We had an amazing time with our family. 16 People, Ages ranged from 70 to 9! Very nice set-up. Game room/Bar was great! We never felt like there was never enough room for all of us! Short walk to beach and short drive to all other surrounding beach towns. Highly Recommended!

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay this past weekend at Captain's Quarters. The game room in particular was a great spot to watch college football and enjoy some pool + ping pong. Highly recommend to anyone vacationing to Destin.

I stayed here with 7 of my adult nieces. The house had everything we needed - including coffee if we needed it. (I bought pods for the Keurig but to my surprise, there was a tub of ground coffee in the cupboard.) The bedrooms were clean and spacious, and so were the common areas. The rooms with the bunkbeds were warmer than the rest of the house. Otherwise, no complaints. Would definitely stay again!

Clean, roomy, beachy....everything we wanted for our vacation. Convenient to the beach with an easy walk. We LOVED the game room, which was soundproof from the rest of the house and a perfect evening retreat after putting the babies to bed. Clean pool, lots of beach stuff, big yard for games and dogs. Bring some of your own big skillets or pans (there was only one 9x13) if you intend to cook big meals. They only had big pots. The appliances were all very nice in the kitchen and the laundry room. If you have babies that need their own dark rooms, a small pack 'n play will just fit in some of the bathrooms. Definitely recommend this house!

Everything you need minus beach towels and a proper beach wagon. Commercial ice maker was a bonus x1000. Lawn furniture needs attention as a few are inoperable but we simply moved them out of the way.

We loved the house. The nautical theme was cute. The rooms were large. The game room was exceptional. The neighborhood was nice and fairly quiet. Loved the private beach!

This is a perfect house for a large group! The game room is amazing and so is the large kitchen/ family room. One of the trundle beds can not be used which causes us to use the couch bed some

This was a wonderful house. We spent most of our time in the game room. Office managers were very responsive if we needed anything. Was a bit colder and didn’t get to use our heated pool… cold front came through and apparently was the coldest it’s been in over 30 years! Not their fault however.

Booking this house was easy. Daniel with 850 Vacations was super nice. Didn't need to call management during our stay. The house is great. Very clean and equip. Plenty of towels. For those traveling light: There are small shampoos, conditioners, body wash, and lotion in all the bathrooms. There are about 12 beach chairs, 7 umbrella's, 2 beach wagons, sand toys, 2 boogie boards, and some pool floats in the closet. Will know better next time, so I don't have to travel with my beach chairs and umbrella's. There are 2 refrigerators and 1 wine frig. Very helpful for all our food and drinks. Close to so much. We ate at AJ's and McGuire's, so I recommend those places. Short walk to the private beach. Beautiful white sand and clear gulf water. Game room was a blast, had so much fun in there. Paid extra to heat the pool, which was at 90 degrees - super nice. Beds were comfortable (you don't always get that out of a rental house). The only thing was that 2 of the bedrooms got super hot over night, even with the air conditioner on. (Vents were open). Would definitely stay there again!!!!

There was plenty of space in the house to not feel crowded. The game room was a huge hit with my family. The kids (and adults) absolutely loved the arcade game. Our maintenance/Information man was friendly and very helpful with any questions we had. The beach was just a short walk away. Highly recommend this house.

Great property for a family reunion. Close proximity to the beach and the large game room were pluses. The home is in excellent condition with plenty of space for everyone. Staff were exceptionally attentive to our needs including a few questions regarding the home and a couple of minor maintenance items. Only suggestions for the owners is to provide a few recycle bins inside, additional paper products and garbage bags to get renters through their rental period. Overall, our experience was great and I would rent it again if the need arises.

Pros: great location, very short walk to the beach. We loved that this house was on a private stretch of the beach, so it wasn’t overly crowded, even during the peak hours of the day. The game room was incredible, and probably our favorite part of the house. The bedrooms were comfortable, and the house is well equipped for families with kids. Nice kitchen, nice gas grill, and nice TV’s throughout the house. The pool wasn’t huge by any means, but it was plenty big for our group of 15. The maintenance guy was awesome, he texted thought out the week and was extremely responsive. And I can’t forget the ice maker. Right by the front door of the house, one of the biggest and best ice makers I’ve ever seen!!
Cons: we had issues with Palmetto bugs in the house during the early portion of the week. Yes, it’s Florida and those bugs are everywhere, but we saw one or two too many, so I texted the maintenance guy, and he sent a pest control service out the next day to re spray the house. After he sprayed, we may have only seen one more bug the rest of the week. We noticed a little mold in the refrigerator. It didn’t gross us out or anything, but we noticed it, so I’m noting it here. The listing mentioned hair dryers, so we didn’t bring one, but our bathroom didn’t have one, so we shared with another family member. Not a big deal. Other reviewers have noted the inconvenience of having to exit the house and go all the way around to get in the back to the pool. There is no direct access from any room in the house to the pool. It wasn’t a big deal for our group, but if you have elderly people in your group, I could see that being a problem! Finally, the sister property of this house is directly next door, which wasn’t a big deal, unless both houses’ groups were in their pools at the same time. There is a tall fence separating the 2 pool areas, but when big groups from both house are out there at the same time, it’s pretty loud! The folks in that other house were blasting their music, but since they were so close, we were forced to turn our speaker off and just listen to whatever they were playing. Fortunately for us, they played some decent music, but if you want a private, quiet pool experience, you may not get it!
Overall, we enjoyed the week and recommend this house for families!

Ellen was the lady I arranged our trip with. She was very organized and so easy to talk to. Daniel was always pleasant and showed up quickly when we needed him. It's the perfect place for a large family.

A few moms took down a group of recently graduated boys and the home was perfect for all of us. Great party room, great location and wonderful service from maintenance. Would love to return someday.

Location was good. Check in easy. Game room wonderful. Clean. Everything you need to cook. Two large refrigerators and commercial ice maker. All good. Two recommendations: closets in the bedrooms and a door from the house directly to the pool. Other than that, great place.

Had 18 people stay for a bachelorette/ bachelor party. Everything was really nice! The bar/garage area was so nice to have for everybody to hang out. Definitely recommend!

We were a gathering of four generations, aged 4months to 80 years, 12 adults and 10 children. The property worked out perfectly for us. The kitchen and family room are large enough that we could gather and eat at the same time. The large porches with rocking chairs were a favorite place to sit. The house was clean and in good repair, with plenty of towels and a well-stocked kitchen. Some of our favorite things were:

Overall, a great place to make some wonderful memories!

Fantastic property in a great location. Not only is the property less than a 5 minute walk to the beach, it was also great for accomodating my full family (14 people). And the game room is so much fun... it really was one of the highlights of our stay!
