About this cottage rental
Charming two story cottage located on a quiet street adjacent to Holland State Park, just a hop, skip and a jump from the General Store, bike paths, Ottawa Beach...and of course..."Big Red" Lighthouse. This historic cottage has just been totally redecorated and newly furnished. You only need to bring your linens and towels. Lots of cottage charm, super clean, and can sleeps 6 comfortably. The bedrooms consist of a master bedroom with a queen size bed, and two twin beds in both of the remaining two bedrooms. On the first floor is a large family room, kitchen, half bath with the laundry room. and a screen in front porch. The second floor has a full bath room and the three bedrooms. Outside is a private & shaded back yard with a furnished deck, lots of flowers, bar-b-que grill, and an enclosed side shed. Pets are welcome to the cottage as long as they are not left on tender for a long period of time and that you clean up after them. There is a pet charge.
Cottage rental deposits & final payment can be made securely by using, credit cards, and bank payments.
Note: This cottage is located next door to our other cottage rental. This makes it enjoyable for large families or friends to vacation together.
Note: A cleaning fee of $150 will be a charged per rental period. Pets are welcome to the cottage. A pet fee of $65 will be added.

This was a great property, very clean. Great location. You are essentially in the park. I will say it truly is an old cottage with steep stairs and the bathroom located right at the top as another reviewer had said, so keep that in mind if you have young kids, though ours (2 and 4) were fine overall. Check in was easy and Craig was very friendly and attentive. We had our dogs and they did well there. There was a nice small yard with a deck and grill.Only note I would have is some minor items (2 outlets in the living room did not work), smaller TV if you have a rainy day and the kiddos want to watch something. That being said, overall a good experience and again a great location to both Ottawa Beach and Holland and reasonable for the price too. We enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was in a great location. It was a quick walk to the Ottawa Beach State Park and Mt Pisgah trail. The house was cottage style so some age related issues were expected. Kitchen was updated and mostly well equipped (we had to supply a few things that are usually provided when renting a home). We enjoyed the deck and spacious table with umbrella and the front screened porch. The property could have been cleaner and better presented. We could have also asked for the property to be recleaned when we realized that it was not up to our standards of cleanliness; the owner lives nearby and I assume would have responded quickly, if asked. COVID has made us all more aware that cleanliness is important for peace of mind.
