Situated in Anchorage, this lovely house for $750 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Stunning, comfortable, quiet, custom mountain home. This beautiful Alyeska/Girdwood home is located above all the others (literally) and has unparalleled Inlet views of the Turnagain Arm and surrounding mountain ranges. Fantastic views from every window of this three story home (including all three bedrooms), the hot tub and the fire pit!! Nobody has to sacrifice their epic Alaskan experience in this mountain home. So many homes in the Girdwood area only offer peekaboo views of mountains, but this is not the case at this modern mountain home. Everyone can enjoy the expansive views while lounging in the living room, eating at the dining room table, or cooking up a chefs dinner in the kitchen. The views truly are panoramic at this unique Girdwood property. This home is thoughtfully designed with 3 bedrooms that easily sleep 10 people. I can accommodate up to 13 if the additional 3 guests are children. Bedroom #1 has a king bed w/ ensuite bathroom. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed w/ ensuite bathroom. Bedroom #3 is an oversized bedroom that has 1 King bed, 4 twin beds, and 1 full size sleeper couch. Custom, hand made tile in every bathroom, so nobody feels left out. All the linens at this property are kept new, fresh, and spotless. Cleanliness is a top priority at this property. We make sure the house sparkles before your arrival. The home also features an extra large, private, 8 person hot tub spa on the second floor deck overlooking the inlet and surrounding mountains. The views from the private spa are impressive, and a favorite place for guests to sip their morning coffee before heading out on their adventure for the day. The spa is kept sparkling clean and we refresh the water frequently to maintain a clean space for guests to enjoy. The third floor chef's kitchen was designed for hosting gourmet meals for family/friends and is fully stocked with every pot, pan, and utensil you could possibly require (including a kitchen-aid stand mixer and vitamix blender). The kitchen includes high quality cooking knifes, steak knifes, and a set of fish fillet knifes. We also stock the kitchen with a large variety of spices, sweeteners, tinfoil, saran wrap, and food storage containers. We hope you feel right at home with the array of morning drink options including a coffee bean grinder, drip coffee maker (filters provided), french press, and an assortment of organic tea. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel, non stick and cast iron pots and pans. All you need to bring is the food, which can be stored in the full size fridge, or separate full sized freezer. The home has heated polished concrete floors and two large private decks, which are perfect for grilling your fresh caught salmon (on the extra large, 6 burner, Weber grill) while watching the sun set over the water. Speaking of Alaska's famous midnight sun, all the bedrooms have blackout blinds to ensure you have a restful sleep after your full day of activities. Close to the hotel and world class restaurants, yet tucked away from any busy Girdwood streets with traffic noise. Berry picking is right outside your door. Hiking and biking trails are everywhere you look. Free to guests to use during their stay (please request at time of booking): pack-n-play. The home is equipped with toys, books and 2 full game cabinets of board games and kid games to keep everyone occupied. The dining table is 10 feet long and the oversized walnut butcher block island/breakfast bar in the kitchen provides additional seating options. The living room, dining area, and kitchen are all located on the third floor to take advantage of the spectacular views surrounding the home. Kitchen and Bathroom countertops are soapstone, all appliances are high end stainless steel including the 48" Thermador gas range top. Full laundry room on second floor (we provide laundry soap). There is no garage parking available at this home. The location of this home was specifically chosen for the privacy and stunning panoramic views. The views of the inlet are very rare and unique in the town of Girdwood, and make for awe inspiring sunsets. Being at the end of a less traveled street also makes for little to no traffic noise during the sleeping hours. The private fire pit in the front yard is perfect for roasting hot dogs, chatting about the favorite parts of your day, and sipping hot cocoa after a day of adventures. Please take note. Any additional daytime visitors/guest must be pre-approved prior to their arrival. The property has a ring doorbell and a security camera overlooking the driveway. This home is absolutely beautiful with the most amazing views! Sitting at the top of the hill, you can see above the trees and thru to the water!
The house has everything you need with very comfortable bedding! It is close to the resort and the Double Mushky restaurant close by does not disappoint!! Lots of hiking trails! Just a wonderful peaceful place!

I have stayed in a ton of various VRBO's from Tahoe, Palm Springs, San Diego, Newport Beach, Downieville and other out of reach locations but this place was perfect for my 50th Birthday get away with a group of my buddies!
Marilyn the property owner was awesome!! Helped me with questions / planning / suggestions before the trip and was just really easy to work with.
As for the house..... it was perfect and super clean! Plenty of beds and rooms for everyone to sleep.... Hot tub was hot / clean and they provided simple instructions to keep it that way during our entire stay.
Best part of the house is the 3rd floor living space & kitchen which connects to a huge deck with insanely beautiful views of the valley and ridgeline on the other side. VRBO doesn't lie either, great chef's kitchen.... large gas stove top, 2 dishwashers and an enormous island to serve food and drinks from.... Kitchen is also well stocked with sharp knives and a ton of cookware etc. Marilyn also keeps a good amount of cooking necessities in the house such as spices, oils, honey etc.! And don't forget the huge gas grill and smoker....
Long story short.... they have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable! Any directions / instructions are clear and readily available. If anything might go wrong with the property while you are there, I am 100% confident they would be all over it...

Our party of 8 stayed at this elegant modern house in Girdwood for 3 nights in July 2023. We were multi-generational: my wife and me; our daughter, her husband and their two girls; and our son and one of his girls. The kids' ages ranged from 4 to 7. We had driven down from Anchorage to celebrate a milestone birthday for my wife with dinner at the Seven Glaciers restaurant followed by cake and ice cream back at the house. We all had a wonderful time hanging out with family and hiking and visiting the Nordic Spa at the Alyeska Resort
The house is well located in a residential section of Girdwood, up a hill with magnificent mountain and ocean view, including from a spacious deck off the third floor. The third floor is also where the large gourmet kitchen and a 10-person capacity dining table are located, along with a comfortable sitting area.
We housed each family unit in a separate bedroom suite and were very comfortably accommodated. The host was easily reached by text and email throughout the booking process and during our stay.
Overall, this is a modern, well-equipped house in a beautiful location.

This house is nothing short of amazing. The views were spectacular, the location was great, and the amenities were amazing. We wish we could have stayed longer! We were in Girdwood for only a couple days before heading down to Seward for a wedding, and this was the perfect place to stay with our family. The hosts were extremely communicative and available whenever I had questions. Next time we are in town we will absolutely be staying again. Thanks for the amazing experience!

If you are considering this property for your vacation, do not hesitate…book it now! It is more beautiful than the photos depict and it is in a great location! Centrally located to enjoy many amazing activities…ATVing, glacier helicopter touring, ziplining, fishing and much more! The owner, Marilyn, makes check-in effortless and is extremely helpful! This home is beautiful and provides one of the best views in Girdwood. The kitchen is top notch and equipped with anything you may need. The hot tub on the second floor balcony is huge and well-maintained.

Our family celebrated our mother’s 85th birthday with a week-long trip to Alaska. Staying at this beautiful house was truly the icing on the cake. The house itself and its panoramic views are absolutely stunning, even when it’s raining. I’ve never stayed at a more immaculate or well-stocked rental. The kitchen had an array of quality cooking vessels, dishware and glassware, plus abundant towels and paper towels. You will not run out of fridge/freezer space here. Pick up some local Black Cup coffee beans in Anchorage and enjoy some delicious brew. The baths were equally well-stocked. Bedding, linens and towels all spotless and comfy. The hot tub was amazing with powerful jets and immaculate, like everything else. This house whispers comfort and class everywhere. Marilyn was highly responsive to any inquiries from the time of booking through the duration of our stay. She was most pleasant and helpful with local suggestions. The location was a perfect base for us to explore Seward, Palmer and Girdwood, where we especially enjoyed dinners at the Spoonline Bistro and a birthday finale at Seven Glaciers.

We were only to stay one night but would've loved to stay longer. This rental is gorgeous-the house itself and the area. It is very accurately depicted in the photos and description, but even better in person. Marilyn is the most gracious and helpful host. She responds immediately and is so kind to answer questions and give advice about the area. We will definitely stay there again.

Alyeska beauty
The mountains, the sea, the forestry, it’s breathtaking, and our host provided the perfect perch from which to enjoy all of it. This is the perfect home for a family or a small group of good friends. All bedrooms comfortable, clean and private. The living room and deck open to a magnificent vista. The gourmet kitchen invites you to enjoy a few meals at home. If you like to grill, there is a wonderful gas grill on the deck. We could not imagine staying anywhere else in Girdwood and enjoying it more.

There were 5 of us staying at the house with lots of comings and goings. Parking is a little tight and has to be managed strategically. The house is well equipped (but blow dryers in the bathrooms would be a welcome addition).

Had a great experience staying at this Girdwood home. Beautiful new house with breathtaking views in a quiet town. Had all the amenities we needed during our 3 day stay. Got many great recommendations from the host since this was our first trip to Alaska. Had an awesome first experience of anchorage. Would highly recommend to families or small groups looking for a quiet getaway.

It fit all 10 of us comfortably. We also had a wonderful host that really knows what she’s doing and takes great care of the property. Girdwood is also a great spot, with wonderful scenery, about 45 minutes to Whittier & 2 hrs to Seward on a beautiful drive. Look forward to booking again next time we’re in Girdwood.

And an hour away from from coopers landing where we went for fishing tours. Alpine air and dog sledding is very very worth it! And it’s only 7 mins from the cabin. The hot tub is very nice, and the large kitchen and table worked very well for the 10
