Great location, house was very nice with the amenities. Cleaning had much to be desired, sand in beds, dirty bathroom carpets, kitchen floors were filthy as it left towels black getting mess up. Upper level carpet dirty and we received numerous flea bites and killed many fleas. Sliding door tracks need to be serviced as they are hard to open. Other than the cleanup, this house is perfect for large families, and we would still recommend it.

Nice home, clean and well kept. Property says it has an ice maker....was expecting an ice maker appliance but it was only the ice maker in the refrigerator. Great location and easy access to the beach.

We have stayed at this house for several years before taking a year off and going with a different house last year. We were pleased to find several updates to the house like more outside furniture and updated flooring upstairs. The hot tub pool cover is falling apart so we had white floating particles in the hot tub. We called the tech out because we didn't know what they were. In the end, the tech came out and assured us that it wasn't chemicals and it was safe to use. we did miss the ring toss wall game by the hot tub. Overall the stay was great and we will return again next year.

Carolina Shores people were wonderful even when we had a problem. Checking was easy check out was easy. Cleaning service could have done a much better job. House was not clean upon arrival. Floors were dirty. Furniture had crumbs and dirt. Countertops were filthy. Sheets smelled terrible where I had to strip the beds and wash all the sheets again. House needs major updates. Kind of old and worn out. Appliances need massive updating. Coffee machine was so old you couldn’t even read what the button said to start coffee. Other Apliances like extra coffee maker blender etc. in cabinets were filthy like no one ever washed them. House location to the beach and beach access is perfect though. Other than the cleanliness everything was great.

The cleaning crew did not clean surfaces. The fridge should be updated, kitchen gadgets are very old and limited. Sliding did not all work well. It was hard to open and close them. Mattresses should be updated especially in the kids rooms. They are very uncomfortable. Overall rating is food but these things should really be addressed. Also at the pool the water washed along of the foundation out from under the cement.

Wonderful space.
Plenty of beach stuff including chairs and close enough to the beach. Space was wonderful so everyone could spread out. We had boys and girls on first floor so we could have used an extra bathroom down there. Screened porch was so pleasant In the mornings.

We had a great stay. House was just as described. More than enough room for our family with 8 adults, 7 kids. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you need, including seafood boil! The hot tub never really got up to temperature, but we didn’t really use it much. The pool was cleaned in the beginning of the week, and perfect to jump in to cool down. Quick walk to the beautiful beach, and a quick bike ride to the sound to watch the beautiful sunset! 3 miles from grocery store and all conveniences. House came with 2 nice beach cruisers, beach toys and chairs. I think there were some umbrellas in there too. We had brought our own, but I would chance it next time and use theirs. Two outside showers was really nice with the large party we had. The initial housekeeping left a few random items around the house (a sippy cup under the bed, a Gatorade bottle in the couch,). But other than that it was pretty clean. My brothers reported that the two queen beds were quite uncomfortable and appeared old and creaky. The two kings were comfy and the kids with the bunks had no complaints!We had a great stay and would definitely stay at this house again!!

It took away from the gorgeous view of the ocean so I bought a scrub brush and glass cleaner to wash the deck myself. I understand that bugs can’t be helped but the windows could have at least been washed. And just to note....we had two of our personal bikes stolen from under the deck while we were at dinner one night so just be sure to lock things up. Thankfully they didn’t take the house's bikes too!

First time and we loved it!!
This was a great house in a fantastic location. Just a very short walk to the public beach access. The house was nice and spacious and I loved the fact that there was a king suite up on the top floor away from the other bedrooms on the other floors. Pool and hot tub were nice and sparkling clean. Definitely a great vacation. The only tiny criticism I have is that the pool and hot tub cleaning person showed up unannounced which was a little unexpected. If that’s a concern to you I would recommend you ask the agency if there are any scheduled maintenance visits in advance.

Great amenities and close to beach
Everything was as pictured. Great amenities and proximity to beach. Views from the house were great and easy walk to restaurants. We got a lot of use on the decks and outdoor area by pool The only downside was wifi was weak for those working from home and the hot tub wasn’t working our first night.

Great Beach Getaway
We recently visited the Outer Banks and stayed at the Whalehead Beach house. We loved the location! We were just about a block away from the public beach entrance which made for very easy access getting on and off the beach.
The house was wonderful! It was pretty much as advertised aside from one small note. It had listed a fenced in yard which we were excited about since we were bringing out dog but the yard was in fact no fenced. Just the pool area was fenced. However, we still had a wonderful time and did not effect our stay.
The house was nice and clean upon arrival. The kitchen was fully stocked and there were 2 fridges (on the pool level and the kitchen level) which was great for a group of our size! We loved that there were so many amenities available to us! We enjoyed the pool, basketball, volleyball and the outdoor showers were a huge bonus! There were even extra beach chairs and umbrellas we were able to use at the beach.
We would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Corolla and we hope to be back ourselves!

We enjoyed our stay at Dreamers View. The view of the sunrise every morning makes this house a delight. Great location. Two minute walk to the beach access. The house was great. I wish the cleaning crew would've knocked down all the spider webs before we arrived, but that wasn't a big deal. Very lovely house.

This modest home is perfect for a group looking for an affordable stay in beautiful Corolla. The home lacks updated amenities, however, it is still a nice place with pool, hottub, comfortable furniture and bed. It didn't have a Keurig at the time of our stay, but it did have a 12 cup programmable coffee maker. The top floor and balconies provide beautiful views to the ocean. We would have appreciated if the balconies were swept down before we arrived because they were full of spiders and spiderwebs. Also all of the windows didn't have screens. One shortcoming of the house is the shower in the lower level has very low water pressure. I would recommend replacing the shower head. Overall, a great house, very close to the beach and far enough from everything else to give you the "secludedness" you're looking for.

Dreamers view was an adequate house at best. The biggest issue were the millipedes which invaded the downstairs each night. While Carolina shores sent an exterminator, the bugs kept coming. The children had to sleep upstairs because of the issue. I went back and read previous reviews and these bugs have been around since at least June but clearly nothing has been done to remidy the issue.
In addition, for a house that sleeps 15 the kitchen was inadequately stocked with flat wear. We had to buy plastic utensils. Additionally the one burner on the stove didn’t work nor did the ice maker in the freezer.

We could not have asked for a better location with this home! Steps away from the beach. The home was really lovely and would have been perfect with the exception of a real bug issue. There were millipedes everywhere on the bottom level, and some wondered their way upstairs. If you definitely need all 6 bedrooms, the guests on the bottom/basement level will not have a good time. Overall we really enjoyed our stay - lovely pool (also with bugs), awesome backyard for the kids, and the most beautiful view.

We were not pleased with the check-in process. We visited the rental office at 9am; they offered to call if/when house was cleaned in case we could check in sooner. By 3:45pm, I had not been called and went ahead to the rental office. I was concerned if the house was ready/clean. They said yes, they didn't call me because the cleaning staff had just called to say it was ready. When we opened the door, worms were all over the basement floor. As we started unpacking, the cleaning company showed up at 4:20pm to clean the house! They stated they had not called the office to say the house had been cleaned. Also, we had been offered the 10% military discount at the office (9am) as long as we had documentation. We provided copies of the military ID documentation, and the young woman stated there would be no problem honoring it. Then when offered a 10% discount for the cleaning error, the military discount was retracted. All of this was not communicated well and seemed genuinely unfair. The manager who called me explained the military discount could only be honored at the beginning of the rental process; however, on the booking website and on the lease agreement sent, there are no instructions for handling the military discount. It should have been honored as we were told during check-in, and we should not have been misled by the young woman at the desk who took the documentation. We heard one of the Carolina Shores owners has a military family. With two war veterans (one being my dad 76 yrs old- Vietnam; another Gulf War) and another former army enlisted member in our family and staying in the house, we were highly disappointed and felt disrespected. Also, it appeared we were lied to about the house cleaning. We have vacationed in the outer banks for 13 yrs and this is our first time renting with Carolina Shores. I would be hesitant to rent again with the company based on how our family was treated. Otherwise, the house itself and location was great.

This was the 3rd time we've stayed at this property - the location is great and the owners have continued to update the property over the years. We fit comfortably with 6 adults and 5 kids.
The only issues we had this time were that the pool was not vacuumed when we arrived - (sand at the bottom of pool). There were several millipede type bugs that were all over the bottom floor area - we called the Management company who responded quickly with sending over a pest company to spray, but the problem never really went away the entire stay - with 2 bedrooms on that floor it was less than ideal sleeping conditions.

The house we rented - Dreamers View- was the perfect home for our 3 families of 7 - plenty of space 3 levels - 2nd row from beach with beautiful views of the ocean - very nicely decorated - pool & hot tub we enjoyed. We loved our stay at Dreamer's View! We had a big family- 10 adults and 3 little ones- and it was plenty of space for us all to feel comfortable and uncrowded. We especially liked the pool area and the outdoor showers- which were so helpful for sandy children! The location couldn't be more convenient to the beach, grocery stores and rental office. Just a fantastic experience all around. The only note I would make for future renters is there are a lot of stairs in this house so it would not be a good fit for folks with disabilities or seniors with mobility issues. The kitchen is on the very top floor, so everyone has to be able to climb 3 flights of stairs.

Great accommodations for nine adults, one child, one baby and two dogs. Kitchen was fully stocked for everything we needed to cook in every night. Great location with the beach views and quick walk to the public beach access, and about 1 mile drive to the drive on beach. Only two complaints where that when we checked in at 4:30 the house was still being cleaned and wasn't ready for another hour. Additionally all of our guest complained about their mattresses being uncomfortable and should be upgraded/replaced. In regards to the property management company, received a phone call on our drive down that we had to pick up the keys in Kitty Hawk as they were closing the Corolla office early which was fine however, they did not notify me that we had to return the keys in Kitty Hawk as well. Try to return the keys to the Corolla office and was surprised to see that it had closed for the season.

This was our second time staying in this house and we really appreciate the updates and care that the owners have provided for the house. The updated bathrooms were very nice. This was our second time renting Dreamers View. The view is breath taking I believe it the perfect house ! Roomy, clean, has everything your own home has , good size pool, multi levels and rooms seem to be pretty sound proof with 6 high school and college kids we hardly heard them at night . I highly recommend this house . We will be returning every year to Dreamers view !
