About this cabin rental
Nestled in Campbell River, this lovely cabin for $166 per night is a great option for your next trip. NO CLEANING FEE! Near new cabin situated on 2.3 acres at the head of Whalebone Cove in the beautiful Copper Bluff area of Quadra Island. The cabin sits on a mossy bluff above our home, overlooking Discovery Passage and the mountains beyond Campbell River. Looking westward it's hard to find a nicer sunset on Quadra Island. If the large front windows don't get you close enough, then just sit out on the deck and enjoy the show. The property has 240 feet of waterfront and a private dock. Tie up your boat, launch your kayak or just bring your fishing rod and enjoy the day. Our dock is equipped with power and fresh water. Take in the ever changing variety of marine life on the water including whales, dolphins, otters, seals and birds. Every day there is an interesting array of marine traffic including cruise ships from May to September. You will love the surrounding moss covered bluffs and steep cliffs that make this area unique. We are close to some of the best hiking and biking trails on Quadra and a 15 minute drive to the Village Bay Lakes. We are comfortably separated from Quadra's busier areas and still close enough to slip in for a beer at the pub or to shop for your next meal with a quick 12 minute drive to Heriot Bay. Whalebone Cove Cabin is ideal for a most peaceful getaway. It has everything you need and then some. A fully stocked kitchen including the basic spices, coffee & tea, a very comfortable queen sized bed, a walk in shower, handmade natural soap, and a washer and dryer. We also provide a barbeque on the deck in case you have the urge to grill. And just to make sure you stay connected with the world, we have not forgotten a large screen TV and included the internet. We are a 4 season cabin. You can enjoy the great outdoors during the warmer months or cozy up by the fireplace during the cooler months. Quadra Island is a great place to be at any time of the year.

We loved staying at the Whalebone Cove Cabin. Even in the rain the cabin was bright, cheery and a sheer pleasure to be in! Quiet and tranquil with a very comfortable and cozy bed.

The cabin was perfect - nestled in the woods with a lovely view of the water. It was so tastefully decorated and had everything you could possibly need. Laurie and Ed were very welcoming and we will certainly stay here again. We highly recommend it.

Everything promised delivered and more. The property is immaculate with a view that is totally enjoyable. We watched orcas and river barges with various cruise ships lit up at night traversing the narrows at ebb tide. The hosts are charming, informative and respect your privacy. The activities on the island are varied and wonderful. We took our morning coffee and croissants to Rebecca Spit and watched a huge pod of humpbacks playing across the straight. We look forward to returning in the future.

i enjoyed my two rainy and grey days at Whalebone. the space is clean, bright and comfortable. I enjoyed the quiet and cozy surroundings. the perfect space to watch the water traffic go by, tidal changes and listen to the birds and frogs. lovely winding roads from town and nice short walk to the beach or private dock . i’d def return!

This property is off the beaten path, which was perfect for our getaway. The cabin is gorgeous, as is the view. We shopped for food and then stayed in for the days that we were there. We will definitely be back when the weather is more conducive to exploring.

We had a lovely time at Whalebone. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed to make deluxe meals and it was such a godsend to have a in-cabin washer and dryer given the wet slushy weather. The beds and furniture were very comfortable and new and the fire was amazing! I would highly recommend this spacious private oceanfront cabin, especially during off season! We will definitely be back; thank you to our fabulous and highly responsive host Laurie!

Just everything was beyond perfection. Flawlessly clean and remarkably beautiful. The most important highly educated and elegant hosts. We are profoundly grateful to them how they treat us and how all was ready. If you look for the paradise, just close your eyes and go to this hidden gem. It is a cozy, immaculate, compact cabin with all the modern conveniences and great view. It is close to hiking trails and only a 12 minute drive to Rebecca Spit on the other side of the island.

Our hosts and the cabin was fabulous. Every detail of the cabin was well thought out. We also enjoyed viewing from their property lots of wild life including deer , an immature eagle, dolphins, orcas, very large starfish, and sea otters. We explored the Island from end to end which we really enjoyed. I would and have already recommended the cabin to others.

Beautiful cabin, beautiful location. Ed and Laurie were gracious hosts who were nearby if we needed information. We saw humpback whales and deer from our deck. Would highly recommend for folk needing a relaxing get-away.

Of all the islands we have visited, Quadra Island is by far the most beautiful and pristine. Wonderful places to eat and Rebecca Spit, Surge Narrows etc. are incredible. Whalebone Cove is the best cabin we have ever rented. Beautifully decorated, all the amenities excellent quality, great loft bedroom. 5 star accommodation.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at Whalebone Cove Cabin. The location is convenient and the view from the cabin is beautiful. Laurie and Ed were very warm and welcoming and went out of their way to answer our questions and give us recommendations for our trip. They even let us use their private dock to hold our small wedding ceremony! Thank you for the wonderful experience and beautiful memories!

Sent request to book and was answered within 15 minutes! Lovely little house. Saw whales from living room couch. Measuring cups and spoons in kitchen and just about every other gadget a cook could need. Laurie and Ed were available if needed. Lovely relaxing vacation. Lots and lots of hikes on Quadra as well.

We chose this place for its location and amenities. It didn't disappoint. Admittedly, I thought the home was right on the water but it wasn't. It really was back behind another property but it didn't matter. The view was still wonderful. The home was spotless. I loved the shower area, the gas fireplace, the gas stove, the cozy living room and the loft. The artwork was beautiful. The kitchen appliances and pots were in excellent condition. I especially liked walking down to the dock and enjoying my morning coffee. There I spotted an otter relaxing on the dock next door, some chum flipping into the air. Laurie is very nice, easy to talk to, and an all-round Martha Stewart (in a nice way). No doubt about it, we will be back.
