About this house rental
Situated in Topsail Beach, this charming house for $429 per night is a great option for your next break. Some people have called this 'your grandma's cottage'. It is the classic H-plan with four bedrooms (2 oceanfront) and 2 full baths all on one level. The ocean side deck is a screened in porch with four tall adirondack chairs and a table, as well as two rocking chairs. There is a lower deck that has an outside shower for rinsing off after your beach time or for enjoying the sunshine. The two oceanfront rooms have king beds and the two back bedrooms each have two full beds. Three of the four bedrooms have small flat-screen tvs with high definition antennas (no cable tv in the bedrooms). Depending on how comfortable your travelers are at doubling up in the full beds, the home would sleep 8 -12 (2 each in the kings and 1 -2 each in the fulls) although I limit occupancy to 8. Be advised that there is no sleeper sofa and no rollaway or trundle in the home, nor do I stock cribs or playpens for babies. The living room has comfy slipcovered furniture and there is a flat screen TV as well, with HD cable, a blu ray player and a tv sound bar which has Bluetooth and can double as a music speaker. We have strong WiFi for all of your internet needs. The kitchen is equipped with the normal conveniences in addition to a VitaMix blender, a regular coffee maker, a Cuisinart toaster and a microwave. On the ground floor of the home is a laundry room that also has a full hot and cold water enclosed shower, a third toilet and a utility sink. I have this listed as a third bathroom on VRBO but it's really more of a last resort bathroom since it's on the ground floor. Please note that between Memorial Day and Labor Day this is a 7 day, Saturday-to-Saturday only rental. Check in is typically 5pm Saturday with check out the following Saturday morning at 10 am. In March, April, May, September and October I may consider renting for periods less than or more than a week based on availability, or allowing early check in or late check out. In addition to providing a competitive price I also try to stock some things that most rentals don't - namely toilet paper, bath soap, trash bags, dishwashing gel, and laundry detergent. I do my best to keep stock of these on hand all year but in the deep summer months availability may be limited or completely depleted so I cannot promise the house will be fully stocked with the previously mentioned items. But what's there you can use. Under the cottage is a large assortment of kids beach toys (buckets, shovels, sandcastle molds, etc) for your little ones to use, and the occasional boogie board. I do not provide linens or towels, or any beach items like chairs or umbrellas. Linens may be rented from any one of several local companies. Beginning August 2021 I am limiting pets to repeat renters only, so although new renters may not bring a pet, be advised that the home is not technically pet free, so if you have pet allergies please be aware of this. I have a local cleaning crew and handyman on the island, so you don't need to worry about anything if something comes up regarding a repair or cleaning issue. My response time, and theirs, if faster than any realty agency on the island. There are three grocery stores within a 15 minute drive of the home (IGA on the island in Surf City, Food Lion on the mainland and Harris Teeter near Highway 17). I sincerely hope you enjoy your stay at our home - every time I leave I want to turn around and go right back!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this beachfront cottage in Topsail Beach. We loved the traditional and comfortable beach-cottage feel of the home. The house is well-stocked with kitchen essentials, games and beach toys. Having a laundry room was an added bonus! The location steps from the ocean can’t be beat and the view from the screened-in porch is amazing. The owner gave us some great tips about things to do and was always available to answer any questions that we had. Highly recommend!

The location couldn’t be beat. House has spacious bedrooms and so many touches. Night lights, stocked tool drawer, vitamix blender, radio in the kitchen, nice mattresses, toothbrush holder, cotton coverlets, plug strips in each bedroom, laundry baskets in each bedroom, the list goes on. I can’t wait to go back.

The best beach cottage!
I have been vacationing at topsail Island for over 10 years. This is the first time staying at this home. It is by far one of the best experiences I have had renting. The house was very clean, the kitchen contains everything you could possibly need. The owner is quick to respond if you have any questions. I especially loved the 3 different deck choices: screened in porch with rockers and chairs, open deck with chairs, then a lower large deck area at dune level with built in long benches. I found some beautiful shells on my morning walks. My dog loved this location. We spent our days on the large deck enjoying the view and sound of the ocean. The living room furniture is very comfortable, which resulted in more than one unplanned nap. ☺️ The beds were comfortable which made for a good night's sleep. I have already reserved for next year.

Outstanding Experience: A+
Our experience with this property exceeded all expectations. Our group was two 70ish yr olds, two 40ish yr olds, a 10 yr old, a 12 yr old, and a pug. We loved having a "wing" of the house for our family, and a "wing" for my parents. The beds/furniture were very comfortable, the view is unbeatable. We all kept talking about what a perfect fit the house is...not so formal and fussy that you feel stressed about keeping things perfect, but certainly not shabby where you don't feel like you're on vacation. The house was PERFECT. It was comfortable and welcoming, it was casual and beachy. Bryan went way above and beyond to have a great supply of cleaning items, paper towels/tp/hand soap, toys/boogie boards for the beach, extra blankets, luggage racks, games/entertainment, dishes/pans, etc. We lacked for nothing. The location is perfection. The screened-in porch is perfection. The entire experience was exactly what we were looking for. Bryan even had card tables available under the bed, so we brought some puzzles to do. This was an outstanding experience for our family, and our dog loved it, too (he spent all day lying on the screened porch, soaking in the breeze). We highly recommend this house and we thank Bryan for the outstanding property management skills. He was excellent to work with and the home was everything wonderful.

We loved it!
Beach is fabulous! Bedroom wings are separated with doors from the main area. This means that sleeping is quiet even if others stay up late or get up early. Baby took naps just fine during the day with all of us coming and going & gathered on the porch. Beds are super comfortable. This is not a new or fancy cottage but it is really comfortable. We will be back!

Tip-Sea Turtle Holiday
We returned to Tip-Sea Turtle recently for our fifth visit. Our family which includes five adults and two children all enjoyed the house, the beautiful location on Topsail Island, and the screened porch. The kitchen has ample equipment to cook whatever you enjoy. There is a convenient arrangement with two bedrooms on each side of central living, kitchen, and dining area.

Our Favorite Summer Vacation Location
This was our 4th visit to Top Sail and our four time staying at the Tip-Sea Turtle. We love everything about the island - laid back feel, great restaurants and amazing beach. The Tip-Sea Turtle has come to feel like “our” cottage. Clean, comfortable and perfect beach access. The kids play at the beach all day and the grown ups can enjoy an evening drink on the wonderful screened porch. Bryan, the owner, does a great job checking in and making sure you have everything you need to have a great stay. We have already reserved our week for next summer!

Best Place Ever!
We enjoyed our time at Topsail so much and the cottage was just perfect for my family. It was so nice and comfortable; we felt so at home there. Bryan was so easy to work with and accommodating. We will be back and in fact, already scheduled our next visit. We have found our perfect spot at the beach!

Away from the crowds!
This home sits away from public access, so it's just you and the neighbors on the beach. This makes it very easy to keep up with kids, so much better than crowded beaches. The home is older, but it was very clean and stocked with all the essentials. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to stay again.

BEST HOUSE ON TH BEACH!
The house was awesome; clean, well stocked, well furnished, excellent floor plan etc. The best feature is it is right on the beach with a great screened in porch as well as an open area. Mid way down the few steps are 2 benches with an outdoor shower. Pets are welcome and my dog enjoyed it as much as I did. Bryan was totally accessible but we had NO issues! Hope to return in the future.

Lovely Stay
Topsail has been an island getaway since 2010 and the Tip Sea Turtle was a perfect place to continue that tradition. The home was very clean and well appointed. We loved the spacious layout of the living room, bedrooms, porch and decking. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare home cooked meals during our stay. Working with Bryan was an absolute pleasure. He was quick to respond online and by text when we arrived. We would definitely recommend and would love to stay here in the future. Sweet house, great location
The Tip-Sea Turtle is a an older-style beach house with everything on one floor, which is nice. It’s well-maintained and well-stocked. Not fancy, but well-appointed, and with very comfortable beds. Cable tv and WiFi worked great.
This house is right on the beach, with a fantastic screened porch. There’s also a nice deck with a hose for rinsing off and perfect for cleaning fish. Steps to the beach are nice and wide, making them safer and easier to navigate.
The location is just a short drive to the town of Topsail Beach and the beautiful point down on the south end of the island. Wonderful place for a family vacation.
Overall, it’s a great house in a great place!
