The dishwasher smelled terrible and had standing water in it that I am not sure how long it had been there. The floors were dirty and the furniture was dusty. When you have to pay such a high cleaning fee, you expect to stay in a clean room. Will not stay in this unit again.

This year ,however, we experienced somewhat less than what we are used to at The Sandpiper . We found the unit needed a deep cleaning throughout and the furniture needed updating ,it looked good but it was obviously old and broken down. There was not a comfortable chair or couch there. It was in need of replacement. We are looking forward to another great year at The Sandpiper next year. Thank You , Dave Welch

When we arrived at the unit the inside temp was 86*F. The unit had not received a final inspection prior to our occupancy. (Never did) It was also noted that the 2nd bedroom lights were constantly going off & on. The management was very cooperative & sent a repairman. It was determined that the air conditioning thermostat was heavily corroded from old batteries & that the light fixture was touched activated (at the chain) Continuous vibration from the fan caused the light to go off & on. I then noticed that the refrigerator temp was reading 51*F & went as high as 60*F. Management then sent a repairman who determined that sometime with in a few days of our arrival that the freezer door had most probably been left open & this caused the malfunction. The living room area & the kitchen were not clean. I would imagine that an inspection may have determined that the unit was not ready for occupancy (maybe not). Management did give me a $100 refund; however since it took at least 8 hrs. for the air & refrigerator to work properly a full days refund would have been more in order.It is noted that the property next to ours had been burglarized by former cleaning employees of Bender. They were caught; however, security needs to be improved. Employee code changes (when they leave) may help. The staff were always friendly and did address my issues, but one would think that the unit should be completely ready & all items operational when one arrives. This was not our experience.

We had several instances where we needed to speak with the ladies in the rental office and we were always impressed with their professionalism, efficiency and friendliness. Light in main bath is coming loose. Ants in the master bed the first night but things happen and it was only ants, within a few hours Bender changed out the linens (maid left them in the bathroom so we bagged them up and maintenance sprayed Hotshot around the bed. Quiet condo, nice pool and great beach access. The only downside was the living room furniture is extremely uncomfortable. Would stay again. Have stayed in several and this one was one of the quieter condo's.
