Nestled in Balboa Island, this lovely house for $338 per night is a great choice for your next break. Balboa Island is an absolute jewel in the middle of Newport Bay. There is a 1.6 mile walkway around the perimeter and a charming 2 block main street with unique shops and fine and casual dining, literally around the corner! My cottage is very inviting. Features a courtyard with outdoor fireplace. It is one bedroom with two bathrooms and a separate sleeping area off of the living room. Perfect for two or a small family. It is possible to sleep one additional person on the twin bed size couch. Centrally located between Los Angeles and San Diego. Great for day trips. The neighborhood is very relaxed. This is a popular destination so there is a fair amount of activity which makes the courtyard a welcome retreat. My home is one street away from the main street. It is so very quaint! There is a big mixture of old beach houses and new upscale construction. It is a very wealthy area with down-to-earth residents. Jill is a wonderful host: available, attentive and helpful! The cottage is in a great location on Balboa Island, close to the main street with restaurants, shops, Balboa Bars and Frozen Bananas :-). It was great fun to be on the Island when the Newport Beach Boat Parade was happening each evening; we loved strolling around the Island to watch the boats and see all the beautiful homes decorated for Christmas. A lovely stay in a lovely place!

Really enjoyed the property, only one block from town center, but still quiet and private. Comfortable and stocked with everything you need. Parking was provided which really made a difference. Highly Recommend

The property was old school, comfortable and charming. My only suggestion is that the next door neighbor please turn off the very bright outdoor light she has on right outside the bedroom window which floods the bedroom with light all night despite the black out shade and prevents sleep. Or perhaps she could install a motion detector light which would easily solve the issue. Other then that it's a lovely and private abode.

We really loved the comfortable open plan living space and peaceful vibe at Jill’s place-the perfect respite during a busy family vacation. Our group spread across two houses, and Jill’s was the place to catch your breath in the quiet hidden courtyard or do food prep unbothered in the very well-stocked kitchen. Easy check in and accommodating host. We had a wonderful visit!!

What a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The home was well supplied, had a comfortable and inviting living area, good beds, good showers. No air conditioning, but the fans did the trick. We would definitely recommend this property and are looking forward to returning next year.

Jill was thoughtful and welcoming. It was my wife’s birthday and Jill was kind enough to leave her a note and a ballon. Such a wonderful touch. The property was just as described. The location was perfect and easily accessible to all of the local restaurants.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is very quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of the main street, but close so that you can walk for your coffee, groceries and food. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed visiting and relaxing in the living area and were able to cook just about anything in the well-stocked kitchen. We would definitely like to come back!

Jill’s property was in a great location- so close to all the restaurants on Balboa Island. The house was very cute and nestled back from the street which was great for privacy and quiet. The little courtyard was perfect for an evening drink and we even had a friendly visit from a neighbors cat a couple of times, who was adorable. Jill was so friendly and kind! We really enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Rental home better than photos. Very high class area about 15 minutes from Laguna Beach and closer to scenic Corona Del Mar which has great beach area and beautiful homes. Rental has good modern kitchen, 2 good TVs, 2 modern bathrooms, and is one block from great shopping street with many eateries. And best of all is in the middle of hours of walking around multiple canals with scenic homes and boat along them.

We were totally surprised that the photos in the website captured the vibe of this getaway! The court yard was so peaceful and perfect for enjoying a glass of wine or two outside. The bungalow was clean. The artwork and stained glass were beautiful! So nice to have a great getaway place that does not require a lot of travel time. My friend & I loved the property! Plenty of room, and two bathrooms & sleeping areas made it perfect. The enclosed patio is a lovely, secluded place to eat or read, but the property is right around the corner from the "main drag" and all the dining & shopping action. Loved it!! Thanks, Jill

Lots of good things to say about this property - very clean, well equipped, plenty of space, good location for walking around the island, near restaurants and lots of cute shops. Can walk to the ferry and go over to Balboa Peninsula. Living room furniture and bedding very comfortable. Love the outdoor space, a little small but able to eat outside which is a big plus. Parking adequate for one small car only. Otherwise could have to search the streets for a space. Host/owner was very nice and responsive/accommodating for any needs. The owner is on property and enters via the common outdoor space. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

While it is a very relaxing place, and Jill is most accommodating, my wife and I will return if and when some new towels and bed sheets are provided. I think it is time for something new especially on an aging soft mattress. I got the Internet and TV to work after disconnecting and reconnecting the router. Great location, secluded and quiet.

What a wonderful place nestled just a short walk from Main Street and the bay. Was quaint and quiet yet in the heart of everything. Was everything advertised and the perfect place for the 3 of us. The court yard was our favorite spot. The house was stocked with everything needed. Jill is an excellent host. Checking in out was so easy as well as parking. We will definitely re-visit!

This adorable little bungalow is perfect for a weekend away. It is situated close to shops and dining, and is in a quiet neighborhood perfect for relaxing and catching up. Jill is the best host, and the cottage is well stocked with everything you could need . Loved our stay and can’t wait to return.🌻

Jill has a beautiful accommodation that suited our needs perfectly. It is a quiet hideaway that is convenient yet secluded. The interior was lovely and comfortable. We really enjoyed the stained glass windows. The patio was a bonus as it was a perfect place to unwind after a day out. Meeting Jill was a treat. She is a very delightful hostess. This house was perfect for our family of four, including two teen boys. It was bigger than I expected, and SO handy to the commercial Marine Blvd, the harbor side walking path, the ferry, and the bridge to Newport. We appreciated the comfortable beds, two bathrooms, patio, and gas fireplace, and super easy parking. Owner Jill was pleasant and easy to communicate with, and the rental process was simple. A highly recommended stay on charming Balboa Island!
