If you're looking for a condo with a view of the Gulf, sounds of the surf, and steps away from the beach, this place is perfect. Nice 2 bedroom, 2 bath was ideal for my family of 5. Heated pool was a hit with my 9-year old. Not too big, but not too small, the pool is 4' at one end and 6' at the other. Bring a life jacket or other small floatation device for young children (large inflatables not allowed). Laundry is convenient but requires quarters ($1.50 for wash plus $1.25 for dry). Both charcoal and gas grills are available near the canal for an easy cookout and grocery stores are within 15 minutes. Make a point to go out for dinner on Ocean Blvd up in Siesta Key. Many wonderful restaurants with outdoor seating and live music.
The best part by far is the beach. We spent hours enjoying the natural sights and sounds of the Gulf, including a dolphin sighting and lots of pelicans fishing. Also saw many water sports like paddle boarding, kayaking, and jet skiing. If you still need more to do, there are bike rentals and the Mote Aquarium to fill your time. Otherwise, just grab a book and spend your day outdoors. We will definitely come back to the Sarasota area and recommend this rental.
