Great B&B in the old city, lots of character in the 15th C house. Our host Trudi welcomed us and gave us a tour of the house on arrival and was always available during our stay. Conversation with other guests and Trudi over a generous (fresh) continental breakfast was only interrupted by the appearance of the Red Kite coming for his breakfast! Plenty of room in our 'apartment' room - bedroom, shower room and 'kitchen' area - and all clean and comfortable. The garden and sitting room were also available but we were out sightseeing all day (and night) so didn't use them. Trams and trains a short walk away (although we walked mostly to get the feel of the old city) so we got to see everything we wanted to in the picturesque old city and further afield.

Nothing to dislike, but be aware that it's in a beautiful old part of the city with some steep cobbled streets (a joy to walk) in a pedestrian area.

We stayed for two nights in this bed and breakfast, which is part of a private residence. A welcoming host. Breakfast provided was good. The studio accommodation is completely separate on the ground floor, providing privacy. The property itself is around 600 years old, full of character and history, although some of the older doors can be a little difficult to open. Outdoor shoes to be removed at the entrance, a small bench or seat near the door would have made this easier. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the kitchenette equipped included crockery and utensils, some items could have benefitted with a check before guests arrive. The fridge was adequate for a short stay. The room contained some personal bookcases and equipment which seemed unnecessary for guest accommodation and made the space feel cluttered. Suitcase stands or dressing table and a couple of comfortable chairs would have been useful instead. We were also advised not to use the cooking facilities because of ventilation limitations. We were asked not to eat meals in the studio, so we chose to eat a takeaway salad in the garden. The outdoor table and chairs could perhaps benefit from some seasonal preparation before use, making the garden area inviting for guests. The location was suitable for us; we arrived by train and walked there with small suitcases. All our city sightseeing was within walking distance.

As mentioned, some areas of the studio and kitchenette could have been cleaner. The room felt somewhat cluttered with personal items, and additional seating and luggage stands would have improved comfort. Guests asked not to cook and eat meals in the studio. Garden seating area could have benefited from seasonal preparation for use.

A terrific location in the old town. Everything is walkable. Plenty of restaurants; bars and cafes nearby. Excellent tram system makes getting around simple. Our room was comfortable with a full kitchenette. Trudi and Hans Pedre made us very welcome. The breakfast is fantastic in such a lovely setting. The garden is a terrific oasis to relax in. We highly recommend staying!!

It was convenient to down town. Had a nice bathroom and was quiet.

Was supposed to have a laundry and Trudy said no, but would do a load for $65 dollars!! The stove didn’t work and there was very little utensils and it was never fixed. No chairs in the apartment, no place to put clothes. Charge a $75 dollar cleaning deposit, but wanted very thing clean like we found it, no dirty dishes allowed. Had extra rules never stated in the original post.
