The amenities were clean and well maintained, excellent proximity to the waterfront, old town, grocery stores and restaurants.
However, the true highlight for us was the hospitality. Branka was an absolutely wonderful host, and truly went out of her way to make us- and our 2-year old - feel welcome. She made our son feel so special and appreciated he would ask for her by name every morning! We would not hesitate to recommend Evala to anyone looking for an easy, warm base to explore Split.
Nothing, it was exactly what we were looking for.

Great location, close to the old town but quiet. Branca took good care of us and was a great hostess. The pool and hot tub were clean and very welcome in the hot weather.

Our host was lovely and welcoming on arrival - answering all our questions and helping us settle in with a nice cool drink!
The property had a lovely relaxing yet glamorous boutique feel to it and the pool was fantastic to find in a city property - a very welcome relief in the very hot weather we had.
The old town and palace is just a few minutes walk as is the sea front. We were able to walk from the airport transfer bus stop straight to the hotel in about 10 minutes too.
Communication was great throughout.

room good size; staff pleasant and welcoming; pool area nice
bed was not flat and was not acceptable, sleeping was hard; bathroom was not renovated to a good standard; air conditioning unit placed very strange so could not circulate air well in the room; ac very noisy; the biggest issue was the noise insulation of the room. it was very noisy at night and we were woken by other guests in the stairwell as the room connected directly to the stairwell
