Bright, daylight filled, 5th floor apartment, located at Rua Garrett, one of the most important streets of historic Lisbon, has a privilege situation in the heart of the cultural and historical part of the city (Chiado). Very close to several museums, operas, theaters and churches. A few minutes walk takes you to the Rossio, in the Baixa, and to the Elevador da Lavra. The other direction, you will reach the Praça do Comércio, which is located in the center of the Portuguese old empire near the river Tejo (Tagus). To go to Sintra you must take the train at Rossio. To go to Óbidos you have Entre-Campos train station or Campo-Grande bus station, which is just a short subway trip from Chiado. Close to shops, restaurants, cafes, banks, cash machine, public transportations (train, subway and electric trams) and 24 hour taxi stands, etc. Accommodation comprises one bedroom with a queen size bed, a second room with 2 single beds, living room with dining and sitting areas, two full bathrooms and fully equipped kitchen. The apartment has air-conditioning and central heating in all the rooms. This privileged location offers easy access by foot to the subway (Chiado/Baixa station – 50 m). We stayed 5 nights in this apartment. The location was perfect. Close to shops, restaurants, transportation. Very clean, very safe. The view from the apartment was beautiful too.
Paulo was extremely easy to work with. Very responsive and helpful in answering questions. He arranged our pickup from the airport also which was convenient for us.
Lisbon is a beatiful city and this apartment was an excellent base to see it from. We also easily took day trips to Belem and Sintra from here.
Would not hesitate to stay here again.

wonderful apartment in the heart of Chiado
Just a perfect stay overall. The location is great - in the heart of Chiado. It's on a street with a lot of foot traffic, but surprisingly the noise is not an issue. Would gladly stay again.

Beautiful space
Our party of four adults spent 3 nights in this lovely apartment. The apartment was very spacious with plenty of storage. There was a well-equipped kitchen. Best of all was the convenient location. It was easy to walk to the sights we were interested in seeing. We highly recommend this property.

Great location in Lisbon
The Chiado apartment was the perfect fit for our family of three. The views from the apartment were spectacular! Located near coffee shops, bakeries, stores and more! A fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms and a spacious living area made our stay very comfortable. The apartment was very clean and seems well cared for (some of the floor boards in the kitchen were curling up but it wasn't a big deal, just need to be aware. Luis says they will be replaced soon). There was some street noise but closing the windows and shutters was very effective at blocking the noise (there is air conditioning so the temperature could be kept quite comfortable). Luis was lovely when we met him at the office to pay for the parking. He was kind enough to recommend some restaurants where we could listen to Fado. I would definitely recommend staying at this lovely apartment.

My family of four had a pleasant 4-night stay in this apartment. Check-in was easy. The apartment was clean and fairly spacious. It's on a corner and has sweeping views of the city in two directions. There are several tall windows that open wide to let in the sounds of the street performers and the crowds below. We walked everywhere, there are so many stores, restaurants, bakeries, the train station (for getting to Sintra) within close proximity. I deducted 1 star from my rating because, although clean, the bathroom, kitchen, couches and pillows were a bit dated. Regardless, I would stay here again.

Lovely stay
Location is perfect. The place is spacious and lovely but showing signs of wear. Sofas are shot and uncomfortable. Light fixture cracked, cabinet door broken, floor boards are water damaged in spots and entry handle weirdly difficult. However, the location is superb. The street life is dynamic and great bakeries are all around. Would recommend.

Very central location. The street the apartment is on is very fun and lively with lots of live music. The apartment had the essentials and was spacious. A very welcome sight was the combination washer/dryer. We would definitely recommend this apartment.

Perfect location in Lisbon
We stayed in Chiado apartments 2 days ago. 2 Couples for 4 fun days in Lisbon-perfect! Amazingly central location, elevator, each room had an a/c. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, equipped kitchen, good size living room. Clean, towels provided. One of the bedrooms has 2 twin beds, and that is maybe the only inconvenient thing in this place. Staff was friendly and helpful. We cannot complain about anything, even if we wanted to. Highly highly recommended!

Great Everything!!
We adored staying at the Chiado Apartments (number 5A) on rua Garrett. It is located in one of the very best streets in Lisbon - for activity, ease in getting around, and views. The apartments are modern and clean, nicely decorated, well-supplied, and comfortable. The booking process is easy and the staff are attentive and helpful. They also provide close-by parking (at a very reasonable charge) if you have a car. Lisbon is lively and fun. Staying at Chiado Apartments enhances the pleasure of visiting here. Most highly recommended.

Loved our Stay in Lisbon
Great location in a very clean and updated apartment in Lisbon. It is truly the most central part of the city. Beds were comfy with quality sheets and bedding. We felt very much at home and felt comfortable walking everywhere in Lisbon. Paulo very patiently answered all of my questions and arranged for parking of our rental car when we arrived. Luis let us into the apartment and walked through all the details of our stay. I so enjoyed listening to the lively streets below of our apartment. We loved the Alfama and Barrio Alto district and walking the narrow cobblestone streets and authentic Portuguese neighborhoods. I would love to stay here again or perhaps the Alfama district which we loved to visit.

Perfect Apartment! Perfect Location!
We were absolutely thrilled and pleased with this apartment (4A) in Lisbon The unit itself was fantastic with everything we needed but the real treat was the wrap around balcony. It is narrow but just wide enough to put to chairs down. We sat there every night with a night cap enjoying the view. The streets were alive below us, but when we closed the windows and blinds it was pleasantly quiet. The air conditioning in all the rooms was really appreciated. The location was perfect - we could walk to everything or take the tram if we wanted to go further out. I can't say enough about this rental unit. When we return, we will definitely stay there again!

Perfect location, perfect view
Two of us stayed here for a week in Lisbon. The apartment was a great place from which to explore this beautiful and charming city. The location could not be better for site seeing. There are many places to explore within walking distance or are easily accessible via the nearby and easy to use public transportation. Time spent in the apartment is equally pleasurable. Its unsurpassed views of the castle (day and night), Se, the river Tejo and the surrounding neighborhoods are complimented by the sounds and music rising from the street below. Luis was friendly, helpful, and prompt - there as soon as we arrived to let us in and help us get settled. The airport shuttle he arranged for us was worth the 8 euro per person. The apartment itself is comfortable with many amenities. We should mention that the bathrooms are not as accommodating as one might hope for (warm rather than hot water, small shower, bathtub jets shown in photos not working, dim lighting), and the apartment entry doorknob is unnecessarily difficult to open, and impossible if you are left handed. These are minor details and we would readily stay here again.

Comfort, Service, Location Apartment 5A was Great
5A was Great but….you need more than 2 nights, we regret not staying longer. As a couple we rented apartment 5A 2 bedroom top floor on Rua Garette. We must say the service by Chiado Apartments was right on, from the private car that they arranged for us from the airport to the door was first-class. The location, can’t be better, for city-break vacation. Nightly entertainment a few feet away, right at the café where you can people watch and absorb the culture of Lisbon. The apartment itself, well…… Firstly, Beds were very comfortable, we had an excellent night’s sleep,by closing the blackout shutters, the first bathroom is huge and the second a little smaller but sufficient. The living room is very spacious with comfortable furniture. The apartment is encompassed by tall windows and unsurpassed views of the Ocean, and waterfront. The kitchen is complete for a city kitchen, who wants to cook when just at your doorstep are serval eating options like Bernard Café, where we ate all our meals. Internet was excellent, the apartment was clean and the elevator was a plus after a day of shopping. Most of all the staff was excellent at the start of the reservation to the service afterwards. We forgot some items at the apartment and the staff kindly mailed us our belongings, we thank them so much for all. We highly recommend staying at 5A on Rua Garette for 2 to 4 people. Marvelous apartment with stunning vieuw
We, 4 persons, had an excellent stay for 3 nights, The apartment is in everything splendid. With an big bonus for the vieuw from any side. With many space and luxury. And the beds are also very comfortable. With an full sized kitchen to cook, but we used it only for breakfast. The location could not be better. Also is the naberhood very safe to walk during the whole day. And for us shopoholics the whole area is like dreamland (shop till you drop). Very good service (including an welcome with wine) from the staff in all ways. I could ask everything by mail and got quickly answer. This was the second time visiting Lisbon and the nest year i will come back (2 persons) in may or june. I had made earlier recommendations at my work and to family/friends. And will go further giving advise to take Chiado apartments Rua Garrett. An tip: restaurant Carmo and the bakery Praca Camoes + Bicecletour with Baja Bikes.

Highly recommended
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment. It is ideally located - close to the trams, buses, train station, lots of sightseeing, shopping!! The apartment was well furnished, clean and we had a very warm welcome by Paulo's team. Paulo was also very responsive to all our questions prior to our visit.
You will need a map and can walk to a lot of places in Alfama and Chiado. Ask the person welcoming you at the apartment for a good map and general directions to the grocery store, tram stations, train stations, ride back to the airport etc.. We had done some research on the internet prior to our trip to note down all the sightseeing places we wanted to see. From the airport, we recommend that you walk up the stairs after you claim your baggage and go to the departures lounge and grab a taxi, it is much cheaper this way. You can buy a zapper card from the Chiado Baixa metro station, you will need one card per person and can load 5 euros to begin with. This card can be used on all trams and buses. We used tram 28 to get to Alfama, tram 15 to get to Belem. To go to Sintra, you need to get to the Roxio train station nearby and buy tickets.
We really enjoyed the street acts/music in and around the apartment area, the place is very lively and friday/sat nights can be very noisy. But the apartment has awesome sound proof doors for when you want to cut out the street noise and get some rest. We highly recommend the icecream place - Amareno. There is plenty to see in Lisboa, so enjoy your stay!! Thanks to Paulo and team for a fantastic experience in Lisboa, we hope to be back sometime soon!

We absolutley loved the apartment. The views are better than the photos. With the French doors and balconies, the space is bright and breezy. Visiting friends staying in expensive hotel rooms were jealous of the price we paid for this expansive and high-quality apartment. The street is alive with shoppers and students and musical performers/hustlers day and night which is entertaining during the day and evening, but after midnight, it's just noisy. We heard from friends that Lisbon by night is noisy wherever you are. Best of all are the owners/staff. Paulo and Silvia are a joy to work with, super competent. We booked two years in advance to get this prime location and we are glad we did.

Amazing apartment!
We had a wonderful experience at the apartment. Everything one could need was available. The view was magnificent and the area a vibrant mix of music, restaurants and shopping. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Paulo was quick in responding to emails and Silvia was a delightful in showing us everything we needed to know about the apartment and area. If you want to be in the heart of the city and close to everything, this is the place for you.

Found the apartment exactly as advertised. Central location, clean and comfortable. Everything close by ie; restaurants, groceries etc. Easy access to public transportation. Paulo very helpful. .Will use again on future visits and recommend to friends and family.Recommend a trip to Sintra be included in travel plans as train station is very handy and this makes a beautiful one day excursion from Lisbon. Lisbon is a city of hills but this 78 year old visited all the attractions and believe that with a bit of effort any one can do it.
A cold beer in the plaza was always a home coming treat.

This property did not disappoint. The listing description was accurate. The features and amenities were more than sufficient for our needs. It was a lot better than staying in a hotel. The location is in the heart of the exclusive Chiado district, close to Lisbon's main attractions, the metro station, Rossio train station, supermarket, bakeries and shops including the Armazen do Chiado which has its own food court. The property was very clean. Paulo was very helpful and addressed all our concerns. He and his staff were very efficient and responded to our calls and emails in a very timely manner. They went out of their way to make our stay in Lisbon a truly memorable one. We will definitely return and rent from Paulo. I highly recommend this property! Obrigado to Paulo, Silvia and Isabel!

A really beautiful apartment in a great location. The view was stunning. We could look down at rooftops and also had a look at the water. We had everything we needed and when there was a minor problem, it was immediately dealt with. I would definitely recommend this apartment. And there were three good restaurants across the street. And gelato!

Every one planning to visit Lisbon should consider this apartment. It is on the best location one could wish: in the midst of a shopping area, near Rossio (the central square) and very close to all public transportation (tram 28, metro etc.) There are a lot of good restaurants nearby.
The apartment itself has great views (as you can see on the pictures) and is very comfortable (airco, two bathrooms ...). The only downside is the ventilation in the master bathroom. This was insufficient, with unpleasant odour as a consequence.

Lovely apartment, fantastic location. Sylvia was very helpful with ideas of where to go and maps etc. would definitely recommend to anyone. Apartment was very well equipped and comfortable, view of the castle and the sea were amazing. We all loved Lisbon and the apartment.

Our stay in Lisbon was great and the apartment we stayed at made our stay even better. Paolo and Sylvia were responsive in every way. Sylvia met us on the day of our arrival and showed us around the apartment which was large, airy, comfortable and had amazing views.
The apartment is located in a great location very close to trains, trams, shopping and restaurants. Almost everything we did was within an easy walk or ride.
The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed "preparing" our own dinners at night after shopping in the local grocery store just a few blocks away. I also appreciated the washer/dryer located in the kitchen.
Thanks Paolo and Sylvia. This was the perfect choice for us and we would do it again in a flash.
Paolo arrived within minutes when a leak developed in the entry hall (nothing to do with our rental) and took care of it.

Where to start, on what was a fine week?
Our flight from Barcelona was delayed and I called because I was worried that we would not arrive at the apartment at the time promised. Accommodating doesn't begin to describe our reception. We were given the codes to the apartment, told to make ourselves at home, whatever the time, and we would be checked in the following morning. As we got in about 0230, this was very much appreciated.
The apartment is even nicer than the pictures show - the rooms are light, have great views, and are as comfortable as home. Everything was provided (down to two umbrellas!) - kitchen was well furnished and easy to cook in. Pretty, comfortable, modern, well-equipped, friendly - it doesn't get better than this.
The location is also great. In the center of things, but high enough up so that we were never bothered by the street noise. Convenient to shops, the Metro, and the trains to the coast. Cafes at the door, my favorite Lisbon restaurant (Tagide) three blocks away, a nice grocery up the side street, and a square to sit in with coffee or wine.
We have stayed in more than 6 VRBO apartments across Europe, and this is the best thought out and overall the nicest we have encountered. Book it and plan on a great stay in Lisbon!

We spent a week in this wonderful apartment with friends. It was spotless, nicely furnished, had a complete kitchen, comfortable beds, and right in the historic district. There were more restaurants within a block or two than you could visit in a month.
Paulo and Silvia gave us first class service- from meeting us at the front door upon our arrival to booking any drivers and tours we wanted. On top of all that they really went over the top when our friends had to call on Saturday evening and ask for help--they had locked themselves out of the second apartment we had rented. Paulo had to drive 1 1/2 hours each way to come in with a master key, and he still had a smile on his face.....what hospitality.
When we return to Lisbon this is the first place we will book, and we will take our first dinner at the nearby Sacramento Restaurant.

Amazing apartment with astonishing view over the old city, nice and tidy interior. Perfectly located in downtown Lisbon and very convenient for exploring the city either by walking or by experiencing ancient trams. Really enjoyed our stay, and would love to come back.

We called from the taxi as we left the airport and Sylvie was at the door to meet us just as we arrived. The views from the apartment are incredible in all directions, and the accommodations are clean, modern and well-equipped. The location could not be more advantageous. We picked up our breakfast at the bakery across the street every day, and found the best gelato of our trip right around the corner. We would definitely recommend the property to anybody.

It had been highly recommended by friends, and it did not disappoint. A bit of street noise, but that is to be expected when you live in a chic neighborhood of a lively town. And the views alone made me blissfully happy.
In addition, the recommendations from Sylvie "our concierge", on local spots, trains and chauffeured cars was all great, and the car service from Filipe was top. Paola, thank you for arranging for it all to come together and serve your guests so well. This is the place to stay in Lisbon.
