About this house rental
Osprey House is one of the oldest large-acreage properties in Trinidad Bay. This brings unparalleled seclusion and privacy, while still being less than five minutes from restaurants and the local market. Enjoy being surrounded by nature, sheltered from prying eyes.
Osprey House is a lovely, well-appointed three bedroom and three bath home. It is fully stocked with all the amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
When entering the property through a private gate, you will initially be welcomed by a peaceful, zen garden as you make your way to the front door.
The large living room is great for family gatherings. This common space is complete with 42' flat screen TV, DVD/CD, Wi-Fi and cable, as well as an ipod docking station. The owner's unique art and furniture adds character throughout the home.
The kitchen has granite countertops and stainless appliances throughout. There are two ovens - including one convection oven - as well as all the kitchen gadgets and cooking necessities you may need. If you decide to take the cooking outside, there are both a propane and traditional charcoal grills for your convenience.
Each bedroom is furnished with a queen size bed and has its own bathroom. The two larger bedrooms each boast exceptional ocean views, and the third bedroom is eclectically decorated for the inner child in us all.
The deck and hot tub both make for a wonderful place to relax and take in the serenity of the coast. Appreciate complete privacy while seeming to be perched on the edge of the world.
There are two short trails located at the back of the property. One of these leads to Osprey’s private beach where you can look for agates and sunbathe. The other trail takes you to the Trinidad town center and all its unique shops, restaurants, and pier.
One aspect that can not be overstated about Osprey House is the complete privacy you will experience during your stay. Unlike most homes in the area, the property is not located on a main street or in a crowded neighborhood. Once you have entered through the private gate, you needn’t worry about the ‘outside world’ - the large property offers plenty of secure parking, as well as shelter from the curious gazes of people passing by.

This home was fabulous! Upon arrival we felt like we were the only ones in Trinidad! Very private and comfortable.if you're looking for a place that is private, clean, comfortable, has a spectacular view, restful, look no further! The kitchen is the best equipped I've seen in our VRBO experiences. Everything you need and more. The hot tub was great overlooking the bay. The hike down to the private beach is a little challenging but definitely doable even for a 70 year old! We did a lot of day trips during our stay such as Fern Canyon and Gold Bluffs Beach which I would highly recommend. We made our reservations in advance. If you're adventurous you might like going to Humboldt Redwood State Park by way of a backroad, Mattole Rd out of Ferndale. Be prepared for the most amazing sights along this drive but also rough roads. The Osprey House is the best! We highly recommend this place for mutigenerational families or just couples such as us.

Our family loved staying at the Osprey House. The views from the deck were absolutely breathtaking. We were lucky enough to see seals and so many different birds. The house was very clean and homey. Stocked with everything you might need. We will definitely come back.

Beds were comfortable and house was great! Beaches were beautiful and low tide is full of sea creatures and neat finds. Getting to the beaches is a little steep and strenuous, but definitely worth it for the view from the deck.
