This newer design, custom built home in Palmetto Dunes has been completely renovated and is only a 10 minute walk to the beach. The home is meticulously maintained and has a layout and size that provides a great gathering place for large families and friends. The setting: Located in a quiet yet convenient area of Palmetto Dunes, this home has a short 10 min, beautiful, walk to the beach. It also has a similar length walk to the new Kroger grocery store in the opposite direction. Hop on a bike and cut the travel time down to a few minutes! The front of the home looks out to a beautifully landscaped front yard with a perfect, stately live oak surrounded by graceful azaleas. Additionally, across the street is a small undeveloped area providing more tranquil views of this peaceful setting. Functionally, a circular driveway serving a two car garage provides ample parking. The back area of the home is south facing and open providing tons of sun, (a rarity in Hilton Head), It also features perfect open views of the pool, professional landscaping, and a 15-acre spring fed lake that provides fishing and abundant wildlife watching, especially all the incredible birds! The back yard setting alone will make you want to come back! The pool: The pool is a modern design and is much larger than the average pool found in the area. It features an 8 foot deep end and an 8 inch deep sun shelf or kiddie area. It is graced on the back side by a 4ft wide shear flow fountain. Other highlights include a soft water/salt chlorination system,(no chlorine smell, red eyes, or irritation), colored LED lights for night time fun, and a large tile dolphin in 3D! Additionally, FREE heating,(when temp is above 50-55F), is provided, as needed, by a heat pump. Complimenting the pool is a large lawn area, a large paver pool deck with plenty of pool furniture, and an upgraded/renovated 12x30ft deck with built in seating, table and chairs for 8 with an umbrella, a separate retractable umbrella, and a gas grill. Living areas: An abundance of large living areas provides ample space for multiple activities. Entering inside, you’ll find a bright open floor plan starting with a large tiled entry with 14ft ceilings. Flanking the entry is a large formal living room providing a great place to visit or escape the activities of the great room. An adjacent formal dining room provides seating for 10. The huge, fun, great room is perfect for watching sports or movies and features 14ft high ceilings, a large built-in entertainment center with a 65 inch smart TV, and a triple french door opening to the deck. Overlooking the great room is an expanded gourmet kitchen featuring stainless appliances including a large double wall oven, and a five burner cooktop, as well as new cabinets and granite. The sizeable adjacent breakfast room seats 10 and is a great place to view the lake and watch the egrets, osprey, and herons in the morning. Sleeping: Three separate bedroom areas make this layout ideal for multiple groups and privacy. There is a master/family suite that features double doors opening to a sitting area. Off this room is the master bedroom, the master bath, and a small bedroom with two twin beds. The master BR is beautifully furnished, has a 50in TV and a triple french door opening to the deck to enjoy the views. On the opposite side of the house are two more bedrooms. The first has a queen bed and full bath and the other bedroom has two sets of bunks beds, (switching to a queen and one bunk bed set in 2024), and a full bath. The second master bedroom is on the front side of the home and is the only room on an elevated level providing quiet privacy. It has tropical Tommy Bahama furniture, (king bed), huge windows with great views out the front and a full bath with a beautiful tile shower. Lastly, a new queen sleep sofa is provided in the living room. The beach: There are several ways to enjoy the beach. You can walk or ride a bike to one of the regularly spaced beach access paths. We have provided approximately twelve adult bikes and two children's bikes at our home for your complimentary use*. You can also drive to the the complimentary Palmetto Dunes Beach Club which provides parking, bathrooms, outside showers and snack shop/restaurant. It is located near the south gate and is free for guests. Additionally, there is a complimentary Palmetto Dunes shuttle bus that will take you to the beach and back! All you have to do is give them a call to arrange a ride. We are confident you will love this home and will want to come back again! *While we do our best to maintain our bikes, operability is not guaranteed.

What a great house to share with family! And, owner Wade Anderson could not have been more accommodating. He got back to us quickly when we had any question, and he even left the pool heated for our stay. What a terrific thing for him to do, as the kids loved their pool
time.
The setting is so lovely. Views of the water from many of the rooms. Got to see hawks and herons.

Definitely a great property. The pool was a major hit and the lagoon provided ample opportunity for catching fish. The grandkids thought fishing was one of the highlights of the trip. Overall, we’d highly recommend this beautiful, spacious and clean house!!!

We absolutely loved everything about this house. The floor plan was perfect for our family of 12. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need & we enjoyed the bikes & beach toys in the garage. When we weren’t at the beach, we were swimming in the beautiful pool or hunting for gators, turtles & frogs in the pond (don’t feed the gators) 😳
It was also relaxing sitting in the living room each morning & watching the deer in the front yard. I think we saw them every morning. 😍
We will DEFINITELY return to this incredibly beach house.

What a beautiful house and property to vacation at! Wade, the host was very accommodating to the requests that we had. All pictures and descriptions of amenities were exactly as described on the website. Our grandchildren enjoyed the heated pool from sunrise to sunset! A short walk to the beach was also very nice. The free shuttle was available to take us out for dinner. We would like to thank you for allowing us to spend our family vacation at your beautiful house! We made many memories to cherish for years to come! We will definitely be back!!

Had fun playing games, foosball, shuffleboard, ice fishing, sledding, and wildlife viewing ( turkeys abd deer). We had a wonderful time and wish we would have booked more days. This home was by far the best home we have rented in our 20+ years coming to HHI! The home's layout afforded all 12 of us the ability of space, comfort, and yet connectedness as a family. Everything was organized in the home and we appreciated the tips for maintaining the home. Gorgeous furnishings yet comfortable. The short walk to the beach was through a lovely neighborhood. We truly enjoyed our week in the Anderson's home.

What a wonderful place to stay!!! Our family of five stayed here with my sister’s family of five and it was perfect! Plenty of room, so clean and perfect location. We grew up going to shipyard, which was always great, but we never had our own pool. That was such a win for us especially since my kids don’t love the beach everyday. Plenty of kitchen amenities and all of the bedrooms were more than big enough. I would come back here every year if I could!

This home and location was perfect for our family of ten. Plenty of room, well equipped kitchen and beautiful backyard and pool. I was a little worried about the pond in the back but the landscaping is a good detterent for little kids. Easy walk or drive to the two closest beaches and enjoyed the short drive to the general store for an early morning coffee.
Wade was easy to work with and readily available if needed. We will be back!

Our second year here did not disappoint. Great location and plenty of things to do. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of room for all 9 of us taking turns cooking. The weather was perfect for plenty of beach time, and we always enjoyed the pool after our bike rides.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Wade was great to work with. We had an air-conditioning issue mid week. We reached out to Wade, and the HVAC company arrived within an hour and resolved the problem. The house was beautiful, and the pool area was exceptional. The bedroom layout of the house worked wonderfully for our family in that everyone had their own family privacy. We would definitely recommend this property.

Our trip was great. Wade was always quick to respond to any questions. Beautiful house with plenty of room for our large group of 15. We never felt like we were on top of each other. This house is in the back of the resort so there is minimal traffic which was awesome with the kids. Would recommend.

The other areas of the home were spacious & comfortable as well. The kitchen was fully stocked & well organized for large family meal prep. There were more bikes than we could even use, and also a beach wagon, beach chairs, & beach toys. This wonderful home is in a lovely neighborhood. Beach access is a pleasant & easy walk away. The large pool was heated and is surrounded by several lounge chairs in a beautiful yard with a great deck area. This was our first “generational” vacation & it turned out great. We are so glad we chose this property and we plan to return. Wade, the property owner was great to work with.

We've been staying on HHI for spring break for the last 8 years and this has been our favorite VRBO property. The house is exactly as pictured. The backyard is AMAZING! The pool overlooking the lake is perfection. Plenty of sun for the pool but also some shade. It was in the mid 70s all week and we were all comfortable swimming in the heated pool. The house is huge. We had more than enough room for 4 adults, 2 teens, 1 child and a toddler. We used the bikes provided every day. We love Palmetto Dunes and especially this house! Owner communication was great as well!

What can I say, another great trip to HHI. This was the third year our group of five retirees has gathered at this excellent Palmetto Dunes home to enjoy a week of island golf. Wade was a welcoming host and this property is very clean, well furnished and extremely comfortable. Hopefully we will return again next year!!

Our group loved staying in this house. Having bicycles and pool heat included while being just a few minutes from the beach provided options for everyone. The house is large enough for everyone to spread out. This was a great trip.

We loved our stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. This place had a full kitchen of pots, plates, etc. for us to prepare all our meals. Plenty of bath towels for our group, bikes, wagon to take toys and chairs to beach. Great location. We love the Palmetto Dunes area. We would definitely rent again from this just.

We arrived to Palmetto Dunes and were blown away by how beautiful the community was. The house was gorgeous and clean (and my husband is OCD, which is saying a lot ). There was plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen was fully stocked. The pool was warm for the kids to swim. There was even detergent so we could keep our towels and washcloths clean. And having bikes there to ride was so convenient. We saw many deer, cranes and even an alligator during our stay. We were completely spoiled by this home and will be booking another stay there, hopefully for our next anniversary. Thank you to Mr. Anderson for allowing us to experience his wonderful home.

We were in Hilton Head to attend a Mercedes Benz Club event and the Concours de elegance. The house is in a great neighborhood. Walking and biking without traffic was a plus. Plenty of bikes in various sizes to choose from right in the garage. The owner was quick to respond to questions, the house was very clean and spacious. The kitchen is well stocked for large groups and the pool was heated for our stay.

We loved staying at this home during our stay in Hilton Head. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet, and perfect for bike rides to the beach. The home is clean, spacious, and the private pool really sealed the deal for us. The owner was incredibly kind and thoughtful leading up to and during our stay. There was an issue with the thermostat that we had to contact him about mid-week. He took care of it immediately and all was well. We had a lovely week and we are thankful to have been able to enjoy it on this property.

This beautifully maintained house is spacious and bright with room for extended families. Our group of 8 had plenty of area for cooking, dining, lounging, puzzling, napping, reading, and swimming. The pool is gorgeous and was the highlight of our trip as well as the plentiful bikes. The bedrooms and ample bathrooms gave everyone their own space and privacy. The large windows looking over the lagoon made both the indoors and outdoors a peaceful oasis. The wildlife was really enjoyable to watch. Such a short bike to the beach, which is pristine and uncrowded, with gentle waves, - perfect for kids! The kitchen is well-stocked, the house very clean, the essential AC worked well, and there were even lots of games. Pool and beach items were an added bonus to have available. There is plenty to do if you want: restaurants, sailing, mini-golf, shopping, etc. We had an amazing and memorable family vacation. Thank you!
