The location of this rental was excellent. We went both north and south and found this location to be perfectly in the middle. It was close to grocery and ice cream! The beach location was awesome - cross the berm and you’re on the beach. The house had enough room for all of us (we didn’t use all of the bedrooms. It was clean and had all of the cookware required. The pool and hot tub were great. The grandkids and adults loved it - just steps from the beach. The ability to rinse your feet before coming into the pool area surely kept the sand minimal. The tropical storm was a bit scary on the last evening with no power but the power company was right on it and resolved within a few hours. Overall we had a wonderful fall week!

We had a lovely time at this property. The location is excellent, beach access is great, and the pool and hot tub were well-maintained. The kitchen was fairly well-stocked in terms of cooking utensils which was a great surprise for a beach house. Only two items to call out: First, the house was not as clean as I would have hoped (some pretzels on the living room floor from previous guests and one shower in pretty rough shape) but it wasn't a deal-breaker. We were able to check in an hour early, which made the lighter clean more acceptable. Second, the back deck is very rough and one of the children in our party got a splinter. It looks like the wood around the pool was replaced but none of the other back decking, including stairs and balconies. Overall, this was a great house to have several young families in - very comfortable and convenient.

Overall we had a great stay! House size was perfect for our group- loved the 5 King bedrooms with their own bathrooms. The 2 pyramid bunk rooms were ideal as well. Pool and hot tub were in great condition and a welcome respite after a day on the beach. We notified maintenance about several items- raised nails on decking, leftover tent frame at end of walk to beach needing removal, and an unsightly stain in the toilet (which turned out to be result of hard water); excellent maintenance service though understandably due to these being lower priority issues, it did take a couple days before they made it to the house.In the negative side, the kitchen was quite disorganized with pots, pans, lids, cutting boards, utensils in multiple different cabinets. Also there were only 3 wine glasses for this large house. Aside from this, we could rate the house 5 Star for meeting our needs and being as described.

the overall experience was wonderful, we were 9 friends from several different locations. overall great location nicely decorated, needs some updates, there were several problems at the rental, most of which were not addressed. no spectrum tv access, tvs in bedrooms- no access. broken screen door, ice maker not working, missing fixtures in bathrooms. windows that did not open, screens with more holes than screen.

Tough to beat beachfront property in Outer Banks, this property was great and served the needs of our family. Large dining area and kitchen allowed us to eat in every night. Only thing to point out is that some of the kitchen / utensils were very dirty so we decided to re-wash, but other than that, the place was clean and we were happy to stay there. We would be back!

Renter beware, this property is not in good condition, had to call because railing on third level was falling apart , they came and put in some nails so the kids wouldn’t fall through , but most the wood was rotting , so if someone fell against it it would probably fall down. The don’t come clean the pool or hot tub at all during the entire week, so it gets very disgusting.. The hot tub doesn’t seem to have working filtration or chemical management. Porch roofing kept falling down , big slabs of vinyl we had to walk around.It was rainy half the time we were there, one of the bedrooms leaks So when you are sleeping if it’s raining it will drip right on your head , we notified them, but they said that it was just because it was a heavy rain, however two nights later it happened again.Steps to the beach are all rotting and broken , trip hazard and splinter hazardThey decorate with old plastic plants that have layers of grime on them.This is one of the worst and most expensive rentals we’ve ever stayed in.If I were you I’d keep looking , we saw many rentals there that looked much better taken care of.

We’ve booked this house for several years, my husband and I got married on the beach right behind the house. The only concerns we had were the deck! There are several nails that are up, the banisters are very wobbly, the deck shook really bad and there were boards sticking up on the ramp out to the beach as well as on the steps to go down to the beach one step was split length wise and barely hanging on, someone is going to step on that the wrong way and fall down those steps. The house is just as I remembered with all the essentials just really need to fix the deck and the section walking to the beach.

Family Trip
We’ve booked this house for several years, my husband and I got married on the beach right behind the house. The only concerns we had were the deck! There are several nails that are up, the banisters are very wobbly, the deck shook really bad and there were boards sticking up on the ramp out to the beach as well as on the steps to go down to the beach one step was split length wise and barely hanging on, someone is going to step on that the wrong way and fall down those steps. The house is just as I remembered with all the essentials just really need to fix the deck and the section walking to the beach.

Overall, pretty good experience. Beautiful location on the beach. Nice pool and hot tub. Nice open floor plan. Great to have 2 refrigerators. Easy to clean. So nice to have fresh sheets already on the beds. Check in and out was easy. And, they let us check in an hour early without any hassle. Most bathrooms need more towel racks. I really like Beach Realty. They are professional and timely.

We had a few bumps while staying in this hous early in the wk. The 1st day (Sat) we called the realty co. Because the (kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were not cleaned). Also, the downstairs bedroom could not be used because of the foul odor inside the bedroom (cleaning lady requested carpets be cleaned prior to our arrival). They came back out to do the job again and then we had a altercation with the pool guy because requested a cash payment to clean the sand out of the pool. The realty co and owner did what they could but wished we did not have to go thru this while on vacation. This was the first time we've used this realty co we have used sun realty before and didn't have issues like this. The house was spacious for our families and enjoyed the amenities. Thanks for taking care of our issues and we hope to be back in OBX next year.

Overall, this was a fantastic house. It had everything we wanted, including a pool and hot tub and views of the beach.Unfortunately, we had a couple issues upon arrival. There were NO sheets for any of the king size beds. I had to call to have them delivered. The containers for dirty towels and sheets from the previous guests were still sitting in the bins in the garage and the person I spoke to made me go through them to make sure none of the containers had clean sheets in them. It was kind of gross. Also, the grill was filthy; there were clam shells still sitting on the grill, assuming from the previous guests. One of the guests in my group spent a couple hours cleaning the grill up to make it suitable for use. The drip pan also disintegrated while we were there. And, we ran out of propane on the first full day. I thought I had read somewhere that the rental agency would deliver us whatever we needed, but when I called to have propane delivered, they told me I had to go get it and they would reimburse me. A huge inconvenience. And finally, some of the chairs around the kitchen table were sticky, again assuming from the previous guests.A couple other complaints we had were that some of the doors/locks seem warped and are hard to open (especially the second floor walk out to the deck overlooking the beach) and that we had to call for additional chlorine for the pool and hot tub mid-week.The biggest issue is actually hazardous. Algae is growing on the second and first floor decks. The decks both get very wet when the hot tub is in use and becomes very slippery. One of the guests in our group fell as a result. These should probably be bleached and scrubbed at least once a month to reduce this issue.Other than that, the house is in a great location, far enough from the main road (Croatan Hwy), but close enough to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, and entertainment. We would stay here again.

This property needs some TLC from its owners. The outside stairs coming up to the front door are very rickety. Several of the beds need new frames, only one side of the toaster worked, for the size of the home, more outdoor furniture is needed. Fire extinguishers need to be replaced - the grill was left so dirty that we thought we may need to put out a fire because of the flare-ups. One extinguisher was completely empty because someone else must have encountered same problem. The steps leading down to the beach from the walkway are STEEP. Overall the house is in a great location and we enjoyed the pool and beach.

My family stayed in this house 3 years ago and could not believe the condition the house was in when we arrived this trip. It is obvious the owners have not put any money or time in it which is sad due to the great location of the house. The ground level decking was so covered in what we called slime and was very slippery. I'm pretty sure it has never been power washed. We paid $400.00 for the pool to be heated and only had heat 3.5 of the days we were there. The pool company was great and came out the day after I sent over a fix it slip only to find out there wasn't enough water in the pool. A problem I could have easily corrected day one.

It was wonderful. So nicely furnished and rooms were so spacious. Only 2 things we recommend: 1) the gas grill did not work - no propane - should be fixed; and 2) the WIFI signal was very spotty and weak. Many times we couldn't connect when we wanted to and that was frustrated. The owner should get another router to boost the signal. Other than that, it was perfect. We will probably rent this home again next summer. It would also be really nice if you would allow renters to pick up keys earlier in the day - or switch to a secure code entry system - so there's no need to drive all the way back up to MP 2.5 in Saturday traffic....

Our week June 3-10 2017 was nothing but wonderful. We started with a wedding on Sunday and 23 of us stayed for the week. Our group ranged in age from 8 to 88 and everyone was satisfied. Plenty of space for privacy and quiet time escapes as well as plenty of opportunity for connection and lively fun.

The Vacation was great. Weather was fantastic!Beach was fantastic and having a home right on the beach topped it off.Only thing was the owners need to do some repairs once in a while. Two of the doors going to the main outside decks are in need of major overhauls. They both get stuck shut due to falling apart frames and also swollen from moisture. Hot tub needs to be repaired or replaced only one jet worked. Out of the three houses we have rented down there this one was nice but would have been nicer with some outside beach toys this was the only home that so far did not supply this type of stuff.Also not really infant friendly as far as being able to gate off the stairs. Also need better WIFI this trip cost me big time in overages because WIFI was not reliable.

We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for the 20 of us! Lots of room. Enjoyed being right on the beach and also having the pool right there. Would go back to the same house! Nothing really big but my Only complaints are the ice makers didn't work in both refrigerators and the driveway needs some repair.

The location of the house was perfect, access to the beach was great. The inside of the house was good. Nice space for large groups to congregate. The layout of the house was also good, having a master bed room on the third floor and additional masters on the second floor. It was very comfortable for five couples. The outside of the house needs lots of work! There are stair cases that go from ground level to the third (main) floor that were unsafe in my opinion. Loose boards, nails popping and very shaky. Did not use them and used the inside stair case instead. The upper deck had very loose railings and several of the spindles were loose or not connected on the bottom. Needless to say we were very careful not to lean on the railings.
The agency was very good to deal with during booking time and even earlier in the day of our arrival. We were under the impression that we could get into the house at 4PM. This “impression” was from my discussions with the agency on several occasions. I even called, as directed by agency, as soon as we got into town at 1PM , to see if they could get the house ready earlier. They said they would do their best. I realize that we could have paid for an earlier arrival when we booked. In any case at 6pm the cleaning people finally arrived and we were allowed to bring our luggage and refrigerator stuff in to the kitchen area at 6:30pm. The cleaning people were there until 8;30pm and they never really cleaned everything. They were tired and so were we. They left and we did the rest. They were very nice but exhausted having worked several hours that day.
In summary the exterior (decks and surrounding area clean-up) need work! The agency needs to do a better job of getting the house ready by the latest 6PM as stated in the contract. Again I would not rent that place again.

We stayed at Serenity in Nags Head with two other families. We had 14 people total. The house was bigger than we needed, but we liked having the extra room. The house was very convenient to the beach!! The pool was great, although we wish we would have paid to get it heated! It was a little colder than we thought it would be! The hot tub was a nice way to warm up after swimming. There was some wear and tear, but that is to be expected in any rental home! The house smelled clean as we walked in, but we did have to wipe down the coffee table/end tables/kitchen counters. There were plenty of pots and pans, however there is no "extras". It would have been nice to have a spice rack so we didn't have to buy spices. Overall, we had a great time. The views were spectacular! The views of the sunrise was amazing!

I’ll start with the positives that the place is in a great location and so close to the beach and the Main floor accommodated our large group comfortably, which was great. Unfortunately the house is a bit rundown and was not clean when we arrived so we ended up cleaning on our own and we had some issues throughout the week that we discovered during our stay (broken patio chair and picnic table, the front deck/stairs feel like it’s about to fall apart, the washing machine sounds possessed, there are no hooks in any of the bathrooms, etc). I the ended had a great vacation but we probably wouldn’t stay here again next year.

The house was definitely big enough to accommodate our family. It's great location right on the ocean. Some negatives would be It's outdated with lights and ceiling fans that some were dirty and others wobley. The washing machine has to be replaced. It sounded like the hase was falling apart when going through spin cycle. Also the whole decking around pool and stairs with hand rail definitely needs to be replaced. Its all warped and weathered, alot of nails showing and got couple of people's feet. The wood treads in front of house really bad ..almost fell down stairs and some drywall ceiling repairs needed where you can see tapes lines coming apart in living room. some cable boxes didn't work.. Tvs should be converted to smart lcds..And should have had an updated stereo..nobody uses ipods any more. I know it sounds like I'm complaining alot but if you spend over $16,000 for a week, you expect more for money and yes the pictures doesn't show this until your there.Besides that..house was very clean

The location was perfect, on the beach, short walk to ice cream, etc. The house was fine, very spacious but needs to be cleaned and needs general maintenance. The pool was not cleaned before we got there or during our stay. It wasn’t disgusting but not a great first impression to have sand in the bottom of the pool when you arrive. The decks could use updating/cleaning, a couple spindles were loose on the railings and the deck was very slippery, a little power washing would probably help. The fans and ac vents are disgusting, and there was sand all over one of the bed footboards. We needed at least 10 lightbulbs replaced, which was done very quickly by a very friendly maintenance guy. There were other small issues like a broken shower, leaking toilet, broken freezer handle...none deal breakers but all of the small things add up, a walk through the house to fix the small things and do a thorough cleaning would make this house much better! I would recommend this house because of the space and the location but would warn about the cleanliness of it.
