Welcome to this sweet sanctuary overlooking Lopez Sound, neighboring islands, eagles, & ferries. While outside is magical, inside is furnished to perfection for upscale comfort and function. You will feel well cared for here, in your island sanctuary. It sits above the waterfront for lovely water views. A sizeable deck wraps the house on the waterside where you can enjoy a BBQ evening. On a misty night, you may choose to stay indoors, gathered around the glow of a wood stove. There is cable television - complete with all the movie channels for diversion, in the living room. There is a DVD player upstairs and high speed internet & WIFI. Also enjoy unlimited long distance telephone calls. Meal preparation is a joy in this kitchen equipped with an island, maple cabinets, granite counters, and stainless steel appliances. Buy your fresh veggies at the local farms. Recently remodeled, it is wonderfully fresh and new. Fully furnished. Winter Holidays: Catch the First Snow and see the Lighting of the Tree in town! It's lovely! The perfect place to stay on Lopez! All the gorgeous craftmanship and views of the water through the trees. Peaceful, restful lil gem! Thanks to a very communicative and responsive host Matt who clearly loves this island and gave us a lot of tips to explore and experience. However, it was hard to leave the beautiful deck! We hope to be back someday soon!

What a view! This little gem tucked down a windy road past sheep grazing in a field was the perfect place to stay while we were on Lopez to attend family wedding. You feel like you’re up in trees and The views through the windows overlooking the water and back deck were spectacular. Thanks for a nice stay

The Sunrise Cliff House provided us a comfortable home base and gorgeous islands and water views. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The wood stove with a see through door made our winter stay extra cozy. There’s lots of books and games in the house and a few classic DVD movies. Overall a very nice house for hanging out-and location for exploring the many island parks. Our Discover pass came in handy.

Absolutely wonderful spot--couldn't have wished for a better place. Comfortable, excellently equipped, clean, homey, charming, out of sight views, private, loads of books, intriguing art and mementoes, huge wrap around deck (and on top of it all: no Febreze or scented laundry/dryer sheet smells, usually so common and often a deal breaker for me). Check in was super easy--received a concise email a couple of days prior to arrival with all necessary info--and all worked as described. Very little required of us upon checkout. Just lovely. Will definitely be back.

Weve stayed at this property before and really like it. I consider it the best buy on the island. The view of Lopez Sound and Spencer spit and Frost, Blakely and Decatur islands is right out your window. It is located on the east side of the island, but is really about the center of the east side so it is minutes to all the other sights on the island. However, if you want access to the salt water, there is a private beach owned by the community. It is down a set of new steps (great improvement) recently installed. The rowboat is very sturdy but a bit on the heavy side for 2 people, but 3 handled it in and out of the water. Matts crab pots are better than mine (2 sturdy round ones that looked brand new and one Danielson fold-up type) but you need to bring your own buoys. (I was lazy and brought a trolling motor and battery to set pots). Im sometimes afraid to write reviews for my hidden secrets, but Matt is a great guy that was there on the island to assist if you couldnt take care of something.OH! Internet was 22.22 mbs download stream and 2.0 upload for any movie streaming you want to do or if you need it for work access while there. Thanks Matt.

My husband and I decided to visit the San Juan Islands during our Pacific NoWest trip. Matthew was very responsive and extremely helpful. The view is spectacular. House needs some basic cooking supplies but the view makes up for any of that. Lopez Island is very peaceful and quiet. Great place to relax and this house makes doing so very very easy. PS: the walk down to the beach is easy and quick. I highly recommend this home.
