Situated in Sausalito, this charming cottage for $265 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Ideal for those seeking comfortable accommodations as a base for exploring the San Francisco Bay Area and the Wine Country, or as a temporary residence while working in the City. Also suitable for locals temporarily displaced from their primary residence. Not a hotel , apartment, condo, or houseboat....this a house, a real home away from home with three bedrooms, three baths, and all the amenities you are used to. Our home is a charming remodeled and expanded California cottage with a large stone terrace in the back that affords breathtaking views of the Bay.....as well as Angel Island, Tiburon, Belvedere, Mill Valley, Mt. Tamalpias and Sausalito itself. You can literally spend hours just enjoying the sunny weather in a chair, sipping your favorite drink, and watching boating activity on the Bay. Accommodations for Five Persons: The home has a reverse floor plan, with kitchen, living room, dining area, and one bedroom upstairs....and you enter the home on that level from the street. Downstairs there are two bedrooms and an office area . The Master bedroom has large California King size bed and attached full bath, with spa-type tub and separate stall shower. The second bedroom has two twin beds and an attached full bath as well. Back upstairs: the third bedroom has a single twin-size bed and is adjacent to the upstairs full bath. The kitchen has black granite countertops and comes fully equipped for cooking. The house is wired for broadband communications, WIFI and has streaming TV entertainment. There are books and travel literature to read and even toys for children. There is a fully equipped laundry room for your use. If desired, periodic housekeeping can be arranged. From the home, it’s a short walk down the hill to Bridgeway and Caledonia, the two main streets of Sausalito, where there are many excellent restaurants and boutique shops. Sausalito is a small town located just below the famous Golden Gate Bridge north of San Francisco. An easy 10-15 minutes drive south back across the GG Bridge brings you right into the heart of San Francisco....or forget the car and take the ferry or bus across. Ferry service takes you directly to Fisherman’s Wharf in San Francisco. Ideal location for seasonal travelers or visiting executives. Rates: 30- night minimum stay (shorter stays are not possible due to city ordinance) See calendar for rates, No pets of any type or size allowed, owners have pet allergies. No charge for cancelations or changes of schedule, subject to availability of alternative dates.

As you drive up to this Sausalito cottage, it welcomes you in with its gable gate and beautiful flowers. Upon entering, the first thing you want to do is walk across the living room to the sliding door, which leads out onto the spacious deck with gorgeous views of the harbor and boats. My husband and I spent a great deal of time on that deck with either coffee in the morning or wine, cheese, and crackers in the late afternoon. The views are beautiful, especially as the light changes throughout the day. It is so relaxing. The house itself is just spacious enough to provide you with absolutely everything that you need. The large master suite downstairs has amazing views of the water, is cool and comfortable, and is connected to a large bathroom with a spa tub and a spectacular hot shower to warm up in on those brisk mornings. The beds are all extremely comfortable, and the supply of linens, pillows and towels is extensive. The cottage also has its own washer/dryer, which is, of course, very important for long stays. The location makes travel into downtown Sausalito very easy, as well as a quick jaunt to Molly Stone’s to pick up whatever groceries that were needed. There are many excellent restaurants within a 15 minute drive. We loved our stay and hated to leave once our 30 days was up.

We had a great month+ long stay at this Sausalito home and it was perfect for my family of 4 (including a 1 and 4 year old). Amazing views, responsive host, and great value. Very grateful we found such a perfect spot!

Amazing views and perfect location within walking distance to Sausalito and short drive to SF or the great communities in Marin County. If you are a cyclist, this is the perfect home base for riding into SF over the GG bridge or out to Muir Forest and Marin Headlands. Deck is amazing with 180 degree views of Richardson Bay, Tiburon, and Mill Valley. Home has great master bed/bath and a convenient work space. Wifi is a little weak for video conference calls though in the downstairs office. Owner is very responsive.

There are so many things to do in the Bay Area but it was hard to leave the beautiful terrace with its stunning view of the bay. Windows on both levels look out to the same view. Also a plus is that it is walking distance to town (although it is steep coming back up). Nicely renovated Sausalito cottage. Would come back!

We had a wonderful experience in Lee's home. The home is comfortable and clean with 3 bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you need to make a meal and the view of the bay is unbelievable. We had to SIP during our entire stay and it was the perfect place to be.

We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful house. It was very close to many excellent restaurants and only 5-minute-walk away from historic downtown Sausalito. The view from the deck was simply breathtaking. Would gladly stay here again on our next visit to the Bay Area.

My husband and I really enjoyed our three months stay in this big house. The view from the deck is superb, the street is quiet, parking is no problem and you can walk to many of the shops & restaurants (all of them if you're not lazy like us) What more do you want or need? Rent it. You'll be glad you did. :)

I highly recommend the Bookman's Sausalito cottage. It is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location puts you within a 5 minute walk to Caldonia Street and numerous restaurants and in ten minutes you are to the heart of the tourist area on Bridgeway. I appreciated the quality coffee mugs, the full size sofa which is great for napping, and the plush bath towels. The view of Richardson Bay makes this a special place.

Cannot believe what all we got for the "outstanding" rate - incredible location, extremely clean, stunning water views, beautifully decorated and well appointed interior, fast internet, great tv, awesome outside water view deck, and convenient parking. Owner is wonderful - very responsive. This fantastic home has it all! Would highly recommend. We will definitely return!

This was perfect for our family of 5, with kids. The house had everything we needed and the owners thought of everything. This is the first time we have stayed in Sausalito and it was a perfect location, close enough to SF but without the hustle and bustle, as well as close to Muir Woods and Napa. The house was a perfect size for what we needed, was in great shape and you can't beat the view. We would definitely stay here again!

Thanks for very quick return of security deposit. Thanks also for renting your wonderful house in Sausalito. We had a great vacation thanks to your wonderful house and view. We have rented a lot of places around the world ( Mainly Europe) and this is one of the finest. The amenities and equipment were superb. It really felt like being around the Mediterranean but with San Francisco within a 20 minute drive. We enjoyed some of your restaurant recommendations in Sausalito and Napa Valley .
