The Garden cabin is on a long driveway across from the Post Office in Dunvegan so it's a great location; groceries, a bakery, bookstore/coffee shop & gas station all just a few minutes walk away. (But the long drive made it feel remote). We could walk to Dunvegan Castle, also close by. The location was convenient for exploring all of the peninsulas on the Isle of Skye!
The Garden cabin was just perfect for our 6 night stay. Easy parking. The cabin was spotless. The kitchen had all I needed to cook our meals (salt, pepper, olive oil, tea, milk and some delicious homemade cookies from Jennie were provided but bring everything else you need) The bed was comfortable; the wifi was fast; the bathroom was spacious with plentiful fluffy towels, a huge shower, strong water pressure, plenty of hot water and a heated towel rack. The laundry facilities (washer and dryer) were so helpful to have when on a road trip. The cabin was cozy with a table and chairs for our meals and a loveseat. Also, blackout blinds and curtains. Oh, and walking sticks for guest use. Jennie even put together a book of detailed suggestions for exploring the island and she put wildflowers on the table. Truly a wonderful stay and a thoughtful host!

The property was cosy and so comfortable. The view fantastic! The bed was wonderful, and the block out curtains made for the best sleep! The coffee and tea selection was excellent and the best we’ve had on our UK holiday. Jennie and Mike were wonderful. They weren’t in our face but very happy to chat and make wonderful suggestions, and they were above and beyond accomodating!! I wanted to move permanently into their getaway.
There is a large steep staircase to the unit we stayed in. Would not work for people who struggle with mobility to get luggage up there. And after walking to the top of The Man of Storr, my legs were VERY tired going up and down them :).

The thoughtfulness of the host, the excellent quality of the accommodation and the location was excellent with lovely bars, restaurants, shops and fuel on the doorstep.
Peaceful and lovely views. Able to park outside the loft apartment. Good washing facilities for those on the road.
