Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.
Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #242 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.
Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.

Enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect! Best place to stay if you don’t want the crowds and steps to the pool and short walk to the beach. Having the beach loungers and umbrellas were so nice! The kitchen area and living room were nice. Bed was comfortable, but pillows could be updated. Not much storage in the bathroom but we made it work. We were there for the beach so it didn’t break our weekend. Loved the area!

Great location just steps from the beach. Nice room for a little family weekend trip. The beach was beautiful & lots to do around the area. Definitely would love to come back!

Nice vacation rental with pool and beach access. Needs some maintenance though - fridge is rusted, microwave doesn’t rotate, dish washer and bath fan sound like freight trains. Back door to lanai doesn’t lock so have to walk around. Shower faucet handle getting ready to fall off. Various dings and scratches. Bed was squeaky.
