought it was adjusting to a new climate, but as soon as we left, the itching went away. The futon couch smelled of dog, even after washing the cover and throws. There was a display of fishing rods that hadn’t been dusted in a LONG, LONG time. I think you get the picture by now. It makes you wonder when you see other five star reviews, then arrive to this! I wasn’t expecting anything really fancy, but I certainly expected items to be in a safe working condition, sanitary bedding and the simple basics like a kitchen table to sit at and most importantly to have my right to privacy respected!!!!

During the month we stayed at the Cottage on the Water, we found it to be a very comfortable and cozy home away from home. The place is in an extremely quiet area with helpful and friendly neighbors. Very beautiful views off the deck. Outstanding boat dock and lift with quick and easy access to the main lake. Exceptionally prompt response from Lisa with any questions we had during our stay. The place was a quiet and peaceful slice of heaven and we are looking forward to coming back!

This was a great getaway for us. The home was up to date, very well maintained and very cozy. The neighbors were friendly. The deck was great. We will defiantly re-book in the spring and bring up our other family members. Lisa was great to work with and booking was quick and all questions were answered, we felt great comfort staying here and working with Lisa.

The house is very well kept, comfortable and well located. My family and I had a great time there. Lisa is kind and cleared all of our doubts. The kitchen had everything we needed and the appliances worked perfectly. I have absolutely no complaints and would definetely stay there again if I went back to the Lake County.

The home inside was very nice inside. Everything you need in the kitchen is there. All you need to bring is your food. Washer and dryer also available. Comfortable beds. Need to bring blankets if it gets chilly. There were none to be found. The dock was perfect for our boat with a covered slip. There was a lift for the boat but didn't us it. Patio was great with a nice view. Neighbors friendly and look out for each other which gave us a feeling of a safe and secure neighborhood. Plenty of parking for trailer and vehicles. Easy access to the lake by boat. Would enjoy another vacation at this property.
