About this house rental
Situated in West Beach, this attractive house for $300 per night is a great option for your next trip. Everyone needs a little R&R every now and then. The Reef & Reel provides plenty of rest and relaxation. The beach is only 100 yards from the front door by way of the boardwalk beach access across the street. Little Lagoon is only 50 yards out the back door, where you will find your very own boat slip. This property provides a fishing dock, private sandy beach area on the lagoon, and a small community pool. This house has it all! Located 3.7 miles from the intersection of Hwy 59 on West Beach Blvd, you are close to the great restaurants and shopping but yet in a very quiet part of Gulf Shores. Right out the front door of this house you will find a breath taking view of the Gulf of Mexico. The back deck has a great view of Little Lagoon. This lagoon is famous for record catches of spotted trout, red fish, flounder, and stingrays. Our family favorite is catching blue crab. Of course, you can clean your fish at the fish cleaning station at the pier, which goes out into the lagoon. Have your own boat? You can keep it in the waters during your stay using the private boat slip. You can enjoy access to the community swimming pool. This is NOT a condo ... this is your own house. It is very hard to find a 3 bedroom, 3 bath house with a great gulf view, a lagoon for fishing, a swimming pool, and lots of privacy! The home sleeps 10 with 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, a queen sleeper sofa, and 2 twin roll-away beds. There are also 3 full baths. Two bedrooms and two baths are upstairs and both have incredible views of the gulf that open onto a large deck. The third bedroom and bath are downstairs with a deck looking out onto the lagoon. There are tables and chairs on all of the decks. Also, you will find on the first floor a kitchen, eating area, living room, and laundry room. Sliding doors take you from the living room onto a deck overlooking the gulf. The living room has ample sitting options. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need. There is a 47" high definition TV in the living room and high definition TVs in each bedroom. Oversized vans nor campers will fit under the house. There is only 3 parking spaces available under the house.

We had a wonderful time! The walk to the beach was easy and the beaches were over crowded. Having to dock in the back and small beach areas made for a good break and we got to adventure the bay side waters seeing crabs and fishing. The only negative was the room not being ready when we arrived at 4 but overall we had a great stay

Reef and Reel could not have been more perfect for our first family vacation to the beach! The listing was so accurate. The house was so close to the beach and we loved watching the ocean from the balcony while we drank coffee. We even saw dolphins swimming one morning from the balcony - so cool!
The house was clean and decorated so nicely with beachy decor. We especially loved the set up- grandparents stayed on the first level with their own bathroom, while my family of four stayed in the two bedrooms upstairs. Each room having its own bathroom was amazing and access to a washer and dryer was so convenient.
The big comfy sectional was also so nice in the living room because of all 6 of us could be seated comfortably (for some reason, that tends to be lacking in other houses we’ve rented or looked at).
My kids (2 and 6) loved all of the beach toys provided. It was also fun to take the kids to the pool or down to the lagoon in the evening after a long day at the beach.
The owner was so responsive to any needs or questions. We couldn’t stop, and can’t stop talking about how much we loved staying at Reef and Reel and hope to come back again for our next beach vacation!

WeWe loved our stay here - the boardwalk made access to the beach very easy and we also loved the fishing dock in the back of the property. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable and clean. There were lots of chairs and beach items in the storage area that we could use. We were about 3 miles from the main drag which meant the beach itself was not as crowded but it was still convenient to go to restaurants and shopping. We loved this place and I can't say enough good things. We hope to be back soon!

Our family of 4 met up with my sister’s family of three. Overall, the house was great. It was stocked with everything you need to get started on vacation. The location was perfect for beach going because we had private access; however, it is a little further down so you can’t really walk to anything. We enjoyed having the pool to relax in after the beach!

We stayed for 7 nights and it was a great experience. The house is across the street from the beach but it is very easy to cross and we have 6 kids, 4 of them are little. Our big kids loved the lagoon area and riding bikes that house provided. There were also plenty of beach items and toys as well. The kitchen was very well stocked and we had plenty of room for our family of 10! We had one small issue during our stay, the AC was having a hard time keeping up. I contacted Shannon after-hours and she responded quickly and had someone out the next day. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Property was just as described. Being right across the street from the beach was the best part. Owner responded immediately to the one request we had. Garbage disposal didn’t work which caused the sink to back up but no biggie. Would stay again.

My family had a great time! The home is in a great location with access to the lagoon in the back area and a quick, easy walk to the beach and ocean in the front. Home had a cute beach theme, and was comfortable for the 8 of us.

This property is exactly how's it listed. Everything was wonderful. You have the beach, you can go fishing , and pool right there. You don't have to go out far. The hostess was wonderful and on point!! Would definitely rent again and recommend it!!

Family, Friends and Summer Fun
We were beyond satisfied with our stay at Herron Landing! It was beyond what we could have asked for. The owners were a joy to work with. They are very responsive! The neighborhood was very quiet and away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to go shopping. This house has everything you need and more! We had 6 adults and 3 kids (13, 10, and 8). The adults slept in the 3 bedrooms and the kids made a pallet on the couch. There are two roll away beds but we did not use them. The linens were super clean. It was so nice having three bathrooms. The kitchen is well stocked with your basic cooking needs. We cooked in every night but one. We enjoyed eating out on the front deck. The beach is across the street via a wooden pathway. The beaches were not overly crowded. We enjoyed our days soaking up the sun and in the evenings we enjoyed fishing down at the lagoon. The sunsets are beautiful on the lagoon. The owners have a great supply of beach toys, crab baskets, chairs, fishing poles etc. they also supply some beach chairs. I would definitely recommend bringing a beach wagon to carry your beach items across the street. It was also nice having a washer and dryer. We can’t wait to book another vacation here. Lots of laughter and memories were made by all!

This has to be one of the best properties we've every stayed in. The rooms were so big and having 3 bathrooms was wonderful. Beds were good. Kitchen supplies were really good. Not sure if they were new but they worked well. Not much of a pantry but we did fine. You won't regret staying here. We had 4 adults and 3 kids age 4 to 14. This is an AWESOME house!

This has to be one of the best properties we've every stayed in. The rooms were so big and having 3 bathrooms was wonderful. Beds were good. Kitchen supplies were really good. Not sure if they were new but they worked well. Not much of a pantry but we did fine. You won't regret staying here. We had 4 adults and 3 kids age 4 to 14. This is an AWESOME house!
