About this cottage rental
Double Bay is centrally located on Eleuthera, about 4 miles south of Palmetto Point on the Atlantic Ocean. The beach is a two mile stretch of pink sand with coral reefs dotted along the beach. It's a very private area with mostly large estate homes. We have 6 acres of land on the beach which we have left undisturbed except a clearing around the house and a path cut through to the beach.
This newly renovated stone cottage was the first structure on Double Bay. Repotly built as a fisherman's cottage, we unearthed the cottage from the bush, gave it a major overhaul, and ended up with a lovely, modern studio cottage with everything you need and more! The cottage is located toward the south end of Double Bay and may be rented alone or in tandem with Palms cottage. The cottage is surrounded by palmetto palms, with a winding path several hundred feet to beautiful Double Bay. The stone exterior is surrounded by wide covered porches with plenty of space for relaxing, dining, or a secluded outdoor shower. The exterior porches are a new addition to the original stone structure.
The interior is entirely new, from ceiling to floor. Tall wooden tray ceilings enhance the open floor plan. The open floor plan includes a full kitchen, bedroom and sitting area with a separate bathroom. A washer/dryer, air conditioning and ceiling fans are included. Our local craftsman built the kitchen cabinets and most all of the bedroom furniture. Local talent is further evident in the art and furnishings around the cottage. A fully equipped kitchen, all towels, linens and even beach chairs are included with your rental.
We have owned Palms cottage on the same stretch for 20+ years,. The homes are completely separate from each other and totally private. We have put the same care into the construction and will maintain the new stone cottage as we have Palms all these years. We are looking forward to welcoming new guests to share in the beauty of Double Bay

Thank you for a perfect first visit to Eleuthera!We love the beautiful setting and location of the stone cottage because the beach was clean and pretty and also close to other lovely beaches on the island.Had everything we needed. Beach chairs and umbrella were wonderful. Kitchen was good for breakfast, lunches and dinners too. Tarpon dock has fresh fish about 2-4 pm ish daily but you never know exact times and fish selection.

Beautiful place! Make sure there’s no construction going on when you stay. This was not communicated when we book our stay. We went there with full intention of privacy.
