The beds are very comfortable and you get good privacy with the curtain. There’s also little ahelf and some hooks to store some things by the bed. I like the possibility to sit outside on the terrace. Krusty also offers a lot of day trips and longer treks for good prices.
There’s only 1 shower and toilet for two dorms of 12 people capacity. There are no hooks or shelves in the bathroom which seems like the most basic thing. Every time we ran out of toilet paper we had to go ask at the reception ourselves. They were also renovating something in the building and there was drilling all day long dor a long period of time.

The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the central plaza, and the hostel is run by a wonderful family who are genuinely attentive, caring and always happy to help.
I did the Huayhuash trek through their agency and it was an incredible experience, as well as several day tours to some amazing places around Huaraz. They can help you organise everything and there is safe, free storage for your backpack while you’re away trekking.
Breakfast is freshly prepared every morning and is a great way to start the day. The hostel is clean and has both indoor and outdoor areas where you can relax, which makes it a really comfortable place to come back to after spending time in the mountains.
What stood out most to me, though, was the warmth of the family who run it. They really care about their guests and create a welcoming atmosphere that makes the hostel feel like much more than simply somewhere to sleep. I spent a significant amount of time here during my stay in Huaraz and left with very fond memories of both the hostel and the people who run it. Thank you for everything.

The receptionist was beyond welcoming and always trying to help us with anything, such as additional hiking gear. The rooms are very simple, but they do the job.
We unfortunately had a case where the brand new hiking shoes of my friend went missing and have probably been stolen by someone. We felt like we haven't gotten so much support in this case unfortunately.
