Lindos Breeze Beach Hotel

Ogromny kompleks z bardzo sympatycznymi pracownikami. Jedzenie smaczne.

Nära till en bra strand och tillgång till ett större hotells faciliteter, däribland en frukostbuffé med mängder av val (gå dit tidigt för att slippa köer) och jättebra a la carte middagar. Vi hade köpt all inclusive till ett bra pris, vilket var prisvärt.

AC:n på vårt rum krånglade vilket gjorde rummet väldigt varmt. Personalen var mycket förstående och erbjöd oss att sova i ett annat rum, innan de hann byta AC-aggregatet. Det är sånt som händer och vi hade nog bara otur.

We stayed in the breeze hotel which meant we could also use all the facilities of the much larger imperial hotel. While it was nice we could use all these facilities, we would really recommend staying in the smaller breeze hotel. All the staff in the hotel were great and went out of their ways to support us, and we much preferred the breeze pool to any of the other pools (better sun beds, quick bar service and overall much quieter and more relaxed vibe). The facilities you can make use of at the imperial are good; the breeze hotel manager helped us book the a la carte restaurants upon arrival which we really loved (the steak and Greek one are very good especially!), we would also highly recommend the crepes and souvlakis you can get at the pool sides.

We only noted minor points of improvement: the rooms are slightly outdated and on our first night our room was full of mosquitos - we never encountered this again later during our stay so perhaps one of the previous guests left the doors open or so at night. The hotel also has a very clear policy around not reservering sun beds, but we unfortunately did notice a bit of this happening at the pool without any monitoring of it, which was unfortunate as sometimes actually all the sun beds were in use.

The beach was one of the highlights: lovely calm sea, although it is very rocky and beach shoes are strongly recommended. The Breeze rooms are relatively close to the sea despite the overall resort being enormous. The Breeze staff were excellent. Housekeeping kept our room very tidy, water bottles were replenished generously, and on our departure day they arranged a room for us to shower in during the afternoon after checking out, which was very much appreciated. Manager Aris was consistently helpful and visible around the hotel and provided some nice little surprises during our stay. Restaurant reservations through reception also worked very well, and we were able to book several days ahead at check-in. Of the à la carte restaurants, Meze was easily our favorite, with excellent starters and mains. Ammon Seafood was also very good, although portions were quite small.

It is difficult to understand why Lindos Breeze and Lindos Imperial are presented as separate hotels. You sleep at Breeze, but the restaurants, buffet, bars, beach, pools and most facilities are at Imperial. Therefore, the Imperial experience inevitably makes up a large part of any review of Breeze. The cocktails were particularly disappointing. They are pre-mixed by a machine and barely resembled what the cocktails were supposed to taste like. The main buffet is huge and offers plenty of choice, but the atmosphere can feel more like a busy food court. Some food was lukewarm, meat was frequently overcooked and dry, and little stood out. It could also get very chaotic, particularly around the desserts. There were children frequently running around and touching buffet food, and sometimes playing with balls around the bar tables. Cleanliness was inconsistent too, with supposedly clean plates occasionally still having visible residue. We also received chicken strips from the main pool bar with one piece still raw inside, which we unfortunately noticed only after eating most of it. Our room was very basic and felt closer to a 3-star standard than a premium hotel. The shower was narrow, particularly for someone tall, and soundproofing was poor. Our room had a locked connecting door to the neighboring room, through which we could even see their light. On several nights after 23:00 we had to ask the neighbors to keep the noise down. We did not request another room because the poor soundproofing is fundamentally a structural issue and another room would not guarantee quieter neighbors. Breeze guests also cannot use the Lindos Imperial Wi-Fi, despite spending most of their time at Imperial, so Wi-Fi is effectively available only in a relatively small part of the resort. Beach towels have to be collected from the spa, which does not open until 10:00. We wanted to swim at 09:00 on our first morning and therefore had to return later.
