Well stocked, very clean and comfortable apartment in Regent Square. Very close proximity to family, restaurants and sites. Jon was extremely accessible and checked on us after a 1am check in due to our late flight. Proximity to Frick Park and plenty of activities. The apartment was perfect!

The property is exactly as advertised. Perfect spot next to a beautiful park and easily walkable restaurants and coffee shops.
As everyone else mentioned in other reviews, the property is stocked with just about anything you’d need. Seriously. It was incredible. I’ve never stayed in a m VRBO that was as stocked. Takes a ton of the stress away from traveling!

A modernized older house with an authentic Pittsburgh vibe that has the same qualities as the people within the neighborhood. From cabinets, refrigerator to the bar that was very well stocked in a neighborhood that was Pittsburgh through and through with its shops and park just across the street.

This property was exactly the home away from home we had been hoping for during our visit to Pittsburgh. Jon thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable and welcoming, and this was one of the most thoughtfully-appointed properties we’ve ever stayed in, perfect for a small family gathering or as a home base to explore. The location was convenient for getting around town and easily walkable to Frick Park (across the street) and neighborhood restaurants a short distance away. We will definitely look to stay again when we return to Pittsburgh, and we are grateful for the hospitality.

In love with this location before I even arrived, but even better in real life. Right across from beautiful Frick Park that has everything from hiking, nature, playgrounds, baseball diamonds, tennis courts and more, right in the middle of all the places we wanted to visit. Easy street parking. Great food/drinks at Dive Bar like 3 houses down (karaoke and trivia nights there too)!
Beyond all of that, I can't get enough of old houses: big wooden doors, original hardwood flooring, fancy doorknobs, high ceilings arches, etc. Stained Glass windows and 4 poster bed in main bedroom. Host clearly cares a LOT about every detail...vintage and antique furniture and decor, trinkets, art, treasures...makes you feel truly AT HOME, comfortable, and in need of nothing. FULL super stocked open bar...complete with a fridge full of little bottles of drinks and mixers, lots of them...seltzer water, ginger ale, orange juice, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, etc. There was cereal, milk, frozen entrees, crackers, organic bananas, assorted yogurts, pancake/waffle mix, eggs, even bacon. Condiments. Coffee. Every little kitchen gadget you might need.
Let's see...bathroom...big soft towels, plenty of them, stocked medicine cabinet with everything from Tylenol to Imodium AD to antibiotic ointment, q tips, bandaids, hair ties...everything! On top of that SUPER clear instructions on everything from the remote, to the door lock, to anything you might need to know. Host SUPER responsive, fast & friendly!

It is a home away from home. We stayed for 5 weeks as our daughter just have a baby. Our friends visited us and stayed for a weekend. Our other children also visited another time and stay at the house as well. Excellent location for walking to quite a few good restaurants, an excellent bakery! Right across the Frick Park where there are play grounds, tennis courts, baseball courts, pickle ball courts, extensive walking) running trails.Easy driving distance to every things that Pittsburgh has to offer. Jon is also very responsive to any inquiries that we had. Overall, you will not be disappointed to stay at Jon' s house.

I can’t say enough positive things about this property and host. The details are what made the place special: The kitchen was clean and neatly organized with virtually everything needed to cook and eat comfortably. There wasn’t a dishwasher, but that’s not a big deal for us. The fridge and pantry were stocked with essential items any weary traveler would be delighted to see after a long journey: Half & half for coffee, a few sodas, some cheese, crackers, wine, spices, cooking oil, sugar, etc. The bathroom medicine cabinet had spare toothpaste and other useful sundries. There was a very thorough reference handbook discussing every aspect of the property (lights, climate control, appliances), and offering great suggestions for the Pittsburgh area.
The apartment itself is small, but with a compelling charm: Tall ceilings, antique furniture, artwork, stained glass in the bedroom window, and other special touches contribute to its uniquely “homey” feel. All amenities were well-maintained, clean and functional. There was plenty of room in closets and drawers.
Something to be aware of is that there’s no dedicated parking. You’ll have to hunt for a space nearby, and the street this house is on can get super busy. Also, you can hear your upstairs neighbors walking around: It’s an old, creaky house.
It’s clear that careful thought and attention were given to making sure I had a comfortable stay, and that is appreciated. This is the benchmark all other hosts should aspire to! It was hands down the most welcome I’ve ever felt at any short-term vacation property.

We had a phenomenal stay at Jon's apartment - we were a family of four adults, and we've never had a more comfortable Vrbo experience. The location is super convenient for driving around Pittsburgh, and having Frick Park across the street was amazing. Great food and drink were within walking distance, and the kitchen was fully stocked when we arrived.
The apartment is spacious and so beautifully and thoughtfully decorated - it really did feel like home. Jon was so gracious and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was stress-free. We made great use of the card deck and the multiple chargers next to the beds. Jon also provided lots of food and sightseeing recommendations. We cannot recommend these accommodations enough, and couldn't stop raving to our friends about how much we loved our stay.

This apartment was perfect for our extended stay. It is conveniently close to the freeway, downtown, Oakland, and the was suburbs. There were coffee shops and restaurants within walking distance. And the amazing Frick Park is right across the street.
Jon called me the day we checked in and was available via text the entire stay. The fridge was stocked, there was coffee and a great bottle of wine for us! I plan on staying here the next time I'm in town.

Truly everything you need for your visit. Convenient, easy access, perfectly clean. The property owner is close by and very responsive. The antiques in the home are beautiful and useful. The kitchen is amazing. The park is just across the street, and is great for an afternoon walk. We even got to see the local pigs (yes, pigs!) out for a Saturday morning walk. I can hardly wait to visit again.

The apartment was beautifully decorated and comfortable. I had my grandchildren stay with me overnight a couple of nights...possible because of the second bedroom. Loved there was a dining room where my daughter and family could come and have dinner. The host provided some basic provisions that made it really seem like I was in my own home. The place is across from Frick Park which has a playground and walking paths. There is a really good ice cream shop and middle eastern restaurant just a few steps away. I will definitely stay next time I visit Pittsburgh.

We really enjoyed our stay at Jon's apartment. It was exactly what we needed: A place where I could invite my soon to be in-laws for a birthday party for my son and his fiancee. The dining table extended to include 14 people, and we had enough chairs for all. My mother particularly liked the old-world decor. She was ready to move in! Everything was clean and ready for us. Especially notable was the full refrigerator of breakfast and lunch foods to last us for the length of our stay. What a treat! And when it snowed overnight, Jon was out there bright and early shoveling the snow and putting out salt. Thanks again, Jon, for a great stay!

Great location, wonderful apartment within walking distance of some nice restaurants. Visited the Frick Museum which was close by during our stay. Parked on the side street as suggested which was not a far walk to the apartment and much safer than the main street. So thankful for the snacks. They were very much appreciated.

Comfort and convenience in a nice neighborhood.
The apartment is spacious and clean, with an "old school" feel, and has a modern kitchen and bathroom. Jon, our host lives nearby and was responsive to questions and stopped by after we checked in and when we requested assistance with the internet. We appreciated the many small touches, such as phone chargers by the bedside and other things that made it like home. Although it fronts a busy street, there is little noise and the sleeping rooms are in the back and quiet. Having the hosted bar and stocked refrigerator was really nice. We enjoyed hiking and biking in the large park right across the street. We'll definitely stay here again.

Best apartment in Pittsburgh!
Jon is an excellent host! We were visiting Pittsburgh to have an early thanksgiving with our son and his friends. We needed a place where we could cook and serve thanksgiving dinner for 6. Jon came over to check on us when we first arrived and showed us how to insert the leaves into the table. The kitchen is small in size but huge in amenities. We had everything we needed to cook our dinner, the only thing we bought was an aluminum roasting pan! The double oven was a great feature for us! This is also the absolutely most well appointed rental I have ever stayed at using home away. Jon has thought of everything! We will definitely stay there again next time we visit Pittsburgh! This place is 5 stars all the way!

If I could give it 6 stars, I would
Not much I can add to the previous stellar reviews. The apartment is clean, quiet, and better stocked than any HomeAway home I’ve ever seen. The neighborhood is terrific as well. The owner is friendly without being at all intrusive. This apartment may we’ll become my home away from home. Thank you!

Great experience.
Jon communicated well and had everything you could ever want in the house. Want a drink after the long drive to Pittsburgh? He's got it, along with cold mixers in the fridge. Need an extra towel, band-aid, or aspirin? He's got you covered. Coffee and breakfast fixin's? Yup. Even a deck of cards on the dining room table and a iPhone charger next to the bed.
The house was a great location to stay near our son who is going to CMU and lives in Squirrel Hill. We had breakfast a short walk from the house at Square (to die for!).
If you are in Pittsburgh and need a place to land for a couple of nights, I'd highly recommend this place.

Regent Square Charmer
We had a wonderful stay at Jon’s apartment! He has maintained all of the charm in this large apartment but has updated the kitchen and bath with all the modern amenities. He thoughtfully and generously stocks the fridge with everything you need to make a welcoming cocktail complete with snacks and all the fixings for a hearty breakfast. We took our morning coffee across the street to enjoy Frick Park! We hope Jon’s apartment is available for our next trip to Pittsburgh.
