About this cabin rental

Located in Truckee, this lovely cabin for $225 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. Your home away from home awaits you in the Tahoe Donner community in Truckee. This house offers three bedrooms and a loft with queen futon. The upstairs main bedroom has a king bed with attached full bath. Two bedrooms downstairs, one with queen bed and the other with one twin and a twin/over double bunk bed, with 2nd full bathroom down the hall. Washer/dryer and linens included. The house features a well-equipped kitchen, secluded back deck and an attached garage with a 240v EV charging plug (bring your charging cord). The living room has a wood burning stove and flat-screen TV with Chrome cast. Upstairs there is a small flat screen TV in the bedroom and a monitor screen in the loft. That one is not attached to cable, but can be connected to a laptop or game console. HDMI cable attached. A flat driveway and WiFi internet complete the easy living atmosphere. The rental includes guest access to the community centers, pool, clubhouse and fitness areas for a $16 fee. Golf or hike in summer or try boating on the lakes. Enjoy downhill and cross country ski areas in winter. 5 mins from Donner Lake, 20 mins from Alpine and Palisades ski areas, 40 mins from Lake Tahoe activities. Pets allowed, but due to allergies please no cats.

This is a great place to stay if you want a quiet family setting. It was like being at home. The best thing is hard to pick out for me, but I am going to highlight the responsiveness of the hosts! Every text was answered within a couple of hours. For instance this home has a great wood burning stove and we like to have a fire going. We ran low on wood during the stay and it was promptly resupplied by their local fire wood guy! Super hosts John & Lisa!

We had a great time staying in Truckee... The house was very clean and organized. Our communication with our host was excellent. I enjoyed our stay. It was easy to get to. The lot was nice being surrounded by trees in the back and on one side. It was very private. And having access to the garage was a relief... It was easy to relax and enjoy the snow fall with the family...

The cabin was as described. It was perfect for our family and we enjoyed building puzzles and playing games at the table after skiing. The location was nice as the exit onto the street is flat and easy to negotiate in the snow. We were informed of maintenance issues and we were able to work around these without any problem. The value is great and I hope you enjoy your stay!

We rented this cabin durring holiday week off so that we could ski the local resorts. Great locaation close to everything and a well stocked kitchen and laundry facility.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house has a great layout, with room in the driveway for cars (no need to park on the street), a lot of beds, and a nice great room for everyone to be together. The house itself is a bit dated, but the owners are improving facilities like the bathrooms. Well stocked in terms of kitchen cooking equipment.

Stayed at John and Lisa's cabin with some close friends and absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, the weather was not great but we were still able to do some hiking and go out to the lake. The cabin had enough space for our group and were very comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Conveniently located in the Tahoe Donner neighborhood. 9 min drive to a 24-hr Safeway. Owners are clear with the check-in instructions and very responsive with our questions. Thank you.

This has been a wonderful stay. 4-5 miles from Donner Lake, quiet neighborhood. The house was neat and clean, very spacious including all necessary utilities. The kitchen was reasonably stocked. The hosts were very fast in communications. We did not face any issue! It was very smooth and we would love to stay here again..

The place was as described and how it looked in the picture. Full of snow. But it was plowed, so that was good. Had a fun time although we could not go outside in the back yard. We communicated a lot before we traveled. They were very patient with us since we weren't sure we wanted to go or not with the huge storm. Glad we went. Glad we stayed there.

Our group of 6 adults & 1 dog enjoyed a very happy Thanksgiving in this house. It is roomier than it appears, and we could have easily had 2 more people. The house is a little dated but it has a good floorplan with lots of amenities, and the kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes and cookware (which was much appreciated by our group of dedicated cooks). Our only problem was with the electric stove - two of the burners were not working but we were able to produce a big meal with a little maneuvering. I expect plans are in the works to repair or replace the stove. Other than that we had a great time!

John and Liza are amazing hosts - checkin, communication, welcomeness, etc. The cabin is well located, clean, and has it’s mountain cozy feel. The kitchen is well stocked (separate thank you for the waffle maker). Our family will come back for sure!

We greatly enjoyed our short trip to Tahoe Donner. This cabin had plenty of space for my family (two kids, two adults, and a small dog) on a nice quiet street. Great neighborhood and location, easy logistics to get in and check out. We'd love to stay here again.

The home was comfortable and spacious, in a quiet peaceful location. The owners communicated well and were responsive to any messages. Only negative aspect were some inconsiderate and intrusive neighbors but no fault of the property owners.

We really enjoyed our ~2 week stay at this cabin. It is exactly as described and was exactly what we were looking for. We were doing some remote work (the internet supported video conferencing well) as well as enjoying the amenities. In particular we enjoyed the back deck for meals and relaxing. Would stay here again!
