Casa Mistela

We had a nice clear welcome message from John & Sonja. The room was very nice - large bathroom & bedroom. We lover the relaxing pool area & enjpoyed eating there as well as taking drinks from the honesty bar & enjoying them there. We will definitely look to stay here again when we are in the area. It is ideally located for the town with safe parkign near the well at the end of the road

Nothing we can think of

We were visiting my cousin who lives in nearby Denia but we did not wish to stay in Denia itself and chose this place as an ideal location, close but in rural away from the tourist populated areas of Denia. The rooms were excellent and comfortable and with parking available, and walking distance to the town centre. Breakfast was very good and served around the pool and the facilities, like the pool available and accessible at all times. Sonya and John, are Dutch and I, with my Dutch Indonesian heritage, found it good to be able to practice my Dutch with them. At the time of our stay it was the time of the year where they run with the bulls in Jalon, where the accommodation is located, so a bit of excitement with bulls etc riunning through the main streets of the town and of course an experience of a Spanish tradition at that time of year in the town. If you want to stay near Denia but not in Denia itself, amongst the rural and mountainous parts of the area, then we highly recommend Casa Mistela. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful boutique b & b with many authentic lovely features in the heart of Jalon. Very genial hosts, John and Sonja. The garden and swimming pool are an added bonus.

John and Sonja were excellent hosts and gave us helpful information and tips on places to eat and visit around Xalo. Room was spacious and clean and breakfast was good. Highly recommended.
