Lovely stay

The room was so nice

The sink was way too small. Couldn't even wash hands without splashing all over.

Für mich der absolute Geheimtipp in London

Angenehm eingerichtete Zimmer zum Wohlfühlen, sauber und mit bequemem, gutem Bett. Sehr zuvorkommendes Personal; Pub im Haus ist familiär und lebhaft mit herzlichen Menschen aus der Nachbarschaft; hervorragendes indisches Essen!

All style and no substance

Location was great.

No hot water, this wasn't just our room but numerous rooms, we complained and was told someone would be along to fix it in 30mins, we didn't have 30mins as we had something booked and we had to leave without a shower. Hair in drinking glasses, toe nails in the room. Staff uninterested in our complaint about hot water. Very disappointed after reading other reviews.

I still don't have my invoice - so I can't be founded back...

manager not available for the check-out in the morning so I could not get my invoice. I was told that the invoice will be send by email but it wasn't. I have sent an email to get it but as of now it is still not the case.

Excellent service and location, good staff, easy accessibility.

The breakfast is plentiful, I missed the vegetables a little, but there was salad instead. The staff is very kind and the place is qiuet and comfortable.

Decent stay just a few things that could be changed to make its 10 for me

Good location , reasonable price and nicely decorated . Very clean room and bathroom and the restaurant served delicious food. Staff very attentive. Liked the fact there was air con but windows still opened (though I was on first floor so noisy weekend evenings ad it’s a pub)

Missing bedside lamps ! Bathroom sink extremely small with a shelf directly above made it very difficult to use -a bigger one would have fitted . Bathroom clean but smelt of cigarettes . Forgot to ask for invoice when checking out and prices a nightmare to get a standard invoice emailed over for my stay .

Great hotel! Would definitely visit again

Staff were very friendly! Nice and clean room.

Possibly that the entrance is through a bar. Works well when no customers but a big tricky to pass when it’s crowded

If you're visiting London, book this place.

Great place to stay while in central London. Room is not too big but enough for 2. Staff was warm and helpful and breakfast was superb. Definitely will stay here again. Also if you are staying here, a dinner at the restaurant below is a must.

Not much I didn't like and easy to overlook those things.

Exceptional

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Not far from the underground station. The interior of the pub, where I had breakfast is very nice and pleasant.

- you should have stronger WiFi signal in the room with better bandwidth - pretty loud music comes from pub between 8 and 11 pm, but it sounds as a very cheerful atmosphere - please add some eggs and vegetables for the breakfast

Amazing place to stay in London!

the rooms are modern, big, and super comfortable, everything seem to be new on the rooms and pretty clean. The staff is super nice, great hospitality, and the breakfast have plenty of options. the bus stop is just 2minutes away and the metro station is 6minutes walking

the only think that I will change is that the place doesn’t have a front desk.

Cozy place to stay

Room is cozy and clean, quite small, but suitable for a short stay. Seems newly renovated. Location is good, city center is easily reached with public transport (~30min). Breakfast standard, good coffee

Superb

Great location! 10-15 minute walking distance to Paddington / Baker Street / Saint John's Wood or Edward Road tube station (circle line will get you to the most tourist attractions). The room was nicely furnished, super comfy bed!

It was a little tricky to check-in and find the right entry way ( the building has 4 doors). The check-in was at the bar which was a little unusual and it seemed like the personnel was a little unsure (couldn't find the key, didn't know if our booking was prepaid...) The elevator had some problems during the day, not to mention it stops working later at night which makes it a little annoying if you've been walking a lot during the day.

A good value quirky gem in the heart of London

The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom. The access was independent from the pub which was nice but also they served me a curry and beer to my room when I came back tired which was lovely. Great service. Efficient and friendly without being over fussy.

No teaspoon, full length mirror or bedside light.

Nice place to stay in London

I liked the idea of living upstairs in the pub. Our room was clean, comfortable, quiet and warm, but not very spacious. Breakfast was ok, but I expected more choices and more vegetables / fresh fruits. We had two toasts with ham or/and cheese, and in addition to that, milk and flakes, yogurt, and pastries. Coffee could be better quality. Unfortunately, we had no time for dinner there. Transport connection is good, easy to get to/from the city center by bus or metro.

There are mostly kebab places and mid-eastern restaurants / shops in the area, not much choice for breakfast or dinner, or bars.

Unfriendly staff, noisy with poor consideration for guests

location good, clean smart room

The staff didn't realise I had paid via booking.com on arrival so wanted to check my receipts and questioned it despite then seeing the receipts. The lift was situated directly outside of my room with a notice stating it would not run after 11pm however it was still being used well after 12.00am - keeping me up. There were guests talking and shouting until 1am along the corridor and again at 5am I was awoken to people talking on phones outside of my door. load music was played and there was shouting and singing all morning. I left my room at 6:20am as I could no bear to be there.

Good for a short stay

It was clean and in the quiet area, so there was no noise in the night.

It was too hot in the room. Outside was not that cold and the heating was so high that the room was boiling.
