We felt the room was small, matress needs replacing, lack of toiletries towards the end of our holiday. We love this hotel as we have been coming for the last 7 years but we were disappointed that there did not seem to be any ongoing maintenance since last year.

Great location, nice bedroom and bathroom

We had an ant infestation at 3.30am with ants in our bed and a trail of them running through the room along the mattress and up the wall. There was no one available at reception overnight so we phoned the number left at reception, sent a WhatsApp with photos but no one answered our call or message. We cleaned the room but continued to have ants running over us through the night. The next morning still no one at reception. We went back later that morning when the hotelier recognised us … we had contacted Booking.com direct because we had an issue and no one there to assist when we needed them. The hotelier didn’t have another room to offer us so she was happy for us to leave and find somewhere else to stay the second night of our booking offering a refund for the second night. We went to our room and showed the cleaner the ants still running over our bed. We received a refund in cash for the night we did not stay but later found the hotel said we were a ‘no show’ which is untrue. The hotel was ideal, unfortunately the person who was supposed to help when we had an issue let the hotel down. For clarity we didn’t have food in the room and hotelier never even came to look at the problem in our room. A few ants we could handle, it happens, but this was not pleasant.
