Pestana Churchill Bay

Our room was lovely. Shower a good size, balcony very nice. A treat to hear the waves at night whilst going to sleep. The staff were wonderful - going above and beyond for you.

The property is in a perfect location for a quiet relaxing holiday. Plenty of quality restaurants and bars close by including the hotel restaurant which serves good quality food in the evening and breakfast. The hotel is decorated and furnished to high standards, lots of historical photos and quotes around the hotel and is very well maintained. The staff are friendly, welcoming and professional.

There wasn’t enough sun loungers around the rooftop pool during busy periods.

The staff were lovely. Helpful and attentive. Dinner was excellent, a good menu and well prepared food. The facilities were clean and well organised.

The air conditioning was sporadic at best and the ventilation only worked on one occasion. The alley at the rear of the property is noisy into the small hours. This left us juggling the street noise and suffocation. Breakfast was substandard. Shortages of basic items such as scrambled egg and croissants and cheap ingredients such as synthetic bacon and factory chipolatas.
