Nestled in East Ridge, this attractive chalet for $172 per night is a great choice for your next break. City Overlook is an urban chalet located in the city just above downtown Chattanooga, on a rustic, secluded 2 acre wooded lot away from other people. Parties and events strictly prohibited. This property has immediate access to downtown and interstate (I-24), and is conveniently positioned between downtown and Hamilton Place Mall. The second floor chalet has a unique wall of windows framing views of downtown Chattanooga, Lookout Mnt., and Signal Mnt., and is a bright sunny place to be in the fall and winter. The space has hardwood floors in the living room, gas fireplace, stainless appliances, contemporary décor, private covered balcony in the trees, and approx. 1300 sq. ft of living space, with a fully equipped kitchen. EPB fiber optics wifi. The chalet has two large carpeted bedrooms both with memory foam mattresses, with 400 threat count Egyptian cotton sheets. The chalet is located down a long narrow gravel driveway that is a bit rough and can be muddy. The driveway can be difficult to turn around in. The chalet is on a natural wooded lot with minimal grass and landscaping. This location is just above downtown so you may hear noise from the city and traffic in the distance. (Permit STVR 23-18)

We were very comfortable and had all the”things” we needed. The view from the windows was magnificent and magnetic as I couldn’t stop looking! The driveway was a small challenge the first time we used it but no problem once we figured it out. Chattanooga was a fine hostess. Thanks Rodney for a great VRBO stay.

Rodney was an excellent host who went out of his way to make sure that all of our accommodations were met. We had a minor issue with tv/internet and he exceeded our expectations of remedying the problem in a timely manor. House was clean and comfortable with great views!

Enjoyed the view the most! Easy access location. Nicely furnished and great communication. I was a little nervous after seeing reviews about the “road noise”. Puuhhhlease! Yes the interstate is part of the (distant) view and if you try to- you can hear occasional road noise but it’s not disruptive at all!!! I’m triggered by sleep disturbances and experienced NONE! It was a great stay and the surprise bottle of wine was an unexpected and lovely touch! Give this place a try!

The condo had a great view of downtown and was very clean. The deck is a little slanted, so we didn't sit out there, but the view from inside was so great that it didn't matter. It can be tricky to turn around in the driveway, but we managed it well. It is close to everything and we had a wonderful time. It was private and lovely.

Wonderful stay. The view is magnificent. Very clean and accommodating. Close to Lookout and Signal Mountain. 2 really great restaurants in the neighborhood. Local grocery store very close and easy to get to. Loved our getaway.

This property overlooked Chatanooga and had a beautiful view. Rodney stayed in touch with us and kept us updated on our reservation. Would stay there again when visiting Chatanooga.

Great location for an overlook of Chattanooga! Very private and had everything we were looking for! Only ding, the windows could have been a bit cleaner for the view. We understand that it is basically on the third floor and difficult to clean but they do have pressure washers that can do it. The porch was great to see the view!

My husband and I live outside of Detroit. We love the south. Rodney’s VRBO stay was perfectly relaxing. Such a beautiful view and great decor. It was close to so many great restaurants. Chattanooga is foodie destination that does not disappoint. YUMMY!

The view is amazing! The property is clean, and has all the basics you need. What isn't there is at the grocery store about 5 minutes away. The location is great too. It took us less than 10 minutes to get downtown.

Rodney was an awesome property manager making it super easy to check in and out. The views of the city were spectacular and it was an extremely cozy home to stay in. Very close to downtown! Sugar's Ribs was an excellent restaurant located just at the bottom of the hill. Would highly recommend!

I've stayed her more than once and love it! The view on our last night was one of the most amazing sunsets I've ever seen! The place is perfect and easy to get anywhere. Communication with Rodney is easy and he's very responsive. A+ stay.

House was very clean, simple layout with plenty of room. Very convenient to downtown, 7-12 mins depending on traffic. Conveniently located near a brand new Food Lion. Beds were very comfortable, plenty towels and wash cloths. View and sunsets were unreal.

If you're looking for accommodations in Chattanooga away from the city but close enough (10 minute drive) to enjoy the city this is the place. Amazing view and the property was very clean and comfortable. Especially liked the mattresses in both rooms. Would recommend this property to other friends and family.

My best friend and I needed a mommy break and this place was perfect! It was only 10-12 mins from ruby falls and rock city. Gorgeous view of the city and mountains! This is deft going to be a place we stay at again. We enjoyed ourselves and they even left a bottle of Pinot in the fridge for us! Excellent place to stay very courteous and thoughtful to their guest! 10000 out of 10 would recommend to anyone who asks where to stay in Chattanooga!

The property was nicely decorated, very clean and a great location for what we like. This property is away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to be in the city in minutes. Rodney was quick with responding when called or emailed. The views from this property are exactly what we wanted, views of the city and all surrounding mountains.
