Here, you can meet Peg Leg and his mates where you can play for hours in a renovated warehouse full of fun, treasure hunts and tropical island madness! - art-nouveau neighboorhood Cogels-Osylei - Zurenborg, a neighboorhood with lots of restaurants, bars and playgrounds - central park, to relax, go jogging, take a picnic, playground - shopping area Meir - going out: Antwerp’s Zuid (South) District is the alpha and omega of the night. Arriving to the dusky sounds of Jazz, you can sway to the rhythms of the sax throughout the night. The Zuid is home to Jazz. Hot, funky, seductive and moody. Café Local or Petrol. Everything is within walking distance so try them all. Dance the night away in your style! If you go to a concert in the 'sportpaleis' there's a direct tramline at 50m. A great flat - once we worked out all the electronics! Oldies like us like instructions rather than trial and error. But Pascal soon came round to show us the ropes - and was able to explain over the phone eg how to operate the kitchen tap. A good supermarket is very close. As are the stops for the very easy tram and bus service. But please note the flat is in the low emission zone. So you need to register online any car without a Belgian or Dutch numberplate, and you may have to pay a fee if you are polluting. The free carpark gets VERY full but Pascal can offer an alternative if necessary. The town museums are wonderful and the annual Belgian museum pass great value at €50. Don't accept the frequent statements that it's not valid for people who live outside Belgium. It IS. You can buy it at any museum, but need to register it online, with a photo.

Nice and clean appartment with everything you need PLUS it is absolutely special in the way the rooms are situated and decorated. We really enjoyed linving in it for a couple of days. It has two bathrooms (both with toilet and shower; one has an additional bathtub). One has a direct connection to one of the bedrooms. We stayed with 4 adults and three children (between age 5 and 10) and ervybody liked the appartment. City center is in walking distance (e.g. Sint Anna Tunnel can be reached in 20 min). Super Market and Tram Line 4 are very close (2 min walk). There is a playground for children only a 5 minute walk away. Next to the playground there is a very big public parking, where you can park your car for free during your stay. Communication with host was friendly and uncompicated.
