The best beach view. Apartment a little cluttered and couch uncomfortable. Bed sleeps great and view is worth it. The toilet wasn't cleaned good when we first arrived but everything else was clean.

I was booked for two nights immediately after hurricane Idalia passed through. Staff on site and at the RVA line led me to believe everything was great. It wasn't. I should have been allowed to reschedule and wasn't. I'm extremely upset about it!

Overall our trip was amazing. Saw dolphins and manatees each day. Weather was amazing. Unit was fine for our quick two night stay. Garbage was left in kitchen and had knats all in it. That wasnt pleasant but didnt ruin anything and property manager was very apologetic and offered to buy us breakfast.

It’s the first time we stayed in this unit, we’ve stayed at SS many many times, great place. It reads 4 can sleep in the unit but it will accommodate only 3 people. It has a king size bed and a futon -almost twin size. A couple cannot sleep in this futon. It has 2 rattan swing chairs which occupy most of the living room. I understand the ringling bros theme but a lighter color decor would be a better choice.

Small but comfortable. Bed was comfortable and clean. AC was turned down and cool and room was very clean upon arrival. Ground clean. Beach accessories available and convenient. Shuffle board and putt putt were nice and accessories available for all. Pool was clean and accommodating.
Cons..ceilings are low. Hit hands on ceiling fan several times taking off shirt. Couch futon definitely WOULD NOT be comfortable to sleep on. Sliding door hard to open and close due to rust I’m assuming. Fridge seems older and rusted in surface areas but worked perfectly fine.

The view was amazing! I loved walking in the mornings to living room. The property itself needs some “work”. The center table and the night tables were dusty. When you shower it had a must smell. The Ringling decor did not flow throughout the room. Yet, overall experience for three days/ two nights was good

We had a great stay at Silver Sands. The room was very clean and ready early. Beautiful private resort beach with chairs on the beach and available umbrellas if desired. Location is in a Quiter area. We prefer the quiet side of the island. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Only complaint is the paper towels and toliet paper providing is so cheap and thin you need to use way more than you would have with a higher quality product. We actually just bought our own. Over all we do highly reccomend Silver Sands and plan on staying again

Enjoyed Silver Sands, location, view, kitchen,front office, pool all great. as other guests have mentioned, the swinging chairs are uncomfortable and in the way. The couch is uncomfortable(luckily we were never inside)

The property is older but the location on the second floor with a tremendous view of the pool and Gulf makes this unique. The unit could use some updating with a newer couch and the basket chairs are a bit hard to get up from. Again, the view overcomes any shortfalls. Also,Margaret the Manager was marvelous.

Great condo, 2nd floor unit. We were there for the weekend to attend a wedding and this unit was fine for what we needed. The balcony is screened, overlooking the pool and the Gulf, which is only a few steps away. We had a problem with a slow shower drain, and let the property manager (who was very friendly) know when we checked out.

This condo is in an excellent, well-run resort, on a beautiful, uncrowded beach. The view is gorgeous from the large balcony, and the bed is extremely comfortable with lovely bedding. We enjoyed the huge pool, and beautiful grounds. The ice maker didn't work, but when I inquired about an ice tray at the front office, Margaret dashed out and came back with a bag of ice for us. Wow! She was top-notch! Unfortunately, we didn't find the furniture in the unit comfortable, at all. We had to use folding camp chairs that we keep in the car.

The property was exactly as we expected it to be! Wonderful!! The view of the pool and the Gulf of Mexico from our balcony was amazing! My husband and I were celebrating our 30th anniversary and enjoyed beautiful 85 degree weather and delicious food every day! We saw beautiful sunsets from the quiet spot on the beach! The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. I loved the swinging chairs in the living room! We did have two minor complaints. The room had a slight musty smell and when we ran water in the kitchen sink there was a bad odor but the water tasted fine. We think the smell came up from the drain. Despite those minors issues we will definitely plan another stay here in the future!

Fortunately this immediate area received very little damage from the hurricane.Would return to this location on Florida west coast. Found several good restaurants. Unit needs attention. Needs new bed linens. There were no beach towels. Very small bathroom mirror. Unit is dark and needs more lighting. Kitchen needs upgraded dishes, utensils, cookware. Ice maker didn’t work and there were no ice trays to make ice. Needs a comfort chair. Pool was closed during the first 2 days of our visit. We were there for a family visit and we were very happy with that.

The view from the unit was beautiful. The beach was outstanding. I was disappointed in the bed. It actually dipped in the middle. The mattress should be replaced. It should have been replaced a long time ago along with the bedding. The decor was not my taste but it's not my place, so to each his own. The location sells this spot.

The staff on property were outstanding and very helpful but when I addressed my concerns about my room (252) I felt like I was given the brush off. The description stated room had a king size bed with sleeper sofa that sleeps 4. The room had a futon that slept 1 so I had to buy the air mattress n order to accommodate 2 teenagers. Staff understood my concerns but in the end I was given a business card and told to contact the property manager. Still haven’t reached him. 1 bad experience out of the last 5 years shouldt sway me but Unfortunately I believe we will be staying elsewhere next year.

we had a great experience on Long Boat and our stay at the Silver Sands. Would definitely stay here again. The only small downside was our unit could have been updated a little more. For a beach setting, it was a dark dreary room decor. The mattress was very old and uncomfortable. I would recommend this resort to others. It was like having your own private beach.

We loved this unit from the moment we walked in. The kitchen had all the amenities for preparing our own meals. (Publix is very close by). The refrigerator has an ice maker. The bathroom is tiny with a very small accent mirror, which my wife and I had to duck down for. The view was great, overlooking the pool and beach. (A very short walk) Plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas. The sunsets were amazing! Disappointed that the bedroom had no mirror. The mattress was very squeaky and soft. Closet could use more hangers. We had an issue with the toilet early on, but Ryen was very prompt in resolving it. If you are looking for a quiet spot to unwind and chill, this is the perfect place!

Just what we needed
This property was great for a quick weekend getaway. Only issue was that about as soon as we got there my 3 year old shattered the glass on the living room coffee table. It was a loose sheet of non-tempered glass that he barely leaned on and it broke. Of course we feel responsible, but I consider this a safety issue with it not being secured or tempered. Otherwise the place was filled with cute decor that my kids loved! Pool and beach access were great. Would rent again and just remove the glass upon arrival.

This was our second year in a row staying at Silver Sands Resort in Longboat Key, Florida. Just a different unit (252). We love this place and it's accommodations. The pool is heated and the beach is only a few steps away. The people in the office to the cleaning crew are very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Ryne. Our unit was perfect for our needs and had a great view of the pool and Gulf.
