This would be a much better value for larger groups - it felt like a very overpriced choice for our family of four. But the location is very central, and it served our needs for the days we were in town. Hosts were very responsive and tried very hard to address our concerns, especially regarding the very late regular check-in time.
They use an app for registration that requires you to upload every single guest's passport information and then extract a portrait photo from that upload -- and while that is standard practice in Japan, this was an absolutely horrible app that could not be easily used with my (latest edition!) iPhone Pro. I spent ages trying to get all four guests' information and profile pictures uploaded and accepted by the app - and that is the only way for you to eventually get the code that will let you open the door. It was a very frustrating experience that required multiple messages and back and forth with the host.
The other big drawback is the complete lack of European/US style seating options in the house -- which is tricky for folks who have trouble sitting cross-legged for long times for meals or lounging around.
Finally, I really hope they consider adjusting the incredibly late regular check-in time of 5pm to something more regular (3-4pm)

The location was good and it was close to transport
There was a nice collection of children's toys.
The registration process was very complicated - matching a selfie with your passport photo.
It was dark and rainy when we arrived after a long flight and, having been through a lengthy 3 page pre-registration for all 6 of us that included the uploading of passport details and the manipulation of the passport photo, a code would have been helpful.
There was no western style furniture which was hard for 2 elderly people. The futons were thin and it was like old day camping with your hip on the hard ground. No chair to sit on. One of our group had to stand to eat.
The instructions about the property had a rude and hectoring.
