Beach front Cottage, close to downtown - Private Beach and Great Water views
About this cottage rental
Situated in Wellfleet, this lovely cottage for $473 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. I do not advertise on Craigslist and do not take Western Union as a form of payment. This cottage is right on the water and there are steps right down to a private beach! It is one of 20 free standing condo cottages at the Wellfleeter and has a spectacular waterfront view of Wellfleet Harbor and Cape Cod Bay from the master bedroom, the kitchen and the living room. Wow- it still surprises me how amazing the view is when I go over there. It is cottage #9. The association stairs- there are about 15 steps- lead you down to the sandy bay beach for swimming, boating, fishing, shell fishing, or just plain relaxing! There are two or three steps up to get into the cottage. The sunsets will take your breath away. The beach is just 20 ft from this condo. Right down the street from the playground, skateboard park, tennis and basketball courts. The town pier, many restaurants, art galleries and shopping in downtown Wellfleet are within a short distance. I often walk it. The cottage has wireless internet. We have a washer and dryer in the basement which is accessed from the outside of the cottage through a bulkhead. We have three bedrooms; one with a queen bed, one with a full size bed and one with two twin beds. Each bedroom has a closet and dresser. We provide mattress pads, pillows and blankets. YOU are responsible for BRINGing your sheets and bath towels. The kitchen has a table to eat in and also a slider out to the patio where we have our grill and waterfront picnic table. We have tried to stock the kitchen with anything you might need pot and pan wise. We have dishes, glasses, flatware and a dishwasher. We have spices, olive oil and some of the basic items you might want/need; a roll of paper towels, aluminum foil, saran wrap, dish & dishwasher soap, and coffee. If you expect to use more paper goods please bring them and leave the cottage as you found it with a roll of towels for the next guests. We have a basement with beach chairs, beach toys and a washer and dryer. Feel free to use all of it! This really is a special spot! This is the best spot on the planet. So gorgeous and the cottage was lovely and iconic of a beach house. We absolutely loved our visit. There were sand toys for the kids, beach chairs, games, full kitchen setup, and we were feet from the ocean. ❤️

We have stayed at this amazing property three times, and we will be going back again next year! The view of the waterfront is expansive and truly gorgeous. The location of the cottage is perfect, right by the bay beach and also close to restaurants. The property is very clean too. Highly recommend!

Adorable cottage overlooking the private beach! Beautiful views, perfect to sit at the picnic table with your morning coffee or at night watching the stars twinkle. Cross breezes keep the cottage cool…. We walked in to a fresh bouquet of wild flowers on the island! How thoughtful and pretty! The cottage was thoughtfully stocked with just about every kitchen tool one might need. Meticulously clean and tidy. Everything from kids games to fans to cleaning supplies. Everything we needed was there. Kathleen was responsive to the few questions we did have. I highly recommend this property!

Our family of 5 (kids 10, 8, and 6) were happy to call this cottage on the beach our home for three weeks in Summer 2022. The cottage is truly waterfront behind a seawall with an unimpeded 270 degree view of Wellfleet Harbor (the Gut and Great Island, Mayo Beach, and the Federal channel). From sunup to sundown you can watch the comings and goings of the working shell/fishing fleet and pleasurecraft. There's a fantastic sandy beach just down the stairs traversing the seawall, though you should know there is no usable beach area at the peak of high tide. Nevertheless this leaves you with many hours daily of perfect sandy beach without seaweed. As with most Wellfleet beaches, bring your water shoes because there are lots of sharp shells on the beach - especially if you're in the water at low tide. The house has everything - well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms as well as all the beach toys you and your kids could want. It's super convenient - 8-10 minute walk to Mayo Beach, Ceraldi, Mac's On the Pier, and the Pearl in one direction and Chequesset Club (open to the public) in the other direction. 20 minute walk to Mac's Shack. 25 minute walk to BOL, Wellfleet Market, Hatch's, Emack and Bolio's, Sickday, and everything else in Wellfleet Center. If you're a runner this is the best place in Wellfleet you can stay - you can easily have a 10 mile scenic, hilly route without needing to set foot onto Route 6.

Great week in Wellfleet made even better at this beautiful location. Clean, right on the water, walking distance to food, ice cream, and beautiful strolls. Twnth minute drive to Provincetown. Looking forward to returning!

The view right on the water was spectacular and healing. There’s nothing like falling asleep to the sound of waves and having coffee on the picnic table on the patio. So nice! I’ll be back for sure!

We enjoyed every second and can’t wait to go back!

We had a fantastic week in this lovely condo. Kathleen stocked the kitchen very well and it was extremely clean. The neighborhood was very quiet. This is a beautiful home which has been kept in pristine condition by the owner, Kathleen. Location is terrific as well. Home is right on the bay, with amazing views. We were fortunate enough to see a blood orange full moon rising over the water on our stay. Home was well stocked with the essentials you would expect to find in a quality home, but also included additional items you don't always find. Washer and dryer are found in an immaculate basement that can only be accessed through the bulkhead outside. That was not an issue for us, but worth noting. Kathleen was highly engaged and very responsive to any questions we had before our visit. This is clearly a 5* home and we would be happy to rent again.
