Master bedroom ( with newer Sealy Firm mattress) has new white beadboard furniture. Newer mattresses on second Queen and twin beds are firm and comfortable. BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS AND TOWELS. This home is the perfect place for a family looking to visit Chatham. Short distance from the beach. The home is roomy, clean and nicely laid out. Perfect for a family. Right near Rt 28, so a quick ride into town. Owner is very helpful with information and quick to answer any questions. We had a great vacation and highly recommend this home.

This home is in a great location on a private street in a quiet neighborhood of other beautiful homes. A short walk to the nearby Cockle Cove beach was a morning routine for us. The home was equipped with everything we needed. Don't overlook this home when looking to stay in Chatham!

This was our third season renting Barbara’s home and we truly love staying there. Every morning a few of us would jog to the beach and back. Its1.8 miles round trip. It’s such a pretty walk or run. Taylor pond is great if you have a paddle board. It’s a short walk. The bike trail is so fun. We biked to town almost every day. We really enjoy Dog Fish Taco which is super close. The house is perfect. It’s clean and laid out so kids can hang in the finished walk out basement and the adults can enjoy upstairs. The deck is fun to eat outside. Everyone enjoyed the outside shower. Oh and the beds - very comfortable. It’s a very easy place to vacation. So many great memories.

The house was very clean and the air conditioner worked great. The deck was great for morning coffee and evening wine. The neighborhood is lovely and very quiet. It is about a 15 minute walk to the beach and there is a cute shop on the way! The beds were comfortable and there were three bathrooms which was great. The owner Barbara was a perfect host from beginning to end. The town is also close and you have to get a burger at mom and pops. We had a really good time and hope to go back.

Perfect with a FANTASTIC host!
We had a wonderful stay at this home. It’s was clean, comfortable and in a great location. The outdoor deck was great for chilling out in the shade at the end of the day. It had everything we needed and then some. Our host, Barbara, was the best. She went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. We would definitely book this home again. Summer vacation
This is a great house! We loved our week here. It’s not a huge house but has plenty of space! The deck is private and big and provided a whole additional “living” space. My daughter was able to work (in her bathing suit and sunscreen!) all week on the deck with the strong wifi the house provides. The house was immaculate and had everything we could need. The beds are very comfortable, and that is a key criteria for us. The outdoor shower is great!
The location of the house is the best. It’s under a mile walk to the beach so our morning walks included walking down to Cockle Cove and back up past the house then around and down to Ridgevale (the next beach over) and back. It’s a wonderful, quiet neighborhood but with the easiest access to the Main Street (28) and around the corner from the Rail Trail. The house is about equidistant between downtown Chatham and Harwich Port, both of which have wonderful restaurants and shops, but most importantly amazing ice cream. The house is a short 20-25 minute drive to Nauset Beach in Orleans and the National Seashore Beaches up the coast which are phenomenal (buy the National Parks pass if you will go to one of those beaches 3 or more times - worth it!! Can buy the pass at the beach entrance - it’s good for a year!). It was only about 25 minutes to Dennis which also had a great beach and restaurants. (Go there for sunset!!)
Barbara is wonderful to work with and provides a wealth of information. She gave great, easy instructions all over the house and was extremely responsive to any questions I had.

This is the 2nd time we have stay here and we couldn't be happier. House met all our needs and the homeowner is a joy to work with. House was clean, fully stocked, and was in a great centralized location only minutes away from the beach. This is our favorite home away from home.

Great house and location
Barbara’s house was spacious, comfortable and clean, and she was very helpful and responsive. Our family of four had more than enough space and privacy, and everything we needed to make ourselves at home when we weren’t out enjoying the beaches and all of the other activists in the area. I appreciated the helpful instructions for appliances and other items, and the house was very well cared for. And, the location was perfect for us - a quiet street, about a 15 minute walk to Cockle Cove Beach, and a short drive into the center of Chatham (5-10 minutes) and also to the grocery store in Harwich. It is a great rental and we plan to stay again.

We had a really fun time ....
We had a wonderful time. Super clean and perfect for our needs. We love to paddle board and Taylor Pond is a short walk with a nice ramp to put our boards in the water. At night we would walk to Taylor Pond and go for a swim. Cockle Cove beach and Ridgevale are a short walk. Close to the bike trail so bring your bikes. We enjoyed going for a bike ride into town. A very comfortable house with the perfect layout for a family with kids. We were really lucky to have been able to rent this wonderful home.

Clean house. Owner has everything labeled - very helpful. Great space for grandparents and grandkids to play. Can’t walk to beach but can walk to ice cream. Deck is beautiful and yard is also fun.

Perfect Rental Property
What a great find! Centrally located, close to town and beaches. The house was clean, comfortable and spacious with a wonderful outside deck. The neighborhood was quiet and perfect for kids to ride their bikes around. Barbara was wonderful and checked in to make sure our stay was enjoyable. Looking forward to next year!

Clean and spacious house!
When you think of the Cape, tornados rarely come to mind, but on our stay we had one in the area! Barbara was simply phenomenal in her support and check ins during the process. A great family friendly neighborhood, and a nice house- plus the added benefit of a responsive and caring owner made for a memorable trip.

Wonderful July vacation!
This property is beautiful and accommodated our family perfectly. Barbara kept in touch with us from the beginning of the rental process to the time we were leaving in order to insure that we were satisfied. I highly recommend this lovely home to anyone who wants to stay in a quiet, beautiful family area close to Chatham Center, restaurants and shops.

Beautiful South Chatham Home
This is the 2nd time we've stayed in this home and we love it! It's in a great location near Cockle Cove and Ridgevale Beaches and a short drive to downtown Chatham. The house is very clean, tastefully and comfortably decorated, and had everything we needed for a fun vacation (beach chairs, umbrella, fully stocked kitchen etc). Our kids love having their own space in the finished basement with a bedroom, bathroom and T.V. to themselves. Barbara is very responsive and lovely to work with. This home will continue to be our first choice when we visit the Cape.

Absolutely fantastic!
We have been coming to the Cape for our vacations for over 34 years. This trip we had four generations (89 yrs. down to 3 yrs. - a total of seven) staying at this beautiful home in South Chatham. This is an area we know very well, so were "at home." This was our first time at this rental and would love to return, only thing is our family is expanding making it unlikely to work, at least for all of us.
The home was immaculate.......I do not think I've ever stayed in such a clean home! We entered from the side, which had one step up that worked well for my MIL, who uses a walker. Three of the bedrooms were on the first level which also made it easy for her. The living room was a lovely size for all of us to sit and talk at night.......the sofa's were very comfortable and the large chair was heaven......we "fought" over that. ;-D There really is wonderful space in this room.
The master bedroom had a walk-in shower with a bar to hold onto when entering and one inside, which made my MIL feel comfortable using. She slept in the twin bedroom, but we shared the master bath for showering with her. I prefer a tub which the main hall bath has so it worked out well.
The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows provided (we find pillows a real crap shoot in vacation homes!). There were AC units in the bedrooms which we needed only once or twice during our stay during the second week in June. (Our DIL is 8 months pregnant so she was feeling warm compared to the rest of us.)
Our daughter and granddaughter stayed in the lower level area, which was perfect for them as they could be up earlier than the rest - read books, or watch TV until we stirred upstairs. Many basement type rooms/units are not very pleasant, but that was not the case with this one. We did find the stairs down to this area quite steep. I had concerns since our daughter is seven months pregnant and our ggd doesn't like to go slow, but they were very careful and it was fine.
We used the outside deck for a few lunches, and sitting, but we were not home enough to take full advantage, nor was the windy weather on quite a few days a draw to have dinners outside. It would be lovely as the summer progresses.
Overall this house is a winner and Barbara is such a thorough hostess - checking in with us all along the way and while we were there. We have never had anyone pay much attention to us once we booked. She is as exceptional as is her home.

Great location and place
This is located close to Chatham. We had a wedding there and we had easy access to all of the events in town. The placoe is very nice and is reasonably priced. Everything about the stay was positive and the house had everything we needed. Barbara is a terrific host who cares about her customers. Couldn't have had a better experience.

Great house and area!!
We vacationed here with my three adult children and their two friends. It is a perfect set up for the kids to have privacy in the basement with a bedroom, full bath, and a large room with a big screen tv. The house has everything you need and it's very clean! The kitchen is large and we made great breakfasts every morning and ate at the kitchen table and/or the large deck. The living room is also large so we could all be together! It was great having three showers inside and another one outside! They also supplied beach chairs and an umbrella which was great since we couldn't bring ours since we didn't have enough room. The area is very nice and quiet and close to the quaint towns of Chatham and Harwich and many beaches! Barbara is great to work with and always available through emails and/or texts. She really seems to want you to have a great time too! We had a great time and loved staying here!

A Charming Comfortable South Chatham Home
I stayed at this house the second week of July with my daughter and her family. The house was very comfortable, clean and attractively furnished. It was in a lovely neighborhood with summer flowers everywhere. They even lined the driveway behind the house. Barbara, the owner, was very helpful when I was planning the visit. She patiently answered my questions about cooking utensils and supplies in the kitchen. When we were staying at the house, she was always available if I texted her with questions. I couldn't help but get the feeling that she wanted her guests to enjoy their visit to her home. My son-in-law and 8 year old grandson loved the TV room in the basement. It was their man cave. I liked the Weber grille so much that I'm considering buying one like it. Last, but not least, my daughter and granddaughter enjoyed the many channels and available sites on the living room TV. My daughter re-watched episodes from Game of Thrones to be ready for the new season. My 12 year old granddaughter turned to Netflix for episodes of Anne with an E. You might say this house was very comfortable for all of us.

Great house! Great area!
We stayed here the last week of June. The house was great and was supplied with all needs and more. Barbara provided beach chairs and umbrellas and other items that other renters do not provide. It was a little cool that week, but it's the Cape. We did get 5 days on the beach. We liked Ridgevale Beach since it is bigger and has access to the beach as well as a cove which was great for the kids. You can purchase a weeks parking pass for $75. At any of the Chatham beaches. It's $20 Per day so if you use the parking for the week you can save a little. The house was the best with plenty of space, both inside and out. Open the windows and you get great breezes or you have the ACs in each bedroom. There's plenty of parking. Barbara was great to work with. She got back to us quickly with answers and advice for the area. Chatham and stores are close by so you can't miss with this area.

Great house!
My family stayed here the first week of June. The owner was easy to get in touch with when we needed help with things in the house. It is a close drive to Chatham and all the sites. It is equipped better than any rental I've had....even great wine glasses! The exception is you'll have to rent your own linens...which I understand is usual for a cape cod rental.

Clean and Comfortable!
We rented this home for a girls getaway week. As some of us have food sensitivites, we cooked there a lot. The kitchen pots and pans, utensils, etc.. were some of the best we have seen in a vacation rental. There was even a new gas grill for us to use, and we took advantage of it. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty for the five of us. The house is in a private, wooded area --very nice location.
Barbara was super to work with! She answed our many questions, and went out of her way to get information on area attractions for us. She is a landlady like no other!
We would highly recommend this rental.
