Overall we had a very good experience, we enjoyed our stay in this lovely place.

The location were exceptional, very private, and very quite in general. The view was amazing to the ocean. We loved the terrace where we enjoyed the view to the ocean, and during night time the sky full with stars. We were having breakfast on the terrace every day, and we ended our day too gazing the stars. The cleanliness was exceptionally good, and this property is very well equipped. You can cook, barbecue, wash your clothes, iron, swim in the pool ... lots of possibilities.

The humidity was a challenge. We found a dehumidifier, but that didn't helped us much, as probably the walls had humidity in them too, so at night time we used the electric radiators to dry our linen and pillows before going to sleep. Wifi password was different, and had to ask the host, but that one have been resolved pretty quickly. Also there are Wifi repeaters, which are using a different network id with different password, but we managed without that too. (If you plan to use the Wifi from the sun terrace, that maybe you will need the password for the repeater too, but the host could probably help you with that too.)

Amazing house with a great view.

Great communication with the host. The apartment is excellent, clean, well equipped and beautiful. Amazing view. All rooms have separate bathrooms. Good amenities: nespresso machine, coffee machines, blender, toaster, iron, cleaning supplies, washing machine and dishwasher, hairdryer, etc.

The furnitures are antique, what I really love (smells amazing too!), however in one of the room with the two separate beds it is really noisy, as some parts are not matching perfectly anymore. Strange, that in another room the bathroom does not have any window, nor ventilation via a fan. Other than that everything was superb.

Exceptional

Exceptional quality for reasonable price. Huge house with all necessary amenities. Heated pool in winter was great for my kids. Highly recommended for anybody looking for a holiday close to nature but with comfort either .

Little too far to any supermarket but with rented car was acceptable

The view from the dinning room and pool area is magnificent. The owner is very attentive.

Humid and damp house. Combined with rain, it gets really cold. Due to the humidity, the toilets have an unpleasant smell.

Facilities are not new Bad smelling bathroom on the first floor - we could not use it :( A lot of Portuguese millipedes in the house - they look disgusting :(((

Beautiful house with an amazing view!

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Casa da Manta! The house is gorgeous and the host takes good care of the guests. The questions we had were resolved very quickly. The house has enough amenities (blender, toaster, coffee machine, electric pot, washing machine, dishwasher, iron, place to cook), the beds are super comfy, the terrace with the pool was simply amazing for spending the late afternoons and relax after the whole day of hiking. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom, which is also great. We could not get enough of the view on the sun setting over the ocean.

I wish we could stay longer. There is really nothing to complain about here. Thank you for everything! We had such a great time!

Exceptional

Breathtaking place. Unbelievable silence, peace and a perfect view of the ocean. No tourists anywhere, only locals. We used the pool every day. The kitchen is quite well equipped, even if we didn't cook. A bonus is a washing machine and comfortable beds. Weaker Wi-Fi, but the owner tried to fix it. Communication with the owner was very good. We enjoyed our vacation even considering our stay in this house. Definitely recommend if you're looking for peace and an unobstructed view of the ocean.

Beautiful house with magnificent views

The house is in a beautiful location with superb views along the cliffs to Ponta do Pargo and out to sea. The house was very clean and tidy on arrival and recently renovated and decorated to a high standard with tasteful antique style furnishings throughout. The kitchen was very well equipped and the BBQ area next to the pool (with running water) was a pleasure to cook at in the warm evenings. We were not very lucky with the weather so only used the pool for a couple of days but, like all the accommodation, it was clean and comfortable. The house is in a small village and so a car is necessary to get around but it is a good base for exploring the central and western parts of Madeira. The owner was always helpful and available to assist with questions.

The owner was always available to help so any minor issues were very quickly resolved.
