Nestled in Southampton, this attractive cottage for $184 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. In beautiful Southampton, Ontario, this 2+ bedroom four season cottage is just steps to the shores of Lake Huron at South Beach. The cottage is fully furnished including full kitchen, indoor/outdoor living and dining, patio table, BBQ, fire pit, air conditioning, laundry and wifi. Guests will need to bring their own linens and towels. Inside the cottage there is sleeping for 5 with the following features: Master Bedroom: queen bed 2nd Bedroom: double bed Living Room: sofa bed **Please note - the listing changes based on the season. During the summer months (June-September), the Bunkie is open (a separate structure in the backyard) which houses 4 bunk beds to make sleeping space for 4 additional guests. In the winter months the cottage is advertised as sleeping room for 5 only as the Bunkie is not open. There is a hiking trail down the street and a bike path that follows the shores of Lake Huron all the way to the Port Elgin beach. This reservation has a Super Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 14 day prior to the check in date. A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 7 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request. Our house rules: primary renter must be 25 or older, smoking permitted, no parties or events, pets permitted. No smoking inside cottage

Loved your cottage Emily! I’ve never been on south beach before (and I’m from Southampton) so it was a pleasant, quieter surprise😊 Your kitchen is stocked with pretty much everything you need which was nice because you never know what you could be making for dinner so it made meal prepping super easy. We enjoyed a few fires together, which we all love doing, as we had a trailer when my kids were smaller so it reminded us of those times. Thank you. Over all we really loved being “home” and your place made that possible for us. 🙏💕

I ended up leaving after the 2nd night (and lost both my money and my vacation). Whether or not you'll be happy depends on why you're there. I was there so I could take my dog to the beach. (The host knew this in advance) After I booked I learned there are no dogs allowed on the beach. The host reassured me, saying there were dog beaches. One dog beach is full of slag (incl fishing hooks & line) and not safe. The other dog beach is comprised of big round rocks impossible to walk on (not safe - I fell). The response of the host was, "I'm sorry the dog beaches didn't meet your expectations" - I actually wasn't expecting much, and basic safety is not "expectations", so I was rather unhappy with this response and the lack of honesty at the outset. The whole thing could have been avoided if she'd been straight with me. I would have rescheduled to October and it would have been great and I would have been a regular customer. As it is, I won't be going back. If you are not bringing Fido you will enjoy the property. The location is great, the kitchen is well equipped, and the host leaves a nice welcome. You do have to take out the garbage (including the garbage of the people before you if they didn't stay until garbage day). You are expected to clean, which I thought was reasonable, but I did find myself cleaning things when I wasn't the one who made them dirty. The place is tidy and in good repair. There's a fire pit and firewood outside as well as extra outside chairs which is nice if you're going with friends. It was nice and quiet.

This is a perfect cottage for our family (including our dog!) Second time we've stayed and the addition of the air conditioning and microwave were upgrades I didn't realize we needed. Wonderful!

Our stay at Emily’s Southampton cottage was beautiful. The place is very clean and cozy and well stocked. I love that it has an air conditioner.! The location was great with a beautiful yard and less then a 5 minute walk to a stunning beach.. Emily was very kind and thoughtful and very responsive. Arriving with a bottle of wine and chocolates and a kind note waiting was a beautiful touch and gave us a very warm welcoming. We will definitely stay again

This was our second time staying at this property and had a great experience both times! It is close to the beach and has a nice quiet backyard with a patio, fireplace and hammock! The new A/C unit was refreshing after a long day in the sun and the place was super clean and had all the necessities. The pwner is super friendly and accommodating and the bunkie is great for extra sleeping space. Highly, highly recommend!

The proximity to the Lake and the Rail Trail was perfect! Emily had all the bases covered to entertain from board games to Netflix. It was our slice of heaven.

The cottage is a very clean 2 bedroom space with a bunkie, a big yard and a 3 minute walk to a private beach. Emily was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. I would certainly recommend this to friends and family.

My family and I had a fantastic time. The cottage is meticulously clean. We felt so cozy during the night sitting around the wood burning fire and it was nice having a bbq in the sunshine the next day. Emily (the owner) is wonderful. She even had wine and chocolates waiting for us as a welcoming! We had a wonderful time and would recommend this to anyone!

Great little cottage, location was excellent as it was only a short walk to the beach. It didn't have a microwave which was a pain but we managed. Since there is no air conditioning the cottage heats up pretty quick on hot days and when using the oven. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

I really enjoyed my five and a half days at Southampton and my daughters did as well. The big plus was the short distance to the beach and the good weather. However, O did not like having to bring all the linen, including towels , blankets, and pillows. Since my one daughter was flying in from Vancouver and the other very busy with an upcoming move I had to provide for all. I felt the COVID issue was overplayed and will look for a place next year that provides more amenities.

Pictures are old. Newer more modern furniture now. Only Netflix on TV. No microwave but great to have washer and dryer. Close to the beach and very quiet especially during the week.

The property was very easy to rent, but somewhat difficult to make changes to the booking due to Covid. Once things were sorted out, the checkout was very simple, and the cottage was exactly as described. It even had the added bonus of having laundry facilities, if required. This cottage is a great find! Close to the beach, to town and easy to access. Emily is very easy to contact, and we had no issues. There is no microwave however, which did impact some meal prep, but we were able to work around it. We hope to return.
