Nestled in Steamboat Springs, this charming house for $450 per night is a great option for your next trip. Hello, we are Robin and John Hanley and we would like to welcome you to our Under the Gondola Guest Suites in Steamboat Springs, CO.! Originally from upstate NY, we moved to Chicago for 15 years before visiting Steamboat and subsequently moving here 25 years ago. While on a business trip to Romania, John was quite taken with the Romanian people and the plight of their economy. He discovered the best way to help them was to hire them for their crafts. Therefore, this property has been finished using Romanian marble, European cherry wood and wrought iron all hand crafted by individual people and villages. The property is located just under the gondola on Ski Trail Lane. Our heated, back staircase leads you down from the house to only cross the street and ski out to the base of the mountain. Ski-in is just as simple. The Flat Top Suite is on the lower level of the house. It has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with 2 twin beds. A queen pull out sofa sleeper is in the living room. Dishes, silverware and pans are stocked in the kitchenette. A gas grill is on the deck outside the suite, with a side burner for added cooking options. Flat Top Suite has it's own entrance so you can come and go without walking thru our living space in the house. We are dog and kid friendly. THIS IS A NON-SMOKING HOUSE with wireless internet throughout. There is a laundry room on site for our guest's use. We live in the main portion of the house, offering 5 private guest suites for nightly/weekly rental. (There is no shared living space.) A perfect setting for a multi-family trip, traveling together but each having a private suite & bathroom. The property is collectively known as Under the Gondola Suites and extremely welcoming to dogs at $75 per dog/stay. There is a shared fenced in yard surrounding our guest suites. Currently, Steamboat/Hayden airport HDN, has non-stop service to Houston and Denver. Winter brings many more non-stop flights including the new Southwest airlines! We had a lovely experience in Steamboat and Robin was an exceptional host!! Our family of 4 (kids 10 and 12) were able to ski in/out of the house easily. Great views and clean accommodations, highly recommend!!

We are not sure if our dogs or our kids had more fun! The location of this property is perfect and the fenced in backyard was so awesome for the dogs. We woke up to a a foot of fresh snow this morning and the skiing was absolutely amazing. It is so nice to not have to get in the car and drive to find parking. Robin is wonderful. . . . we really hope to do this trip again!

Such a great space, plant of room for family of 4 or more!! Outdoor space perfect for lounging outside by the fire watching the sunset while kids and pup play! Walking distance to ski slope. Would love to come back again!

This is a very nice property. It looks exactly as the pictures show. There is a large fenced in yard if you are bringing your dogs. You will see hummingbirds and chipmunks from the back windows. Great view of the sunset and hot air balloons. Easy access to gondola.

We loved staying at the Under the Gondola suite. We chose it because we wanted to bring our doggie, but a wonderful place to stay even if you don't have pets to bring. CLEAN! Wonderful host! Comfy furnishings and great outdoor areas. Will be back!

We had a wonderful stay at the Flat Top Suite Under the Gondola. Very comfortable and SO clean! We traveled with a toddler and the place was also easy to child-proof by removing a handful of items from low cabinets and drawers and blocking a couple places (note that the floors, fireplace, etc. are stone, which was not a problem for us but I understand may impact other's ability to child-proof). The living room and dining area had a lovely view of the town, and our daughter loved seeing the hot hair balloon every morning. The back yard was so nice to sit in, we really enjoyed the hummingbirds flitting around, and our pup enjoyed it too! Robin was a wonderful hostess.

This place was just what we were looking for. It was very dog a kid friendly and had great outdoor space for morning coffee and evening grilling. The location is walking distance to the base of the mountain which is great. Would definitely recommend this location when visiting Steamboat - we will be back!

Nice place! Beautiful deck but Flat Top has "shared" deck space with strangers despite having a back door directly into deck area. Make sure you're dressed appropriately 1st thing in the morning! Other rooms have secured dedicated space for personal use. Wish we would have known that when we picked this very exposed rental! :-)

Very nice & accommodating owners, Robin checked on us multiple times, which we appreciated! Really big area for kids (or pets) to play in snow outback, nice outdoor sitting area, fans & TVs in both rooms, nice sized unit for a family of 4. As others have mentioned, there is no oven or stove in the unit, but we used the crockpot, grill & burner on the grill to make dinner. Wish the beds were more comfortable - the twin beds were very springy & the king bed was very firm. Nice ski in/out location for adults, but it was challenging for our younger kids. Also, location was a little further walk than we would have liked to a bus stop, but location is great if you have a car or stay in the summer.
