The house was quiet, clean and beautiful. We had a wonderful visit with the short time we had in Forest hill. Would love to stay there again.

I stayed with my granddaughter, for the night before her wedding day!……It was just PERFECT!! We “chatted”, while the “flower girls”, watched a movie. The morning of her wedding, 6 bridesmaids came to get ready, sipping mimosa’s, snacking, most of all, laughing, gabbing, and even tears! Packing up, in the rain was chaotic, but we made it to the Veterans Hall, just up the street…”only” a little late! Such a memorable day!, I want to thank Wendy, for allowing us a late check out, which was SO important!! Her house is ADORABLE, with the most COMFORTABLE bed I have EVER slept in!!

No central heat. Two space heaters warm limited areas. Was shivering from cold inside house. No sound for tv. Property mgr did not return call for info. Lots of square footage. Decent furnishings. Excellent location for downtown wedding.

It was exactly what we needed for going to a wedding at the Lodge. It's a about a block away from the wedding venue and also close to a nice park. The house has a lot of character and is a fun place to stay. We had one problem with the water heater but contacted the owners and they were on top of it immediately.

We want to thank our host for their warm and cozy vrbo. When we arrived their was a log in the wood stove, the house was clean and well appointed. It was the perfect location to visit our family in Foresthill, thank you!

My sons wedding was a 3-day event at Forest House Lodge. This house on Gold Street is the best location for guests. The other 1-bedroom cottage is just outside the back door, so super convenient to others in the group. Walking distance!

This cozy property suited our needs perfectly! It was chilly until we got the fire going in the furnace. We witnessed a momma deer and her babies walking pst the front yard and some Beautiful peacocks all around. We were in town for a wedding and had some time to explore the area. We checked out the restaurants, library and a cemetery and some hiking trails. We even awoke to a small dusting of snow. I would love to stay here again. Since my little one is newly walking, we rearranged items to surround the furnace so that she couldn’t get near it. Everything was perfect here

Stay was good. The house did not feel overcrowded and the beds were comfortable. It did get a little cold and it was hard to find extra blankets but otherwise it was good. The large dining table was a great gathering place for our group.

Me and my friends have stayed here twice and had great experiences both times. The rental is literally a 2 minute walk from the lodge where many weddings are held.

We stayed for my sons wedding. The venue was so close, it made everything so convenient. We stayed here 3 years ago for a family wedding and I was so glad it was available again

Lots of beds for guests. Could use more light in kitchen and a clean out of very old and mismatched glasses, many of which were dirty from not being used for years. Barbecue was dirty and all of windows needed to be cleaned. The blinds were dusty and there were cobwebs on windows. The carpet was also stained and needs to be replaced. With all the VRBO fees the cost was too expensive for this rental.

We booked numerous rentals to later realize that ALL of them were owned by by Wendy (e.g. Miner's camp (~15 cabins), The Cottage In Foresthill, and this home). You come to the realization that there's a deep rooted monopoly in Foresthill. When I asked Wendy if I could do an extension, I was literally billed the same day. However, when I asked for a reduction I was led to believe it was "no problem." Wendy will lead you to believe she's accommodating and flexible but when it comes down to it she's strictly business without flexibility or compassion. I regret giving her my business and wish the Mountain Shadows mini-homes would have been available. Hopefully they will be when it comes time for you to book. Best of luck fellow travelers!

Came to this tiny town for a wedding, which was only one block away. Super easy to get there and back. Very nice owner who let me reschedule twice during COVID when the wedding dates were postponed. The house is fine. It was like sleeping in an antique store -- lots of stuff all over for decor. The beds were comfy and the kitchen was adequate. They struggle with the red dirt in this area and the carpets were showing it. Only 3 window air conditioner units. They finally did the trick after 24 hours but it was over 90 outside. The satellite TV worked well for us watching the Olympics. WIFI worked well too. Large single bathroom. The room set up is odd but the building is very old and probably added on to. Not posh but it worked for us. Overall it was a fine rental and in a great location for events at the Forest Lodge.

The AC had been turned on before arrival...that was a good thing as it was hot in July. Thanks for the rental. Would definitely stay again.

What a great lodge to stay. The place was clean and in a great location. We stayed there for my daughters wedding at the Foresthill lodge and it was walking distance. Wendy the owner was great omg I couldn’t be more thankful to her. Will definitely come back and will tell others to stay there. Thank you Wendy for your hospitality :)Myrna
