We enjoyed our stay in Quebec city for Christmas as a family. The apartment was appropriately equipped and the listing was accurate.

Walking distance to Old City. We spent most of the time in the living room. A little noisy but charming place. We would stay there again.

Lovely property and a very helpful host..

This flat was a great option. Well located within walking distance of the big historic park, 1 block away, as well as withing walking distance of the historic city center. town. The first floor unit meant no stairs to deal with. It had a cute front outdoor area too with 2 chairs and small cafe table, plus a bench and flowers. We were only there briefly, so didn't get to use the kitchen much, but could have comfortably stayed there for much longer. Nina went out of her way to work with our baggage for our early arrival. I would definately recomment it.

Everything was terrific. The apartment is charming and comfortable. The owner is quick to communicate and location was close to many attractions. Great stay.

Within walking distance to everything, this 2 bedroom suite fit our group well. It is quaint, keeping the old style of decor. Lots of room to accommodate a family. It is equipped sufficiently so you can make a simple meal if you choose not to dine at one if the many restaurants within a block.

Great location, comfortable property

Wonderful old house in a great location. Enjoyed walks on the plains of Abraham and historical old Quebec city. Brought my schooldays history to life and wadsi special to share it with our two granddaughters!
5.0
The location was great - just steps to a whole variety of restaurants, parks, bakeries, museums, etc. Proximity to Old Quebec City was great, just a short walk down the street. Parking was easy and convenient. The kitchen was a little limited with space and cooking implements but we were able to make do. The beds were comfortable.

Very clean, convenient location within walking distance of old city. Close to restaurants and pubs. Charming neighborhood. Responsive service.

The property location is AWESOME close to everything. Enjoyed our stay.

The reviews misrepresented the property. It is a 19th century apartment which could have been a beautiful place, were it kept up and maintained properly. It needs a lot of work. However the location really is great.
5.0
Beyond the easy walk to restaurants, shops and Old Quebec City, this location also delivers a delightful, authentic sense of place. The host Nina is warm, welcoming and responsive. Parking is convenient and navigating to and from the property is easy, especially if taking day trips to surrounding points of interest like St Anne de Beaupre cathedral and Montmorency Falls. I enthusiastically recommend this property to anyone who enjoys a taste of living like a local and experiencing all the charms of Quebec City.

We loved everything! The owner is great to work with and the house is so cute in the perfect location!

Overall , a great place to stay.

The apartment that we rented in Quebec was fantastic! It was clean and spacious and very close to anything we wanted to walk to. The proprietors provided pretty much anything we needed and even though it was very hot outside, it was cool inside both because of the air conditioning and also because it’s in an old stone home. Having parking available in the back of the building was extremely convenient. Others have noted that the living room was dark, but this problem could easily be addressed by adding some standing lamps. Nina was very responsive to questions.

The apartment was very charming. The location and ease of getting to different areas was great. The plains of Abraham park very close and many good restaurants near by. Only reason for my four star rating was a very loud group above us one night. Loved the ambiance of apartment and Quebec City.

Great location, charming old house so greatful our apartment was on the ground floor
5.0
The apartment was what we expected and the location was convenient. The only downside was that the apartment is on the ground floor and quite dark and moody. It was great for us, especially on the 90 degree days when it stayed nice and cool, but if you're sensitive to light deprivation it might not be for you. The old city was much more touristy than it was the last time we were there 30 years ago (cruise ships - ugh), but we enjoyed exploring Rue Cartier (turn left out of the apartment) where there were many restaurants, two great grocery stores and a liquor store - where the locals go to eat and shop!

Very nice surroundings, close to the old city of Quebec. Very clean, and refreshing. Suited our company of 4 well.

The property was well located for walking the city. It was clean, roomy, and had the amenities as described. The host was welcoming. We would definitely choose it again when we return.
5.0
The apartment was lovely. One bedroom is very small but worked just fine for us. An extra couple of comfy chairs in the living area would be helpful, but what is there is very comfy. The location was perfect. Walked to restaurants, to the old city. Would love to come back in the warm weather.

We were in the ground floor of a Victorian townhouse, just half a block from many excellent restaurants and two blocks from the main gate of the carnival( also just a few more blocks from Chateau Frontenac). The heat works well, considering that the weather was subzero. The prettiest part of the apartment was the bathroom, but the front parlor has some nice antique furniture. The mattresses were comfortable. The parking is just a few meters away behind the house and is well worth while in a city where the snow plows are larger than some houses. There was cutlery and dishes and microwave and stove for warming foods. It’s a very small kitchen if you intended to really cook dinner.

Our stay at Grande Allee was awesome! It is ideally located to walk to the old part of Quebec City or to day trip to skiing at Mont Sainte Anne and Le massif and tubing at Valcartier. It is so close to so many awesome Boulangeries, amazing restaurants and just great sights in Quebec City at Christmas time. Nina was a great host and really helped us with a booking issue (our fault; not the property Owner). We will definitely return when we come back next Christmas!

The property was unique. A walkable distance to all the things you want to see in Old Quebec City. The property was fairly clean - not exceptional. The amenities are there but there were some disappointments: a bit musty smelling, limited electrical plug ins, a bit in need of some renovations, a few cobwebs, the furniture was a bit sparse - if you want to relax together - limited seating in the living area. The check in process was easy and the host was nice. It definitely served the purpose and had some of the "old style".

For us, the apartment was perfect in every respect except one: the sitting room was very dark for 3 reasons: 1) the apartment faces north; 2) the room is paneled with very dark wood 3) the only lighting is an overhead neon light which gives a harsh light. We chose gloom instead. Would strongly recommend painting the walls and wood a light colour, even white; and replacing the overhead lighting with table and/or floor lamps.

We loved our stay here. 2 couples for 2 nights after a cruise. Plenty of space to hang out & a lot of storage (drawers, etc.) for our things. Loved the fireplace. Property manager very responsive. Easy walk to Old Town & huge park. Plenty to see & do. 2 tips: If you have a group with a lot of luggage, book your taxi the day before. It was hard to find a large taxi on Sunday morning at 7:30 (we used Alfred Taxi - they were awesome). Don't eat at the Taverne on next block. Sangria was great, but food was very bad! Thanks for a great stay!

Nina was an excellent host who was readily available to meet our questions and needs. The location was perfect and in the centre of everything in Quebec City. Place is along a busy street with noise during the night, but it did not affect our comfort and sleep at all. The binder with dining options, excursions, and other information was highly informative and a great resource. Wonderful location. Wonderful place. Wonderful host. All made for a wonderful getaway! Thanks Nina...Merci!

Great location. Enjoyed daily walks in the neighbourhood and to reach the sites. Unfortunately, guests above lacked consideration re noise level.

My son and I traveled to Old Quebec City for the 2nd time to attend a music event. The accommodations were in an excellent location, clean, safe, walkable to everywhere! We were close to Venues, restaurants, site seeing! Just wonderful!! Would recommend to anyone! Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

The place was very clean, simply furnished. Comfortable beds. The walls are very thin though which made for some very light sleeping. I ended up moving to the hotel next door. Great location. Very good restaurants and bars in the near vicinity.

Really loved the apartment. The location was terrific - very close to Old Quebec but also near an adorable neighborhood with a market & great restaurant choices. The apartment had an ‘old world’ feeling in the best possible way and Nina was super accommodating and helpful.
We will be back!
Thank you!

Great experience, located very close to everything! We walked a lot! To the Fine Arts Museum, all of Old Quebec, the Ferry, restaurants, the Plains of Abraham, Museums and the Chateau Frontenac. A short drive (15 min) also got us to the Mosaiculture gardens and Montmorency Falls.
The weather was hot hot hot, each night we were able to cool down, refresh and plan for the next day in the Victorian ambiance of the Frontenac Suite.
merci Nina

There are no views from the street level apartment to enjoy but I was very happy with the convenience of the location next to Battlefield Park and walking distance to the old city within the walls.

Character suite in a terrific neighborhood
Unique street-level apartment in a heritage building - a bit quirky, but given the age of the property, nothing that you couldn’t live with.
Manager was very attentive. Parking was was convenient and included. Terrific location - easy walking distance to all attractions. Next to a huge park and many restaurants
