The house was beautiful and perfect for our girls trip. The fireplace was lovely. The addition of a pool table for entertainment was great. The kitchen amenities was wonderful and more than expected. There was a lovely lady who came to clean each morning and did a fantastic job. The rooms where cozy and clean. The patio overlooking the bush was breathtaking and we saw so much wildlife (hippo, zebra, giraffe etc). We got to watch the rugby on the TV (BIG PLUS). The owner called me the day before to make sure everything was sorted and to make sure i was aware of the traffic situation which was lovely. Overall we had a very relaxing stay.
The wifi was not working downstairs, and even after making it known to the manager, it was not sorted out. It was a little hard to communicate with the manager as she did not respond to whatsapps quickly or at all (we requested knowledge of the fire ban and the wifi issue). However, when we called, she did answer but still it was not sorted.
I also think an added touch could have been electric blankets on the bed OR just extra blankets in general because it gets pretty cold in winter.
We have small cars and it was a struggled on the roads to the house (however, that is our fault and none of the venue - just a warning). Again, not the owners fault, but because of the stop and go's it took us around 40 minutes to get to the main gate of Mabalingwe for our activities. Which was frustrating indeed.
These are not deal breakers though.

Very great location among the mountains. Had a visit on the first day just on our door without driving far. Kudos always around the lodge. Enjoyed the private boma and hot tub. We even asked for late check-out and it was granted without any hassle. Damage deposit paid back the same day. My family enjoyed the place and we will return. We were there for only 2 nights 24 to 26 July 2026. Keep it up

Loved the space and the amenities of the house. Beautiful location and view. Perfect for a large family. We also had a fabulous private game drive with Leo!
The property is lacking a lot of kitchen utensils. No spatula, dishwasher was very difficult to open, no pantry at all to store your food.

Everything was amazing, pool table a bonus.
Staff was dropped off before checkout and started cleaning while we were still in the house.
