About this house rental
Located in Galveston Island, this attractive house for $557 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. This beautiful 2,650 sq ft home is perfect for fishing, all day family fun, and watching the sunset over the bay. Bay Vista's unique position faces Galveston Bay at the opening of the canal to the bay giving it water frontage views and plenty of space for fishing, and swimming. There is a shaded deck off the main living space that extends out over the boat slip for relaxing in the sun. Please note the boat slip is available to use, but there is no access to the electronic lift. There is no access to the private Terramar Beach Boat Launch The shaded downstairs features an outside bar that connects to an extra room with a fridge, storage, and a half bath. Multiple wooden swings and lots of seating makes it great for those long days of kids playing in the yard and BBQing. The luxury of outside living is a plus at this one of a kind bay home. PLEASE NOTE: Cargo lift is NOT available for guest use. Bay Vista is pet-friendly with a maximum of 2 dogs allowed with a combined weight limit of 50 lbs. There is an additional $100 non-refundable fee per pet. Under no circumstances are puppies under one (1) year of age allowed on the premises. Yard is fenced in from the road and neighbors, but not fenced on the water side. Please Note: During the summer months this home has a 4 night minimum. Ground level: Outside accessible bar; Half bath; Outside shower; Fenced in yard; No garage access for vehicles; Parking for 4 vehicles. Main level: Large open living room with deck access and bay views, Dining and kitchen open with breakfast bar for extra seating; Wine bar; Hall closet with Washer & Dryer; Shared hall bathroom with shower/tub combo; Bedroom with a King bed; Master Suite with a King bed, TV, private bathroom with shower/tub combo. Large partially covered deck with seating. Second level: Bedroom with 2 queen beds; Shared hall bathroom with shower/tub combo; Bedroom with 2 sets of pyramid bunks. All TV's come with subscriptions to Netflix and FUBO for local channels and sports. Location: 1 miles to the Beach; 18.5 miles to 61st Street; 21.4 miles to 25th and Strand; 17.5 miles to Moody Gardens and Schlitterbahn Waterpark. This home will work great with Luna Mar. Note: Although provided, WiFi access/Cable/Dish service can be unreliable here on the West End of Galveston Island. This house is exactly as described. Spacious with lots of amenities. My whole family came and beautiful memories were made here. The downstairs area is very well laid out with lots of seating, downstairs fridge and bathroom a plus. The fishing area allowed for several people to fish at the same time. We never found a need to leave the house during our stay as we had everything we needed at the house. The kitchen is very well stocked with cooking and eating utensils. Everyone had such a great time and we will definitely be back.

Our stay at Bay Vista was absolutely wonderful. The location was amazing with beautiful bay views. The house was clean, well organized and stocked with all the essentials and then some. I would definitely rent it again!

Photos are very accurate. This is a very spacious property. We caught enough fish there for a family of 12 fish fry! Flounders were great! The place was clean and the property management was thorough and kept in touch. The pool was extremely cloudy and unfiltered, however it was closed the next day so I assume they were having some filter issues.

Property is very clean and the kitchen has everything you can possibly need. We loved the space downstairs and the views were amazing! The fishing was fantastic. We caught sand and speckled trout every night so the kids were very happy. (We brought our own coolers for bait and fish so just be prepared to bring those.)The house itself had very comfortable beds and lots of space inside. We had a wonderful time!

The fishing, the fishing, the fishing was incredible.
The Texas Slam was caught so many times we had to resort to catch and release.

This property was great for our family. We had 13 people stay at this house and it was very accommodating. The property had everything we needed. It rained part of the time we were there and there is a covered area with a bar that was great. The water views were amazing as well as the sunsets. Definitely would rent again.

Beautiful home on a fantastic piece of property! Plenty of space and pictures didn’t do it justice. Rental/check-in/check-out was a breeze. Kitchen was very well stocked with QUALITY pots, pans, coffee maker etc etc. A/C will get plenty cold quickly. Downstairs bar area was excellent with separate frig and freezer and perfect view of the bay and little beach area across the canal. We will be coming back….I only hope it stays on the rental market!

This property was amazing, the house is beautiful and had everything we could have asked for to make our trip to Galveston perfect. Gary Greene vacation rentals was great to work with! I can’t say enough good things about this rental. Will definitely be looking to stay at this property again when in Galveston.

Had a great stay at Bay Vista. This is our second time to book this place as we liked the location and my family likes to fish. The dishwasher soap dispenser does not open though, so the soap was still solid after the cycle was done. Had to repeat the wash and placed the soap on the upper door rack, which worked. For this I gave it a 4 star. Otherwise, I'd still recommend this place. There was 14 of us. 4 families of my siblings. We had great bonding moments during our Thanksgiving week. My son caught a Gar fish and that was probably the highlight of the day as far as the kids go. We did release the Gar. Just hope that they would install more lights for night fishing.

What a great place and location. Check in was easy and the communication was great! We had a great time in Galveston. Bay Vista was perfect for our group. It was well organized and we loved the location. Every year at this time our group rents a place and so far this was this best. Will definitely be back.

Although we had a cold stay with white skies and rain, it was such a beautiful spot. The house is huge and very well laid out. The enclosed balcony, views and the large kitchen were highlights. My hubby caught a large trout the first night off the dock which fed us for a few nights! We also rented a kayak through Ricks beach rental and paid the extra for drop off and pick up. One of our favorite stays we’ve had in Galveston.

Loved the sunrise & sunsets. The fishing off the property was awesome. Plenty of room for people to maneuver around. We had a three year old & 6 month triplets along with 5 adults in our group. Will definitely book again.
The only downside was no dumb waiter to help bring things up to the house level.

This house was really great for our family to enjoy a week on the west end of Galveston Island. The house is beautiful and well equipped and the location is excellent for enjoying all the activities of fishing, boating, kayaking, and crabbing. The beach is a 5 minute drive away. The management company was excellent. Communication with them was clear and prompt, the house was very clean when we arrived, and everything was in good working order. This is a house that we will rent again.

Family Vacation!
The property was better than advertised! I’ve rented quite a few canal houses in Galveston but this one is at the top! Plenty of room for everyone. Great fishing! Huge patio and just across the street from the beach.

Best Galveston family rental we've made; fun for us grandparents, our kids, and their kids. Too little time (2 nights) for all the features this home provides. Great fishing from the shore! We'll be back, hopefully for a longer stay next time.

We had a good experience overall, but there was a leak in the master bath (that I’m sure will be promptly fixed), and the green night fishing lights on the deck did not work. The house was beautiful and very clean.

Great house great location, everything perfect but no key for boat launch area. Previous guest list key. I would have paid the hundred bucks to replace the key but didn’t know in advance. Love the place will rent again 😀

Bay Vista exceeded our expectations! It was a beautiful property in the perfect location. We had 14 people in our group and there was plenty of space for us. The highlight for my boys was catching a 5 foot alligator gar right of the deck! I highly recommend Bay Vista!

The kitchen was well equipped. My family all saw each other again on Thanksgiving. My brother in law reported to me that he had insect bites (bed bugs) after he slept in the bunkbed room, I.e. bed closest to the window. He showed me his insect bites. It looked awful. You may need to do some pest control or replace the mattresses in the bunk Bed room. If it wasn’t for this, I would’ve given it a 4-5 star.
