Nestled in South Lake Tahoe, this charming house for $311 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Our home is conveniently located 5 minutes from Heavenly Valley. Close, but not too close to Hwy 50 where you'll find wonderful restaurants and casinos and beautiful Lake Tahoe. Whether you come for the snow or hiking trails or just to get away, you'll find this is the perfect spot for whatever your heart desires. This is a 3 bedroom 3 bath home with a large bonus room and loft. The travertine and marble flooring is radiantly heated. The bedrooms are carpeted. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds and one with a double bed. The bonus room has a double futon. There's an indoor hot tub off of the main bathroom. The bathrooms have double vanities and all the counter tops are stone. We have a washer and dryer, heated floors. An upscale kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless appliances, ready to go with everything you need. You bring the food and we'll supply the rest. There are 3 large flat screen tv's, internet tv (ROKU) and high speed wifi. Large deck with bbq, beautiful yard with water feature and large mature trees.

Calling the place a "cottage" is severely underselling it. It was more like a large, wonderfully rustic escape!
Like in the song from Disney's Aladdin, around every turn was a surprise, starting with the spacious 2-car garage, then winding up the stairs to the first floor, and then up the second set of stairs to the second floor. Heated stone floors on the first floor; carpet on the second. The kids spent the time that the dads used to unload the cars to explore the entirety of the house, and ended up in the upstairs fun / game room. Meanwhile, my spouse had comfortably set up her workstation in the loft and confirmed the internet connection to be reliable and fast.
The kitchen was well equipped with a large island, a great Viking Professional gas stove, and large dining table. We had lots of space to put our things and enough sleeping areas for everyone. The casual reading on hand ranged from fun kids books (Horton Hatches an Egg) to thrillers by Dean Koontz and Tom Clancy to more technical material for those who wanted to learn something while on retreat.
The host was very communicative throughout and helpfully answered questions we had. Unfortunately we didn't get to take advantage of the entertainment amenities or the hot tubs.
One caveat I'd call out for families with young kids is that the common areas (living room and game room) had tables with glass tops. Also, given the winter weather outside, the air felt a bit dry.

Location was nice and neighborly. House had a lot of room and with that a lot of dust and cobwebs. While staying at the house my respiratory issues flared up from the dust and when I contacted the owner about cleanliness he informed me it was just a heavy pollen season. However, every time we left the property I was able to breath much better. While the kitchen and other amenities were nice, there was large amounts of clutter in all closets, separate garage filled with junk, and all dishes we pulled from cupboards were still dirty with old food and such. Overall the house was fine however it could use more TLC if it is to be rented out.

This is a large, comfortable cabin, perfect for a large family ski vacation. It is located super close to Heavenly and a 30-minute drive from Kirkwood. The host is very friendly and helpful. It's wonderful that this house accommodates dogs, and there is space for a big group, especially for teens, who have their own hangout space. The beds were comfy, the driveway is flat, and there was even an EV charger. The house was very clean.

Place was nice and spacious. The coffee and keurig machines didn’t work but coffee shops weren’t too far away. Indoor hot tub was nice. Neighbors were very pleasant. Hoping there’s opening during the summer for us.

Great stay! Clean, comfortable and convenient! Holed up for several days due to the nonstop snow- 5 feet in 2 1/2 days! Once the blizzard cleared, just a short drive to Heavenly. The house was fully equipped and had everything we needed. Thanks for sharing your beautiful property.

This home had everything you needed, the neighborhood was great, snow everywhere so we didn’t have to drive to a snow park, about a 10 minute drive to casinos and Heavenly village. Owner was super nice and my doggy enjoyed his fist time in the snow. Definitely will be back to this house

This was our second trip to Tahoe and the first time we did not have a great experience with our rental so we were very picky this year about where we stayed. This place did not disappoint. The host was very attentive and the cabin was stocked with all necessities. There was plenty of space but it also felt very cozy. We also brought our dog with us and the place was perfect for her. The street was nice and quiet for her to go on walks and she absolutely loved all of the snow out there. We even got stuck in a storm one of the days and had to stay in but it was absolutely beautiful watching the snow fall through all the windows around the cabin and we even got to go have some fun out in the driveway. Overall this place was the perfect fit for us and we will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful home with everything that we needed for our immediate and extended family of 9, plus our furry friends. Close enough to all that So Lake Tahoe has to offer. Quiet street with friendly neighbors. Richard, the host, was friendly and very responsive to all of our questions & requests. We were very lucky to have several feet of snow fall during our 7 day stay. So much fun skiing & snow boarding at local resorts, & playing in the snow around the house. Interior was always warm with radiant floor heating and wood fire place in the living room. The hot tub was great after longs days of adventures outside. Looking forward to returning.

Could not have asked for anything more. Everything was great about the house and LOVED the location. Close to everything, but still felt secluded. Was able to play with the grandkids at end of culdesac and back of house for wonderful winter wonderland experience. The owner was extremely responsive and answered all of our questions quickly. We were all very comfortable and everyone- from the grandparents, twenty-something’s, teens, and toddlers, everyone enjoyed the house and their stay in snowy Tahoe.

I rented this cabin for a large group of friends to stay for a birthday weekend and had an amazing time! The cabin was very spacious and everyone felt comfortable, a big plus was that the place is pet friendly :) Will definitely be booking again!

We had a great stay at this house. Plenty of space to spread out, beautiful finishes and everything we needed and then some. Beds were (mostly) comfy. Kitchen is a dream! Only critique would be to mention the stairs at entry down to garage- very steep and hard to block safely- we have a crawling baby and it was very tricky to keep him away. Would have packed baby gates had we known! Also could use some new pots and pans in kitchen. The street ends in a cul-de-sac with open space for walks and nature exploring. The kids found bunnies, chipmunks and squirrels, birds galore and spotted a bear.

Perfect location!
Great location for all the places we wanted to go. The hiking trails at the end of the street was a bonus. We had 4 adults, 5 kids and 3 dogs and had plenty of room. We had everything we needed in the kitchen, plenty of linens and pillows. This chalet made for a perfect vacation. Thank you!
