About this cottage rental
Situated in Wellfleet, this lovely cottage for $600 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Sweeping 160-degree-wide views of the magnificent, ever-changing Atlantic Ocean are yours to enjoy from inside this charming, 5 year old year 4 season, year round cottage with its huge wrap around deck and screened in porch. From time to time you can see surfers, seals, hang gliders, and whales and passing ships. Want to relax at the cottage? There is the wrap around deck, screened in porch, lower level patio or pine shaded hammock to enjoy. Want to feel the sand between your toes? Walk 300 feet down to the ocean on a private path just outside your door to a private ocean beach. High on a knoll in the National Seashore, this cottage is located on Wellfleet’s ocean side in a quiet nook just off Ocean View Drive between Le Counts Hollow Beach and White Crest Beach. It has private parking. Only a few other cottages are in view. From the king master bedroom or twin guest room you can wake up to the sun rise and the surf rolling in and have your morning coffee on your deck or screened in porch. The open living room, dining room and kitchen area have sliding glass doors that open onto the deck and offer spectacular ocean views. A gas fireplace offers charm and warmth in the spring, fall, and winter. This is a two-bedroom, fully furnished cottage that sleeps 4-6. The first floor master bedroom has a king bed. There is a full bathroom with shower. In the walk-out lower level there is a bedroom with two twin beds, a separate full bathroom with tub/shower, a family room with a double bed futon for the occasional guest and a washer/drier. Almost every window has an ocean view. Also, this cottage has a dishwasher, outdoor shower, an outdoor gas grill, cable TV, gas fireplace and central heat and a window AC. Towels and sheets are NOT PROVIDED. NO pets allowed. NO smoking inside the cottage. Wellfleet’s freshwater ponds, restaurants, art galleries and other attractions are all just a few minutes away. Wellfleet is known as the Art Gallery town. There are wonderful restaurants to eat in that specialize in fresh seafood.There are tennis courts and a golf course. The National Sea Shore visitors’ center, Marconi center, and Audubon Wildlife center are popular attractions to visit. The bay and freshwater ponds are fun to swim in. One of the few drive in movie theaters in the USA is in Wellfleet as well as a fun flea market.

We celebrated a wonderful Thanksgiving at this cozy cottage. Views were amazing, kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to prepare a proper Thanksgiving, and cottage was clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed warming ourselves around the cozy gas stove. Check in was incredibly easy. We would love to return again and often.

We went here for our anniversary, and it was the perfect place for it. We had a complete rechage. The Colvins are always great and to top it off, we saw 32 whale spouts and one breach from the deck!

The house, deck, location, sound of the sea, quiet neighbors (except for someone's dog barking when left alone.) are all wonderful.
Things to improve:
Rip in screen door an access point for bugs.
Lower level bedroom lacks air flow, the fans did not create any. Humid and airless. Tough to sleep.
Spiders in the bathrooms, ants in the kitchen which seemed to hatch out on each new day.
Do we take these in stride because we are on a sand dune? Or because of the price for the week do we feel like we shouldnt have to do extermination duties a couple of times a day? I noticed mention of the screen door rip on a previous review. Shouldnt it have been repaired?

Absolutely loved our stay. The house is so welcoming and truly loved. We loved waking up to the sunrise and hearing the waves and wind at night. Truly a gem.

This was the most beautiful house we have ever rented, and we have rented quite a few, both on the Cape and elsewhere over the past thirty years. When we first pulled in the driveway, and then walked into the house, all we could say was "Wow!" and we said that many times. The weather was hot and humid during the week we rented, but not in our house, as the ocean breezes and great ceiling fans cooled everything off. There was an air conditioner in the master bedroom but we never had to use it. Absolutely beautiful deck and also a screened-in porch, both with fantastic ocean views. We had a wonderful time during our week there.

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. It was clean, fully stocked and easy to get to. The beach was gorgeous even though we had a few days of cooler, rainy weather. The only minor complaints we had were that the screen porch wasn't fully screened since there was no screen on one of the doors, and the living room furniture was not as comfortable as other rentals we've been in. But the view and the proximity to the ocean were spectacular and we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Beside providing a spectacular view on the ocean and a great observation point for birds, the cottage is very clean and comfortable and well-appointed with everything we needed. Just good to know for those visiting in winter, a lot of places (museums, restaurants, shops...) are closed off season. We hope to visit again in the future !

We thoroughly enjoyed our time relaxing at this beautiful property overlooking the ocean. The cottage was clean, comfortable and very well-appointed with everything we needed. Rest and relaxation in Wellfleet
We spent a week and had a wonderful time. We walked down to the beach every day and ate lunch at Macs Shack in Wellfleet most days as the menu is almost completely gluten free. The home is very well appointed and it was just what we needed to unwind and start the summer.

What a great quiet and peaceful place to stay! The clean and well-designed house with a see-through railing enabled an expansive ocean view from all the rooms. We had fun viewing the birds, boats, seals and incredible sunrises. All the amenities were covered: king-sized bed, new washer and dryer, enclosed porch, gas stove and overall fully-equipped kitchen. The location was perfect for visiting the Ocean Drive beaches including Newcomb, Cahoon, White Crest and Le Count. It was also an easy drive to Wellfleet Center.

A beautiful cottage with a great deck overlooking the Atlantic. The house was beautiful, well appointed, comfortable with a view of the Atlantic Ocean. We arrived during a wet Northeaster and had the chance to see the ocean roar to shore.

This place was "off the charts" perfect for us. Cozy and well appointed. But the show stopper is the location and views! It was the perfect antidote to being cooped up at home for the last 10 months. I wish we had stayed longer. lovely.

A Beautiful Jewel overlooking the Atlantic
We loved our stay! The house is clean, private, beautiful, within walking distance to the beach (as well as to two nearby beach parking lots) and a mile or so from one of the best little patisseries I've ever visited. Everything went seamlessly, and we are grateful to the owners for opening their house to us. Thank You!
