It’s not uncommon to see dolphins swimming by. We are located in a tranquil neighborhood just north of the pier, where you’ll easily blend in with the locals, and are close enough to walk to the heart of downtown in 15 minutes. San Clemente is also uniquely positioned exactly between San Diego and Los Angeles, and each is approximately a one hour’s drive from here. And of course, Disneyland is 30 minutes up the road. Visit these locales for the day, then come home to the beach! The free flowing, indoor-outdoor design is spacious and bright. View your flat screen TVs while lounging in the family room, or from your king-sized bed with the Westin Hotel’s “Heavenly Pillow-top” mattress. Custom closets offer plenty of storage, and there’s also a built-in desk. Additionally included are 2 ceiling fans, a fireplace & plenty of storage throughout. The custom kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and various spices, and includes a dishwasher and restaurant-grade Bertazzoni range. The bath is Jack & Jill style, allowing access from both the bedroom and family room. The toilet is separate from the shower, and each has its own sink, perfect for multiple guests. The bathtub/shower is a deep Euro-soaker, for those who enjoy bubble baths. THE BEACH Directly in front is Mariposa Point Beach, perfect for swimming, surfing, body boarding, fishing and stand-up-paddling. The wave breaks over a small reef in front, and is typically best for surfing at a medium tide rising high. There are many other surf breaks within a very short walking distance, including T-Street Beach. World-class surfing at Trestles and San-O is just a 10-minute drive south. At low tide, the reef in front reveals star fish, sea anemones, sea urchins, muscles, snails, etc. COMPLIMENTARY BEACH GEAR: Surfboards Body Boards Beach Chairs / Towels Umbrella SHOPPING AND RESTAURANTS Our quaint downtown area is only a few walking blocks away, offering stylish boutiques, surf shops, antique shops, and local and international cuisine. Take a short stroll to our pier, where you can take in the sun and ocean breezes, fish, or relax and dine at The Fisherman’s restaurant. DAILY ADVENTURES NEARBY • Theme parks, etc: Disneyland, SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, Knott’s Berry Farm and Legoland are one-hour’s drive or less. • San Clemente’s new Aquatic Center features an Olympic-sized pool, and an “Aquatic Playground” for the little ones. • Dana Point Harbor is a ten-minute drive north, with numerous options for shopping, dining, or deep-sea fishing. You can also rent kayaks, jet skis and sail boats, or take the short boat ride to our local Catalina Island. • Laguna Beach is our neighboring seaside community, renowned for its gorgeous beaches, galleries, art festivals, and Pageant of the Masters (July). • Big Bear Ski Resort is two-hours away, close enough for a day trip or over nighter. • Catch the “Surfliner Amtrak” Train from our pier for a one-hour seaside excursion down the coast to San Diego, or to the Del Mar Race Track (July 17-Sept 4), or to Angel’s Stadium for baseball games.

We were so glad to have a garage to park in! Our large car was a logistical problem but we made it in and out just fine. Sheryl performed some kind of dance that held off the El Nino storms until we left so we were happy for that extra service. The apt was spotless, well furnished and decorated beautifully in the appropriate beachy style.

The apartment is even better than it appears in the photos. The patio was great and furnishings extremely comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and nice to walk in. We had a great experience with the check in. Extremely kind and timely communication with our host. Thank you for such a great stay! We wished we could have stayed longer.

We had an amazing time. The location was perfect for us. Close to the beach but away from the foot traffic I’m used to when staying near a beach. The view on the patio was incredible. Place was immaculate and had everything we needed. Hosts were very nice and extremely communicative. We are definitely coming back. Thanks for a great stay!

My husband and I booked this property for a staycation. I am a clean freak, the unit is immaculate. The kitchen has everything you need, but why cook when there are so many choices of really good places to eat nearby. The best thing is you can hear and see the ocean all the time. The property manager responded very quickly to a few questions we had. I highly recommend this property.

We were at this place for a total of 5 hours or less before we were forced to rush out for safety reasons. As soon as my wife and I arrived at this property we began experiencing discriminative behaviors from surrounding neighbors and even the co-host. Doug (the co-host) was explicit in informing us that he was not comfortable with us being around. Sheryl (the host) was called down by Doug, at which time I introduced myself and my wife. Sheryl then made an offensive joke about my name and then finishes with "I hope that wasn't offensive". Of course it was Sheryl, that's why you stated that. Although these interactions were offensive, we carried out our plans to see the beach. It took 30-40 mins to find water although the listing says its a short walk. During our walk to find the water is when we really begin experiencing discrimination and racism. People were staring at us with looks of disgust, the same way Doug was when we arrived. People were pointing, people were clutching their bags, going out of their way to not pass by us. We gave up on getting to the water once we heard someone call us a racial slur as they passed by. After being called the "N" word in this neighborhood I immediately started recording and searched for more welcoming accommodations. I never stopped recording after the incident in case anything else happened. I informed VRBO and the host of the incident. VRBO was understanding. The host not so much, as soon as I sent the message to her, I could hear her stomping upstairs and calling me a liar. According to Sheryl, nothing like this could ever happen in her "pristine" neighborhood. She began harassing me even after we left her property, her professionalism completely disappeared, and she continuously accused me of fibbing. As I mentioned to the host and VRBO, I would never be comfortable in a situation like that, these people could have rushed the house, put up a burning cross, or worse. I was not staying to find out. Well, Sheryl didn't believe this was cause enough to cancel the trip. So although I was there for five hours or less, Sheryl REFUSED to cancel the trip and REFUSED to give me a refund for the time that I was not there. I agreed to pay the cleaning fee and for the "day" I was there. However, when dealing with unprofessional people, we have to expect unprofessional results. As I mentioned this is not a safe place for African-Americans or the LGBTQ+ community. We should never have to spend leisure time worrying.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record and the other reviews of which I read all of them before booking this property, the photos are spot on. The place is in an excellent location. I enjoyed staring out of the window as the sun rose and set. The property is clean and well stocked. The owner in terms of communication is top notch. I had the pleasure of meeting her as I was checking in. She had such a wonderful spirit. The walk to the beach each morning was breathtaking. I would definitely recommend and cannot wait to return.

Beach Bliss
This property is just as advertised… steps from beach access with wonderful views from the living/dining area. Kitchen is well stocked and owners are great with communicating on any needs we had! Weather was spectacular and we enjoyed our stay immensely and will be back!! Highly recommend!

The property was just as pictured. The location was great as we walked down the path to the beach and San Clemente trail every day. We spent most of our time outside hiking, on large patio, or at beaches. Walked to dinner every night. Owner Sheryl was responsive, check in easy.
