The owner, Tonia was very pleasant and accommodating. I arrived early and she allowed me to leave my stuff. When I came back, it was in my room. The proximity to the station and the town was good. I had no problems getting there via Google maps. It was about 5 to 7 minutes walk from the station. The room also came with mini toiletries and towels and my room had a fridge and a TV. Notable mention was the €5 euro breakfast. There was fresh fruit, yogurt, bread, crossaints, eggs and cereal to name a few. Everything one would need to start their day. This place was value for money and is very suitable for travellers on a budget. Thank you Tonia!!

I really enjoyed my stay at The Basement in Sorrento. The check-in was very easy, the place was clean and comfortable, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The location was also great and very convenient for exploring Sorrento. I would definitely stay here again!
One thing I didn’t particularly like was that, as it is a basement, it felt a little humid and there was a slight musty smell. However, I completely understand that this is expected to some extent in a basement with limited ventilation.

Location and Value for money
The smell of mould and humidity from the room sticking on everything in my luggage for the rest of the trip, however, I was aware about it before I chose this budget option. The room looks raggedy and needs a big revamp.

The staff was very nice and gave us a better room that was available. The breakfast had a lot of options. The bed was also confortable.
